Anyone else getting redirected to a new website?

Is anyone else getting pushed to a Kimi.ai website instead of Kimi.com? Or am I hacked?

How has AI changed how you work?

I'm going to be honest, when I first started using AI, I felt like I was going to accelerate my personal current workflow. But it turns out it's a lot better at some things than others. So it's more like it gave me new superpowers. And I'm relearning and reprioritizing my life around those.

For example, making a simple program is now a trivial task that doesn't require too much long-term maintenance. And that opens up a huge realm of possibilities that I never thought of before.

How about in your case?

By the way, I'm a mod here and just wanted to say we have an AI community discord. The point of the discord is we're trying to solve for the journey and not just one individual question. There's just things you'll get on the discord that you won't get on Reddit like being able to screen share as you work and get tips as you go through the journey of learning AI. Check the comment below this message if you want to be part of it.

What's the one thing you'd tell someone new to AI to save them frustration?

If there was just one thing you could share to someone who is just learning AI chatbots to save them frustration, what would it be?

Have you ever made money using AI?

Have you ever made money using AI? If so how?

Not to be that "AI make me 1 million make no mistakes" guy, just trying to make a real genuine discussion in the community here as a moderator.

What happened to the competition?

Haven't heard anything about the competition, the winners or anything yet. Anyone heard anything?

[Mod post] We are having a show-and-tell for AI usecases this weekend and your welcome to come.

We are having a show and tell for AI use cases in the discord for this subreddit. You're welcome to jump in, ask your questions.

I know posts like this typically don't get a lot of support since they are not content in themselves but a lot of people have put in a lot of work to make an event for everyone here and we'd really enjoy it if you come: https://discord.gg/33kJ3JSgGv

- 5:00 PM Eastern / 4:00 PM Central / 2:00 PM Pacific

Check the post which auto-appears below; you are welcome to come.

Anyone else feel like "agentic AI" can be really overwhelming to learn? [Mod approved]

Sometimes I'll be listening to a tutorial and there'll be something mentioned which leads to a whole rabbit hole of things I misunderstood before I can get to the next step. My biggest fails were:

  • It took me weeks to realize I was actually mistaking skills for SOPs.
  • I got toasted buying a MAC I did not need for $$$$ that ended up being a lemon/scam.

Having come through a seemly long and painful journey with this stuff, I made a Discord, and the mods here approved that I share it with you: https://discord.gg/33kJ3JSgGv The goal is to solve for the journey rather than just an individual questions we have.

We are having a show-and-tell for AI usecases this weekend and your welcome to come. Saturday 5:00 PM Eastern / 4:00 PM Central / 2:00 PM Pacific.

Which single skill has been the biggest game changer for you?

If you were to choose only one skill of all the skills you've used with AI, which single skill has changed the game for you the most?

I skills for:

- Shopping - Find the cheapest price for anything. Save money.
- Deep research - Discover the latest knowledge in a particular field. What a meta analysis of the scientific papers and key authors say.
- Audiobook creation - Have your AI teach you everything you need to know about your life and your work according to your interests automatically.
- Website creation - Use the power of AI to create 15 versions of every possible web page so that you can bring together a design from a point of view that truly understands all the possibilities.
- Negotiation - Win any negotiation with the ultimate template from the world's best negotiators (ill add this soon).
- Marketing - I gained 20,000 followers in a day using it, but I'm not sure I can share this one yet.

I have listed all my skills in our Discord for this group.

Share your setup. What are you rocking? Claude Code? Codex? Hermes? Open Claw?

I have a separate PC which I Parsec into, which has two installations of Hermes running on Ollama cloud, together with Claude code. I run it through Telegram as well. GBrain (Gary tan) serves as one unified memory for all my AI projects.

How about you?

[Mod Post] Community Game Dev Event Tomorrow

As the new moderators of this subreddit, we've created a Discord community by which we can get to know each other deeper.

To kick things off we are starting with an AI game dev event in which the guy behind the infrastructure of Knights of the Old Republic teaches us how to make amazing games using AI.

To join:

  1. Visit https://discord.gg/z3EMVruQhm
  2. See the event tab
  3. Click Interested & join at the time listed

Good to know:

  1. The time on event panel auto-translates into your own timezone
  2. Onboarding on the Discord is not required, but if you choose to onboard, start by clicking the Continue button under #why-join.
Be aware that the onboarding process is deliberately designed to filter for intentional people to avoid less intentional community members.

The Discord is about leaving behind a trail of breadcrumbs as we learn how to use AI so others can follow us.

I've uploaded the skills I've written there for you to enjoy.

How are you solving the problem where Claude assumes it's done?

How are you solving the problem where Claude says it got the job done but no real progress has been made?

Telling it to test the product live doesn't seem to help. It just seems to assume it's done.
