Canned sardines in Spain

Hey guys. I'm currently in Spain and been trying to get my hands on sardines in water. For some reason all brands only have a version in olive oil or tomato sauce. I know sardines are a big thing here but I can't for the life of me find sardines in water. Been getting them in olive oil so far and draining it which feels wasteful. Any tips?

An addictive book for a long flight

Hey guys, I got a 13 hour flight coming up and I need an extremely captivating book - one that I wouldn't wanna put down and that I'll be bummed for the flight to end because I'd like to keep reading.

I'd like it to be relatively light and read casually so I wouldn't wanna stop. Among my favorites that tick these boxes are Dark Matter, 11/22/63, Flowers for Algernon. I like some element of sophistication so no mysteries or thrillers unless they have something extra (like Dark Matter for example)

What's the most addictive book you've ever read and you can absolutely recommend?
Thanks a bunch in advance!

Season 9 is even more unwatchable the 2nd time

I finished my first watch of the show a few months ago and naturally, immediately started my second. On the first watch, I remember not liking the 9th season as much as the others (setting aside season 1) but the 2nd time, it makes me wanna start my 3rd watch without finishing the season.

Jim and Pam are seriously insufferable. Jim acting like it's his first day on earth when interacting with his colleagues in Philly. Pam calling Jim a thousand times when she knows he's supposed to be in an important meeting. Jim being the worst roommate ever and then being a dick about it. Pam not knowing how to operate a phone camera. I can go on and on.

I know it's a comedy and things are supposed to feel a bit surreal sometimes, but it felt like every little thing was just written in the most annoying way to serve the narrative instead of pulling it off in a more sophisticated fashion, which we know the show is capable of doing.

Andy's arc was terrible. Although I already couldn't care less about him in previous seasons, his behavior became even more exaggerated and idiotic.

Nellie was reduced to shreds. Pete and Clark were just not interesting. Even Erin's goofy bits were forsaken in favor of the whole "long distance relationship" with Andy. And then when he comes back she was always entangled in his juvenile jealousy instead of providing a comic relief.

I get why they thought it necessary to address the filming crew but I can't say I was a huge fan of the way they did that either.

Overall I think my criticism stems from the high standards this show had set with its countless iconic and ingenius moments. I expected much more and got a bit disappointed. The finale was nice though.

A few days at Iguazu Falls

Spent a few days visiting Iguazu falls - 2 days in Foz do Iguazu (Brazil) and another 2 in Puerto Iguazu (Argentina).

This turned out to be the perfect time of the year for this trip. Very little crowds, lower hotel prices, perfect weather (around 20 degrees throughout, just a couple hours of rain on the morning of day 3)

Visiting these falls has always been a dream of mine and I was so glad I could make it happen. They're one of the most breathtaking natural sights I've ever had the privilege of seeing and experiencing, and I can't recommend it enough to everyone.

The people of Foz were so nice and helpful even though I don't speak Portoguese. In most interactions I made sure it's okay with them for me to speak Spanish and they were always accommodating and understood most if not all of it.

Crossing the border this time of the year was seamless and quick. In the park itself on both sides - there weren't almost any lines outside and not enough people on the inside to limit my movement, which was amazing.

As a wildlife fan, being so close to the wild coatis and the monkeys was awesome, and also a great shout-out to Parque Das Aves in Brazil - make sure you have enough time to visit it after you're finished at the falls, it's right next door and you can easily do these consecutively. All birds and animals there were rescued from harsh conditions and it was so heartwarming to read their stories and also hear them from the employees.

I'll let the pics do the rest of the talking but if you guys have any questions about logistics or anything else let me know and I'll do my best to reply.

▲ 30 r/Alfajor

This is a rather successful listing mind you - 140 reviews with an almost perfect score.

We want to share with you the best of Valencia! That is, as long as you don't interact with us, touch our stuff or show yourself in the house. Always remember, you are a nuisance and a waste of oxygen. You are paying $1000 a month for a bed and nothing more. Showering should take place with a bucket outside. (not provided, should be purchased by the guest)
