Hi! I’m in a bit of a reading slump and I need some recs. I love reading series rather than stand alone books. I like a lot of spice but also a good plot/romance. I do not like super dark books but I’m okay with some BDSM. Some of my favorite series are:

I just finished all of the Nashville Neighborhood Series by Nikki Sloane and LOVED IT. I am looking for some recommendations similar to it. I love all the spice and also the romance/plot. Some other series I’ve loved is:
-The Blindfold Club by Nikki Sloane
-The Salacious Players Club by Sara Cate
-The Irresistible Series by Stella Rhys
I am going to try to not go too into detail because A. we are all going through shit and B. It would take too long. But essentially the past 3-4 years of my life have been utter madness. My dad had a stroke, my parents got divorced, said goodbye to my childhood home, my dad got diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer’s, my brother got run over by a car. As for me, I have been in school for the last 7 years straight (undergrad and masters) and finally graduated in June. I took a job at where I interned and clearly missed a lot of red flags. And now im stuck (for now while I try to figure it out) and have zero dollars to my name and a ton of debt. I know some of this is part of life, some things are my fault, some things are out of my control but like seriously what the f is going on. My anxiety and ocd makes me think that I have bad luck and then I spiral really bad. I have been seeing the same therapist for over 10 years and I adore her and am so grateful to her but it’s like just so repetitive with all my bs going on.

I just started my job (just graduated) at a PP. The first pay check I got was extremely small (a whole other issue) because they don’t pay me until they get paid from insurance. And I get paid monthly. So anyway I’m broke and can’t even pay my rent. I have to do an ethics and a HIPPA training that cost in total close to $100. I can’t pay for it right now. I might get reimbursed (TBD) but I can’t even front the money. It’s due August 1st and I’m not sure how to go about it.

I am currently having a mid life crisis at 25 because I just found out what an estimate of my first paycheck will be. I just graduated at June and started working the Monday after I graduated. I took a job at a group practice (my internship site). I get paid monthly and have about 14ish clients right now but gotta get up to 25-30 Per week. Because I started officially working after I graduated my paycheck is only about 2 weeks of work which was 17 clients. My estimate is around $70. I guess due to insurance claims not being processed and whatever. They told me it would be bad but this laughable. I dont get paid again until mid August. I can’t pay my rent. I can’t pay to apply for my license. I’ve been babysitting and instacarting when I have time but it’s nowhere near enough. All of my graduation money went to my rent for July. I know I just started. I know there’s risks with a group practice but i genuinely thought this would be a little more financially stable since i already had established clients. Boy was i wrong. I don’t know what to do and I feel like I’m genuinely going crazy.
Hi, so I was supposed to get my new license plate sticker by today but I didn’t. I’ve been having a rough time financially and didn’t properly plan for it. I know it’s not that expensive but ir is for me right now. I also am due for an emissions test as well. I’m planning on trying to do it in the next couple of weeks and get my new sticker. How much should I expect to pay in late fees and will I get pulled over?
I am a new shopper in the Chicago area. I just did a grocery delivery to a condo. There was no parking so I had to put my hazards on in front of a fire hydrant. I messaged the customer explaining and asked if they could meet me in the lobby. To be clear there was no delivery instructions from the customer. They didn’t respond. So I syart bringing it into the lobby and put it on a bench. Thete was a front desk but nobody was there so I couldn’t get up. I called the customer and explained this and they seemed unsure (so maybe they were just a guest or something). They said it was fine to leave in the lobby so I did and made my way back to my car. Then some sort of condo worker starta following me and shouting. I didn’t even think they were talking to me but they came up to my car. I rolled down my window and was like hey what’s up. He is like ”why did you leave groceries in my lobby blah blah” and I explained I was an instacart delivery driver and the customer said to do so. The worker asked me to confirm the address which I did and asked for the customer’s name because he didn’t think i was delivering it in the right spot. And then he started getting very angry about me leaving it on the bench. I apologized and I was like I don’t know what to tell you. And he just kept going and I was like alright I’m done and drove away. I don’t know if this was my fault or if I should’ve done something different? It made me very uncomfortable and stressed though.

I was like -200 yesterday (I know it’s bad, times are tough). I checked my account today and there was a 300 ”overdraft refund” from Chase posted. I hit my max of courtesy overdraft fee refunds for the year. I also hadn’t received an overdraft fees for this -200 balance yet. And to be clear I didn’t request any sort of refund. I am so relieved but scared it’ll be reversed? Does anyone know why this happened?
I just graduated from my masters program and passed the NCE. Now I’m awaiting to apply for my associate license (it’s an LPC in Illinois). I took a job at my internship which is a group practice. I am terrified of my finances and I don’t know what to do. I’m W2 and getting 40%. Right now I only have about 8-10 clients per week but I gotta get up to 25-30 for full-time. It’s a struggle because it’s summer and I’m still only able to be on one insurance panel for now. I also only get paid monthly (so all my graduation gift money is going towards rent lol). AND I have about an hour commute (which I know is normal for some people but gas is insane). I feel like I need to find something more sustainable. I feel really guilty about potentially leaving. I know I just started getting actually “paid” but I’m scared. I am open to working in any setting really, I just am overwhelmed right now.

There is a small crack on the bottom of the screen (like the black part), I think it’s called a bezel? Anyway I noted that it was in “fair condition” which i think is accurate. They originally offered me $70 for it which I thought was fine. Now they are trying to only give me $20 for it. I think this is absurd for a $1,000 laptop with an extremely small crack that isn’t even on the screen. I requested for them to reinspect but I don’t have high hopes. Is there anyway to fight this because I’m pissed?

Hi please no judgment this is an emergency. I signed up for flex and was approved. My apartment used rent cafe but when go to add the flex bank in my portal, there’s no option. I tried a couple other apps but wasn’t approved. Is there anyway around this flex error? Or are there any rent split apps that just deposit the money in your personal bank account?
I need $600 for my rent due July 1st. I’ve been in a tough spot. I just graduated from my masters program and have started my full-time job this week. However, I don’t get paid until July 15th and the first couple paychecks won’t be great. I’ve been doing side gigs when I can but it’s just not enough. I am not sure what to do.
I have chase and I’ve been really struggling the past couple of months financially. I have used my limit for overdraft fee refunds. The past couple weeks ive had so many fees that I literally cannot pay my rent. I have tried calling them to ask for an exception and they keep saying they can’t even when I talked to someone higher up. I’m desperate at this point and I don’t know what to do. In the past they have made more exceptions for me with refunds and I told them that but they didn’t care. I literally will never use overdraft again after this but have to get these fees refunded. Does anyone have any advice?
I’m graduating from my masters program in a couple weeks… and I’m drowning. I begin working full-time right after I graduate but I am in such a hole that I don’t know what to do. I nanny part-time, babysit, do dd and uber eats when I can. I have sold clothes on Depop… I don’t know what else to do. Any ideas or words of wisdom?

So I have been in therapy for about 10 years with the same therapist. She has helped me through so much and continues to do so. I dont intend on stopping with her anytime soon. However, I am beginning to realize I have a lot of unresolved trauma. While my therapist has helped me with this, it isn’t necessarily our focus. We mostly discuss life stressors and anxiety. I have been thinking about seeing an EMDR and IFS Trauma therapist to help explore some of these trauma issues further. i Want to see both therapists at the same time but is that’s even allowed? I also would feel really guilty telling my therapist that i wanted to also see someone else.
I just finished the entire Irresistible Series by Stella Rhys and ughhh I am so sad. I need some recs similar. I love the steam and the romance! I like definitely a good amount of steam but I like having a good story. I felt like her series checked all of the boxes. Any recs?
