Look, I’ve been seeing a lot of good stuff about the 2026 Hokuto no Ken remake, and I have some mixed feelings. Let’s be clear: the original '84 series is an untouchable masterpiece. No remake can ever replace that. But the new one? It’s a bit of a double-edged sword.

On one hand, the animation is a massive win. The fight choreography is so fluid and dynamic—it’s a huge leap from the old static, choppy frames. You can finally 'feel' the impact of the Hokuto Shinken techniques. Plus, I give them credit for keeping the brutality intact; unlike Souten no Ken, they didn’t censor the gore, which is crucial for the atmosphere.

But here’s where it. Where is the soul?

First off, the soundscape is a major letdown. Those classic OSTs were 40% of the experience—the heart of the battles. Replacing them with generic modern tracks, including the new OP/ED, just doesn't hit the same way. The original voice actors had this gravelly, legendary intensity that the new cast just can't match.

Also, I think the pacing is a missed opportunity. I actually noticed that I am a fan of 'filler' for Hokuto—if it’s used to build the world or flesh out side characters. They could’ve given us some great side-stories(with notes) to deepen the lore instead of just rushing the plot. Just tag them as 'side episodes'—those who want to enjoy the world-building can watch, and the others can skip.

Finally, it feels disconnected. I’m missing those small visual homages that would’ve really bridged the gap between the old and the new.

Don't get me wrong, the remake is a high-budget, polished product, but it feels like it’s chasing modern standards while letting go of the identity that made Fist of the North Star a legend. It’s a good(as CGI compared to the modern animes) to watch, but for the veterans, it’s missing that raw, haunting heart.

In the end, I enjoyed it, so I wanted to give my opinion about it.

الموضوع هو و راح اگول برأيي حتى لو اشوفه صح . انه من الاساس انا و هواي ناس . ما ردنا كريتوس يكبر بهذا العمر اصلاً فوگها يخلون جزء الجديد لزوجته ؟ يعني صعبة اذا خلوا جزء جديد كريتوس ينقذ زوجته نوب تصير لعبة spilt screen (لعبة زوجية ) مثلاً ؟ انه شيء جديد ك لعبة god of war . لا مو صعبة .

هسه راح تگول الناس ها انت ضد هذا فكرة لانه بيها فيميل و بيها امرأة وهذا الاشياء . لا. الفكرة من أساس رجولية هذا هي الحقيقة. لو صدك يريدون تغير ويخلون بيها تركيز على انوثة ليش ما صنعوا جزء خاص عن أثينا و شلون مثلاً اثينا واجهة مصاعب لاصلاح ذلك العالم بعد ما كريتوس ترك عالم الاغريق . مو يخلونه بتسائل ونظريات عن عالم الاغريق . يمكن هسه اثينا صلحت العالم بعد ما تركه كريتوس واحنه ما ندري.

وكل هذا ما اريد هذا شيء 100% نريد اجزاء شصار لكريتوس قبل لا تموت زوجته ، حسب ما اتذكر ضل ما يقارب مئات السنين في ميدغارد قبل جزء 2018 . وما نريد كريتوس يكبر بهذا العمر بسرعة ، للعلم 2018 جزء حلو وممتع ما عندي اشكال بيه بس رسالة واضحة . و الدليل راغنيرروك و هذا جزء الجديد و جزء صنعوا النا لعبة 2d بحجة تغير و كلاوت . منظور شخص الاول : وهو لاعب متحكم و شخصية و الكامرة هم كيان بمنظور واحد الي هو انت ، يعني شلون ؟ يعني مثلنا احنه البشر. العقل يتحكم بالجسد و العين صار ثلاث شخصيات بأن واحد ولكن واحد منهم متحكم وهو العقل . (اندماج)

منظور شخص ثالث هو انه يوجد ثلاث شخصيات متفرقة حتى لو انت ثالث المتحكم ولكن ماكو اندماج بالموضوع ، الكاميرة (العين) بحدها تكدر تتحكم بيها انت و لاعب او الشخصية . وغالباً كاميرة تكون خلف الشخصية.

اما منظور شخص الثاني يمكن يعرف البعض منكم شنو هي . الفكرة ناشرينها هي ان انت متحكم ب الشخصية و لكن العين تكون عند شخصية اخرى مثل لعبة Seren . يعني صار شخصين و ثالث منعزل ، شخص اول (انت متحكم) شخص ثاني (لاعب تتحكم بيه ) شخص ثالث منعزل عندكم يكون npc وبنفس الوقت كامرة وهذا هو لم يضيفوا شرح اخر

انا اشوف انه مو بس هذا الشيء ، اشوف ان منظور شخص الثاني الي هو لا تستطيع انت تحكم ب الكامرة بشكل حر . مثل شنو ؟ مثل العاب سايلنت هيل بلي 1 و 2 ، او رزنت ايفل قديمات.

انت هنا تلعب لعبة شخصين فقط انت متحكم و الشخصية. الكامرة هنا متحكم مالها غالباً يكون لعبة نفسها التي غالباً تكون او تشبه كامرة مراقبة . لذا اغلب لاعبين و الشركات يتفقون ان منظور شخص ثاني انه شخصية ثانية عندها كامرة تشوف شخصيتك وانت مراقب وهذا فقط اما لعبة سايلنت هيل قديمة يعتبرونها منظور شخص 3 fixed camera وانا هنا لا اتفق ، لذا ما رأيكم هل شرحي واضح هل فكرة منطقية ؟
