Just a heads-up for everyone in Airoli.
Today, while walking near Sector 7 towards the Airoli–Mulund Road (near the McDonald's), I had an encounter that felt like an attempted scam.
Two men were walking on the footpath. As I passed them Two men were walking towards me on the footpath. One passed on my left while the other came from my right, leaving me with very little space to walk. It felt like they intentionally boxed me in, forcing slight body contact as I tried to squeeze through
One(younger guy out of them) made it appear as if his phone had fallen because I bumped into him. I apologized and kept walking, but they followed me and stopped me further ahead.
They started asking, "What should we do now?" and then asked how much money I had. They also tried to take me aside. I calmly said that the phone was already in his hand and that it didn't fall because of me. One of them then got aggressive and even threatened to take my phone.
I didn't argue, didn't hand over any money, and simply walked away safely.
I'm posting this so others can stay alert. If someone tries to blame you for dropping or damaging their phone and starts demanding money, don't go with them or let them isolate you. Stay in a crowded area and leave if you can safely do so.
Has anyone else experienced something similar around Airoli?
Imagine getting offended because a mod said "our priority is equality, not feminism."
If that statement bothers you, maybe your priority was never equality; it was the label.
Some people defend the banner harder than the principle. Says enough about their priorities.
The people who get triggered by the word "merit" Why the only defense they have is "If you would have studied you won't have any issue with reservation" like i never found any logic with that statement??
Besides the fact its a holy cope
Why are they so reluctant to accept that whatever but a student who got into will always be less meritorious than their open counter parts??
Some people still think prioritising MERIT isn't the reason why reservation should be removed
India is lagging behind bcz of lack of MERITOCRACY and its evident by Brain drain, etc
But some people still think prioritising MERIT ain't valid enough
I brought him this slinky 3 days ago
And today idk how but he is wearing it like bangles
Ig he likes them as bangles 🤣
A Female Chief Ticket Inspector was suspended after a viral video allegedly showed her assaulting a male passenger at Chittoor railway station. While the male police officer couldn't stop her, neither later on when the CTO attacked the Camera person
What disturbed me even more than the incident itself was the response of the people around. The passenger kept his cool and did not retaliate, while another bystander recorded the incident. That person recording also appeared to be attacked. Yet despite all this, most people around seemed to continue filming instead of trying to de-escalate the situation, call security, or ensure those being targeted were safe.
Recording incidents is important it preserves evidence and can lead to accountability. But when everyone becomes a spectator, basic humanity is lost. Even if physically intervening isn't safe, there are still ways to help. A society where everyone films but no one acts is not something we should normalize.
Tbh, I'm really worried about myself because I'm a boy.
There are laws in our country that protect only one gender, not everyone. Rape laws don't recognize male victims, and men facing domestic abuse often have little legal recognition.
I recently saw a case where an adult woman challenged allegations of sexually abusing an underage boy because POCSO isn't gender-neutral. It made me wonder: if something happens to me, would I even be seen as a victim?
Even socially, if a girl slaps a man, people assume he did something wrong. If he defends himself, the crowd is often ready to attack him.
The feeling itself makes me wonder: am I even going to be seen as a human in the eyes of the law?
Adult men here, how do you deal with these concerns? And why do so many men stay silent?
Issue is you go around everywhere claiming you like pancake and waffle equally while you keep liking only pancake
You should get your claims right first b!...
Say it openly that you like pancake and not so sure for other
EDIT: I like both pancake and waffle, don't coerce those people to your "I like pancake" club
Feminism isn't equal to Gender Equality guys

Many people i have seen think Feminism is about Gender Equality, those who think this way please understand it isnt and never can be

Feminism is a movement for empowerment of women and for equality of women rights and opportunities, it complete focuses on raising voice for women victims and not any one else

You must have seen men commenting under women issue regarding men victims cuz tbh many self acclaimed feminist i have seen go around using terms like GENDER EQUALITY = FEMINISM.

It is completely HALF TRUTH

GENDER EQUALITY = GENDER EGALITARIANISM

FEMINISM IS A SUBSET OF GENDER EQUALITY

So they dont want men to go around and voice their concerns over male victims under female victims

THEY SHOULDNT USE GENDER EQUALITY RANDOMLY WITHOUT ACTUALLY STICKING TO IT

Women have been oppressed tremendously in past society and it was need of those times And still today and it is too completely valid in today's time

But misleading the crowd to make them believe FEMINISM = GENDER EQUALITY is truly disgusting and deserves criticism

Cuz boys, understand if gender equality was the moto of feminism

Why had comments like "not related to feminism....." arise for male victims?

And please just accept that feminism is meant for for uplifting of women only, which again, is valid and is subset of OVERALL GENDER EQUALITY BUT NOT GENDER EQUALITY ITSELF IN ENTIRETY

But it needs to be made clear for all and not MISLED by the wording GENDER EQUALITY

It aint meant for men's equality and their issues

TLDR: FEMINISM ISNT GENDER EQUALITY ITS A SUBSET OF IT

A common response is: "Why wait for a woman's issue to bring up men's issues?"
I think the answer is more complicated than people admit.
For years, many people have been told that feminism is about equality for everyone. If that's how a movement is presented, then it is natural for some men to ask where men's issues fit into that framework.
When they raise concerns about male victims of abuse, biased social expectations, mental health, suicide, family court issues, workplace deaths, or false accusations, they are often met with responses such as:
"That's not what feminism is about.
"Start your own movement."
"This isn't related to feminism."
But if feminism is not responsible for addressing men's issues, then perhaps feminism and gender equality are not exactly the same thing. They may overlap, but they are not identical, and the phrase "Gender Equality" should be used with caution, and not without understanding its core concepts and ideology
Feminism is a subset of 'gender equality' not 'gender equality' itself , most men are misinformed about it
Another factor is that there is no equally mainstream, widely accepted support movement for men. As a result, many men feel their issues only receive attention when broader gender discussions are already taking place
At the same time, many women feel that men's issues are often raised only to derail conversations about women's problems rather than to solve anything. That criticism is sometimes fair as well.
The reality is that both things can be true:
Some people use men's issues as a distraction.
Some people dismiss men's issues whenever they are raised.
I also think both men and women struggle to acknowledge the harmful behaviour within their own groups, cuz be honest nobody wanna claim their bad apples as their own be it men or women.
Many men are quick to condemn misogynistic men but become defensive when discussing problems that disproportionately affect women.
Many women are quick to condemn misogyny but become defensive when discussing harmful and misandrist behaviour by women or biases that affect men .
Every group has bad actors. Ignoring them because they belong to "your side" only damages credibility.
Perhaps the real problem is that we've turned gender discussions into team sports.
If the goal is equality, then every genuine issue deserves discussion regardless of whether it affects men or women.
What do you think? Why do men's issues so often appear in conversations about women's issues, and is there a better way to discuss both without turning it into a competition?
A 22 yr old young man married off to 25 Yr old grown @** woman now 31 when he was 16
High court asks him to pay 2500rs
Are they dumb or playing dumb that why men call laws genocentric and biased or just blant excuse for man hating????
Seeing the reaction to the RG Kar victim's mother has made me wonder about something.
Many people are now condemning her statement and discussing political violence in Bengal. Fair enough everyone is free to criticize what she said.
But where was this level of concern when TMC leaders were accused of openly threatening opponents? Where was this outrage when people were discussing political intimidation, violence, and attacks in various parts of Bengal?
What bothers me is the inconsistency.
A lot of people outside Bengal who barely seemed interested in the state's affairs before are suddenly very invested in what is happening here. It often feels as if Bengal only becomes a national issue when it fits a particular political narrative.
If threats and violence are wrong, then they should be condemned regardless of who is responsible. The standards shouldn't change depending on whether the person involved belongs to TMC, BJP, or any other party.
The RG Kar case sparked outrage because people felt justice was not being served. Many ordinary Bengalis spoke up despite pressure and intimidation. Yet during those moments, a large number of the voices that are loud today seemed absent.
Political parties will always try to protect their interests. What is more disappointing is when citizens and commentators apply one standard to one side and a completely different standard to another.
Bengal deserves consistent concern, not selective concern.

Back in 11th, a girl from my class (also a student council member later on) once offered to help me during a college food fest I ignored her at the time as the work was given to me and it felt rude to let someone else do it.
Later on, I got to know more about her (after she became students council)and ended up really admiring her. She was smart, confident, and carried herself really well. We talked occasionally but were never close, and eventually drifted.
In 12th, towards the end during a science practical, I had a bit of a bad moment with her. I raised an issue about an instrument not working, and she made a comment that felt dismissive, like I wasn’t competent and didnt know how to work with the instrument.
She even tried using it herself to prove a point, but it turned out the instrument actually had a problem. Still, I felt embarrassed and angry witnessing her arrogant in that moment.
The thing is, I had brought flowers that same day because I was planning to tell her how I felt. After that incident, I got upset and threw them away. Looking back, that was probably an overreaction.
It’s been over a year now. We haven’t stayed in touch, and when I recently texted her, the conversation felt pretty dry.
I still have a strong sense of admiration for her, but I also know we don’t really have a connection anymore. She also comes from a Muslim background, so I’m mindful about not crossing any boundaries or making her uncomfortable.
Now I’m stuck between
telling her honestly just for closure
or respecting the distance and moving on
I don’t want to come across as random or make her uncomfortable if that’s the case, I’d rather back off.
What would you do in this situation?
The kitten is lost and nearby I found the cat family
