This is one of the best OSTs in recent years, imo. And very underrated. Also, the scenes were so well put in the video. Didnt give away any suspense, yet had me intrigued and watching it on loop to see which scenes were yet to come. Pity that the play nosedived towards the end due to pathetic script, but the performances were so good and the play as a whole was very well directed too. Also, hands down one of Yumna's best styled character.

Zanjeerain, i believe has brought in new fans of Sajal in this sub. So, here's a must watch. This one is criminally underrated, but one of the best written ptv plays that resonates with the existing patriarchy in the society and complexities it arises within a family. The relationship dynamics between a father, mother and daughter at the backdrop of deeply rooted misogyny is shown without any filter. And the actors are so so good in this.

The south asian audience know how to appreciate emotional breakdown scenes, confrontation scenes. So, we will see Sajal's such scenes from YKS, O Rangreza, Alif go viral and attract people's attention. Its the same with other actors too. Maybe we feel that acting in other normal scenes is easy. But, you will listen to great actors saying that the scenes that look the simplest are often the hardest.

I have been watching this scene and also the scene where Rabiya is looking at Sarbuland as he enters the dhaba, thinking its her imagination... until the moment she realizes that its him. In this scene, the way she is looking at Sar Buland with a mix of shyness and excitement and lots and lots of longing. Also, another scene from Zanjeerain where she is listening to Bano recall childhood incidents of Mudassir, when he visited haveli. Her expressions were so old school and could tell the joy she felt on getting to know more of Mudassir and the want to know more and stay connected with him. Gosh, she is simply brilliant.

Its a tragedy that there are only limited stories being explored in PTV. They are wasting a generational talent.

A play with many flaws. But it had one good thing going in it and that was Sarbiya track. Never rushed, it progressed at its own pace. Though, the last 2 episodes could (actually should) have been stretched to 4 episodes. But, Sarbiya were characters right out of some ansgty romance novel. Sarbiya were poetic. Will miss them. Wednesdays and Thursdays will feel empty without them. 🥹🥹🥹

And will miss the feeling of opening reddit to discuss its new episodes. That was fun too.

People questioned Danyal's popularity, terming it pr and what not, but the initial views in the first episode of his new play is proof enough of the organic hype he has right now. While the faith of the play will depend on various factors, he indeed pulled in those views. Great for Danny boi!

These two are fire together. Specially in well written and executed scenes, one can't stop but .admire them. Hands down, one of Sajal's best pairings. And that is something, because she was many, which leads to fan war whenever someone attempts to rank one over the other.

They are soft, warm, hot, cute... all at the same time. And this whole scene has my heart. I had to take some moment to decide on which scene to post and decided with this one.

I cant keep calm!!!!

The episode started with an awkward walk. Beautifully directed and acted. The slow steps, Rabiya pausing before entering the room, SB gesturing her to enter the room and that pause before he entered the room. Could feel the awkwardness of the moment through the screen. SB tried to lighten up things between them. And yes SB, Rabiya set the benchmark really high with her hospitality in her room, so you need to up your game.

SB cant and dont want to mask his feelings in front of Rabiya. Since, Rabiya isn't saying a thing, he is the one speaking and trying to make things as normal as possible, given the absurdity all around. I felt that there were a bit more English dialogues of SB than usual. Could have toned it down. However, SB trying to normalise things with Rabiya and get used to the new normal was cute. I wonder, when will Rabiya speak. She seems to be in shock with whatever is happening and is trying to make sense of it all.

The OST placement after SB left the room was beautiful. The sadness, the realization of the situation that they are in was aptly expressed by Sajal and Danyal. Meanwhile, Shireen is Shireening. She is so much fun to watch on screen. And, morning sickness has kicked in. Jr. Sohrab or Jr. Shireen is on their way?

Zafran-Sohrab alliance is happening, since Torsam is now useless to Zafran. And then we got awkward bedroom scene with SB barging in the room unannounced. And that eye contact between SB-Rabiya during the Walima talk was uhmm... idk what to say! awkward, uncomfortable...

Sohrab is going mental atp, has lost his cool. And, maybe Rabiya knows that Shireen is pregnant. I have this theory that Shireen will confide in Rabiya, now that Sohrab betrayed Shireen. And that's how Rabiya will know of Bano's murder maybe. Anayah and Reza were excellent in that scene by the river.

Sb was on phone with his right hand man maybe? So, we will het him questioning Zumurd next week maybe? And, I hope Torsam comes to know of Rabiya being his bhabhi soon now. Also, intrigued to see how SB and Rabiya erase all the awkwardness between them post their "on paper nikkah" 😛.

Turns out Sajal funded this editorial herself (refer to 2nd slide). When an editorial is self-funded, the actors take complete creative freedom, making it like a personal passion project for them. Also, it helps them break a public image that brands and shows have created of them, by showing them in a never seen avatar.

And this worked for Sajal i guess. I dont think many of us could imagine her pulling off such edgy looks and neither could brands. While reviewing Sajal's attire for the Armani event, Amna went on like the fit was good, sajal was looking nice, but it didnt feel like Sajal and that Sajal had a very "good daughter" image and that traditional eastern fits are more of her thing. This doesnt just happen with Sajal but with many other actors, whenever they try something different. Such editorials seems to be a way for actors to take charge of their own image and show what they are capable of. And kudos to the entire team, cause this one was really good. So, looking forward to many more creative editorials of ptv stars in the future. 💃

Ohh my my! Fair to say, some of us didn't expect SB and Rabiya to be caught this soon. And too in such a manner. Oh lord, Sohrab bro, you literally k word Bano, and you are now saying Bano ki rooh bohot dukhi hogi? But, what an entertaining scene. Reza is so good as Sohrab. Poor Bibijaan is in shock and lowkey, I couldn't help but laugh at the way Rabiya and SB were caught while Rabiya was serving SB haldi milk. May I say, that is a foreshadowing to Rabiya-SB's future marriage? Peak detailing by Shahzad Kashmiri and FI.

Zanjeerain serves so hard with episodes like this. The fast paced ones. We got Jirga today. Gotta appreciate, Danyal Boy's urdu! His dialogues in Jirga scene were so well delivered and also he acted well. Sohrab-SB Jirga scenes were fire! Sohrab is so vile for insinuating that Sb and Rabiya might have conspired Muddasir's death. And, obv Sohrab put forward Sherbano's suicide narrative.

So, FI is back with her marriage of convenience trope. Until yesterday, I was like i don't need this trope. But, I flipped so bad today, cause please, have them in Nikkah now. And Rabiya-Shireen scenes are so fire. Absolutely love dramatic scenes between Anayah and Sajal. Give Anayah good roles (@/producers). She is a star! Sajal and Anayah were fire in this scene!!

Sar Buland told Rabiya of Jirga's nikkah decision for them. so, have not watched the teaser for next week episodes.. unless that gives some hints, what do you guys think? will SB-Rabiya agree to Nikkah? And just so if it wasnt clear already, absolutely loveddd today's episode. Please ignore any typos or error.

I have found new respect for all the kaleshi phuppos in my life. Cause they all are way better than Jazzy phuppo. The part I cut from the clip is him singing kuch khas hain song for Namurre. Yeah yeah, ya'all are welcome! I know many Zanjeerain fans like the high octane Sarbiya scenes, like car chase, the water tank rescue scnene, surgery scenes. But, soft scenes like these have my heart. Actors really win when they can make such normal conversations give all kind of feels to the audience and Sajal and Danyal are doing that. They are complementing each other so well. And even little and mundane topic of conversation felt wholesome, unlike the recipe breakdown session Rabiya and Muddasir had. Zanjeerain hasnt been smooth, but FI has shown her brilliance at times in moments like these.
