Has anyone with an ordinary life and no obvious talents still found a loving relationship?

I'm 28 and work a remote white collar job that I'd describe as pretty mediocre. I don't feel like I have any standout talents or natural gifts. I'm not good at music, dancing, sports, painting, or anything that makes me interesting at first glance. I also don't consider myself exceptionally intelligent or naturally gifted in any area.

For the past few years, I've mostly stayed at home because of my remote job. The only times I usually go out are to watch movies, eat at restaurants, or attend family functions. My social life is quite limited at the moment.

I've never been in a relationship. One thing that has affected my confidence is that I don't even remember any girl looking at me, whether in college or when I'm out in public. I'm 182 cm tall with average fair skin. I think my face card is pretty average, but I'm doubtful of even that since no one seems to look at me.

I'm genuinely curious: are there people here who also felt they had no special talents or qualities that stood out, but still found a girlfriend or a happy relationship? If so, what changed for you?

Has anyone reached their late 20s feeling like they were born without any natural talent, and then discovered something later?

All of the people around me are genetically talented at least in one thing: either music, dance, sports, bone density, painting, writing, acrobatics, high intelligence, spontaneous problem solving, memory, etc. But here I am without any genetic talent.

I know some of these talents can be developed through training, but I don't think they can be truly excelled at if the genetics aren't there.

I am 29 now. For the past 6 years, I have spent most of my days at home watching reels, scrolling through social media, and only coming out to watch movies, eat something, or attend functions. Other than that, most of the time I am at home doing the above things and working a mediocre remote job.

Is there anyone like me out there who doesn't have any talent? Or has anyone felt like this around the age of 29 and then found their talent later by any means? Because till the age of 23, I was not able to find any genetic talent of mine, and now I have started to believe that I don't have one.

Is finding love after 29 in Kerala really this difficult?

Finding love after 29 in Kerala( tier 3 city) feels like a myth. After this age, teenagers won't look at you, and people around our age are already settled or busy trying to build their lives. Even divorcees seem to have conditions and want someone who ticks every box.

It feels like arranged marriage is the only option after 29, but if you're not earning more than ₹1 lakh a month, socially confident and handsome, you still end up feeling like a beggar in society. Even if you're average-looking or have one of those qualities, it feels like you still don't stand much of a chance unless you tick all the other boxes.

Does anyone else feel the same way?

How common is it in India to reach your 30s as a virgin?

I'm turning 30 next year and I'm still a virgin. I've never had any sexual experiences or been in a relationship.

I'm curious whether this is actually common in India, especially among people who are single in their late 20s and 30s. Social media often makes it seem like everyone is dating and sexually active, but I wonder how much of that reflects reality.

For those in their 30s, are most people already sexually experienced, or are there others who are still virgins and have never been in a relationship? Among singles in their 30s, is being a virgin relatively common, or are most people sexually experienced by that age?

Average QA here: What does your day-to-day work look like and what's your salary?

Hey all QAs out there , not the ones who are super intelligent, or using MCP + AI to generate all their UI automation test cases, or the ones who generated their own APIs to test their applications.

For others, How is your normal day-to-day work, and what is your salary?

I’ll explain mine.

When I get a functionality, I attend the sprint call and add my suggestions. Then I start writing test cases in Zephyr to support the manual QA. Once the API is ready, I start adding API automation using Rest Assured.

When the functionality is deployed, the manual QA starts executing the test cases in Zephyr, while I do exploratory and functional testing. I log issues in Jira, and once the issues are fixed, I verify them and perform regression testing.

After that, I focus on UI automation using Selenium (I do use Claude or ChatGPT by giving prompts such as "enter username in DOM element", "enter password in DOM element", etc.). My automation framework includes POM, Extent Reports, TestNG, Log4j, and Maven. I push the changes to Git and coordinate with DevOps to add them to the CI/CD pipeline.

Then the cycle repeats.

When I have free time, I do performance testing using JMeter for load testing (Prometheus via Backend Listener and Grafana are already set up by DevOps). I have intermediate knowledge of JMeter, including G1GC, max pool connections, controllers, RAM usage, and master-slave setup.

I earn 6 LPA in a remote job. I also need to check UI functionality, but that is mostly done manually as well.

Are most QAs working like this? Are you doing basic testing like me, or are you working on more advanced things like the random Reddit threads talk about?

Anyone else here 29+ who has never joined any matrimonial site or dating app, and keeps saying no whenever family brings up marriage

Anyone else here 28+ who has never joined any matrimonial site or dating app, and keeps saying no whenever family brings up marriage , mainly because of fear of rejection and having almost no exposure to girls?

I’m financially average but stable enough to live a decent family life. Still, I keep avoiding these platforms and conversations even though I strongly crave a relationship. Sometimes it feels like everyone around me is moving ahead while I’m mentally stuck in the same place.

Would genuinely like to know if others have gone through this phase or are dealing with the same thing.
