[Request] Channels that explain things in a whisper?

I don't really know how to be more specific. If there's a name for it I'd love to know. My favorite vidoes are when someone calmly explains whatever topic. Genuinely any topic. They could whisper about their PhD thesis for seven hours and I'd be reduced to specks of relaxation scattered in the wind. Some of my favorites are Gentlewhispering's ASMR-making tips, for example, but most of the ones I've seen have been one-offs from channels that mostly do other types of videos. I know unintentional ASMR has a lot of this, but I prefer intentional so there aren't random bg noises, plus occasional tapping or other triggers are nice.

Does anyone have suggestions for ASMRtists that do this regularly? Or even one-offs I might not have seen. Idk how to search because I don't have specifics in mind. Maybe if I find a few more, my algorithm can figure it out, lol.

Sometimes going to the aquarium humbles me

As bad as a lot of things about being human are, I'm glad the fluid I live in is one I can breathe. I know seals and such can hold their breath for longer, but god damn, imagine having to constantly plan when to physically go somewhere else to take your next breath on top of everything else in life. Not being able to breathe while sleeping is a disorder for us but it's reality for a manatee. Makes you think.

Anywhere to get cachucha or habanada peppers?

Niche grocery stores or farmers markets or something? I'm willing to make a longer drive for these. I just don't know anywhere that has them.

When people describe something they do because they're dumb and then whip out the royal "we"

Who is "we"? You do that. I don't do that. Speak for yourself and stop embarrassing "us".

Allot

As in "I have allot of potatoes/socks/rage". Why have I seen this three times in the last week? "Alot" is bad enough. Where did the extra L come from?? I hadn't seen "allot" misused this way until recently. This makes me feel like it's a new thing and spreading for some reason. Can we all nip this in the butt before it becomes the next lose vs loose/a women/plural's? I don't want to see it everywhere... not another one.

IPL one-zap toe results 🤯

I can't tell anyone irl about this without looking weird, so I'm telling y'all. I have a Braun IPL that I've been using on my face for five weeks with maybe some results so far (I know it takes 12+, so not saying anything about anything here).

But! I did my left toes ONCE on the extra-gentle setting on the first week (five weeks ago), and I have not grown ANY hair there since. Actually wild. It's such a small spot, as I'm no hobbit, but I'm really happy! Fingers crossed I get similar results on my face.

FAQ:

Why only one foot? Dunno. I regret this now.

Why only once? Using the zapper kind of freaks me out tbh and I wanted to see if it would actually work on my face before committing to any other spots.

What will you do if these excellent results are a fluke and you still have hairy toes on only one foot forever? Dunno...

Zois trying to go home CONSTANTLY, is this a bug?

I don't know whether to report this as a bug, since there are some other things they still do with autonomy turned off. This is really annoying, though, and I hope it gets fixed/improved, bug or not.

My Zois seemingly can't just spend a day or even an afternoon away from their house. Even if they're not in a bad mood and it's the middle of the day, they default to going home after almost every activity. It would at least make sense if it was because they were miserable or it's the middle of the night, but even then, autonomy is off because I want to decide what they do.

Just one example: I have two who own a coffee shop together that closes at 2pm. End of work day, both are suddenly going home. Nope, cancel that, you're going to the beach. Tan for however long - time to go home! Nope, cancel it again. I send one to the beach club to dance and have the other go fishing. I watch the one who's fishing for a couple minutes and the other one is halfway home!! Redirect him, wait for him to walk aaallllllllll the way back to the beach, and... the other one is on the way home!!! It's like 6pm in-game at this point and their needs and mood are fine.

I just closed the game after that because what kind of life sim takes place 90% at home? This also happens when they tried to have a spa day or go to the market or wander around town or go out for dinner and a movie or meet another Zoi (Conversation over? Better run home! Dinner? What dinner?) etc etc etc. I'm always corralling them because they are constantly trying to leave only to just stand around at home.

I'm so tired of constantly canceling that action and waiting for them to walk back to where I want them to be. Even when I catch it right away, it interrupts the flow of the game.

Is everyone's game like this? If so, why?? I have autonomy fully turned off for my played Zois. I don't ever want them to decide to go home on their own!

Some things to like that I haven't seen mentioned very much

I've "only" been playing for three hours, but I've already noticed some things I think are going to make the game more interesting than other life sims.

• Paras actually have different mechanics depending on their traits, i.e. having a bigger hunger bar or an energy surplus. And they react to things like the energy surplus being full.

• The passive careers are more interesting with the upgrade perks system. Like one of mine plays guitar in the breakroom so he increases his guitar skill at work, but there were other perks I could've given him, so it was like a personality choice. I like the ability to affect their workday with choices like that instead of them just disappearing for half the day and reappearing with money.

• I like that I can choose their wants depending on what they're feeling, so they're not just randomly wanting things I consider out of character, but the wants still come from the "story" I'm playing through.

• I've seen some complaints about it, but the conversation cards actually give the conversations a more natural feel to me, like they're developing on their own instead of me just telling the Paras what to say. I do think there could be a compromise with certain actions you can take without waiting for a card so you can have more control, but I like this system for choosing what they talk about based on context (what they're feeling, what they've already said, their traits). I like that I'm guiding them more than controlling them.

• I like that the relationship development isn't just spamming actions to fill relationship bars. Plus, it seems like this system is a priority for improvement, so I'm excited to see how it's going to work.

• Edit: One that I forgot. Related skills! I like that, for example, cooking increases their cooking skill but also their knowledge of food.

Overall, if updates continue with things like these, I think this game is going to be more engaging as a life sim than others that are more like virtual dollhouses. A lot of people like that, but I personally want a balance of the game simulating and me guiding it.

(Plus, the Paramaker is FANTASTIC. I just had to say it. It's so easy to get the faces how I want, which was an issue I had with other games. The Paras look great.)

Also, "boring" things I REALLY appreciate:

• When I queue a series of actions, the Paras do those actions and in that order before doing anything else, even with autonomy on. No checking back on one to find they randomly skipped the shower I told them to take for no reason and have instead decided to stinkily admire a painting instead of going to work.

• THANK GOD/DEVS, the time it takes to fulfill needs actually makes sense.
