Ara Mu

Anyone here on Ara Mu? They seem extremely disorganized. Project has went live and paused over and over during the last week. Today got a notification for the new round and the deadline is tomorrow? Lol what? Like 36 hours? I did my first round last month and as soon as I made a copy of my sheet and shared with everyone I get a comment telling me to "pace up" 😂 like what dude? I've been on the project all of 5 minutes. The worst part is that I wasn't able to access any materials until a day late because they never gave me access and never responded to my ticket until a week after the round was over 🙄

Now today they basically want us to write all of our own scenarios but maps isn't even reading my Gmail or pulling any information from it. Gemini can, search can, ask maps cannot. All personalization is set to on. Is this happening for anyone else?

OneForma is a Scam

I did one, one time project giving them the data they asked for. Once the data was uploaded it was nothing but crickets. No one will answer my emails, mentioned payments, no further communication whatsoever. Avoid this platform at all costs.

Was just failed for no reason

I was just taking an assessment and passed all the inital questions, couldn't have been more simple. Then I was brought to a feedback page about the module and I rated it 2/5 because the videos had extremely poor audio and their English was hard to understand. As soon as I submitted the feedback my screen went black, everything reloaded back to my dashboard and it said I failed the onboarding... Wtf!?! Is there anything I can do?

Core Team

I am currently a contributor on a project and have found a couple core team positions that would be perfect for me. Does anyone know if my current project would prevent me from being considered or landing a core team position?

Getting Hired for Multiple Projects

Does anyone know if this is possible? I am currently on a project but have continued applying to others and I just want to make sure I'm not wasting my time... On the flip side, if I ask to be taken off a project does anyone know if that leaves a bad mark on my record with micro1? If I have to take the chance of removing myself from this project for the chance of a new one that's what I would end up doing but don't want to leave unless it's necessary. The project I'm currently on has had endless systemic issues, minimal or not prompt communication from leadership, and is pay per task making it worth very little monetarily not just for me but the majority of the team on slack is not happy and it's extremely noticeable. I understand negativity is everywhere but anytime I open the chats it's always accompanied with issues not being fixed, negativity, and an all around feeling of an environment not being bred for success and productivity and I very much so want to be in a project that seems like it's a priority and not at the bottom of the list.

Is it normal to run into multiple technical issues every day?

On my first project and we have had technical issue after technical issue every single day which is keeping everyone from being any kind of productive. I would be surprised if anyone in the project hit their minimum production numbers. Is this a project norm? I want to do great work to continue on future projects but this has been extremely frustrating and I want to know if this is the norm for other projects?

Been 2 weeks and no eval

What is going on here? I had some issues with my audio for the video project. They say solo video is to iron out the kinks. The video also instructs to only submit 1 until it goes through eval unless your testing multiple completely different set ups. I submitted a solo video 2 weeks ago. I've gone 2 weeks without being able to do any sessions for fear of bad quality and removal because the solo sessions have not been looked at or graded. What am I supposed to do here? Wing it and hope I don't get kicked off of the project? The ironic part is last one they actually reviewed they ask I give them a ton of information regarding my connection speed which I no longer have. I understand solo videos aren't the priority for the review team but are they even on the to do list? I would think they would want more contribution. Instead I've consistently had my available tasks lowered day after day because the tool they say is to help prevent that they disregard and now I'm in a corner with 3 available tasks and the choice of winging it and possibly getting removed altogether or not doing any sessions at all. Ugh.

Thanks for listening 😅

Didn't apply to position yet it shows up that I did apply...

Has this happened to anyone else? I received an email this morning saying that my interview showed promise and my application is now under review by the client. I checked my applied jobs because I wasn't sure what position they were talking about and I had a new project applied for on today's date that I definitely did not apply for and most definitely did not take an interview for.

Design or build ideas?

I recently moved into an apartment with a little backyard and patio. I have this bush covering half of the front of my patio which I love because it gives me privacy when I'm outside. A lot of other tenants buy a big sheet like balcony cover. I don't have to. I do understand this isn't my home and I don't own it but I plan on being here a while so I'm okay with building or buying something intricate that may require some effort. As you can see the inside of the bush/tree isnt hollowed out completely but there's a good amount of space under there and between the patio. What's something cool I can do or build in this area? I have experience with carpentry and flooring and building houses so I have the knowledge, just seems like I'm lacking on the creativity side right now and feel like I'm missing a good opportunity to do something cool. I also have a dog so im open to suggestions if there's anything I can build or put there for her too!

Calls going down

Does anyone else feel like they are getting dinged on calls for nothing? I did 4 calls yesterday and had 14 items to review. I got dinged for background noise when I spoke with a confirmation cue like "ok" "I agree" and I had about 20 samples to listen to from calls and half or more of them had zero noise. I put headphones on, turned my volume all the way up and heard absolutely nothing in the recordings.

When I do my calls I unplug all appliances as I'm next to the kitchen, I have a separate professional microphone and headset and because there's nothing in the recordings i don't know how to fix it and my call rate was just cut in half.

Is this happening to anyone else or does anyone have any advice for how I can fix this? I don't know how to fix it because I'm not hearing anything in the samples.

My microphone has its own noise cancelling which I haven't used because the audio check says it can lower audio quality. Should I use this feature on the microphone? Does anyone else with success?
