Caught the same fish as my wife 2 days later

TL;DR wife caught fish Sunday, I caught same fish on Tuesday determined by stuck hook.

Wife caught this dink on Sunday after uttering the infamous phrase “this is my last cast.” It was her first time really fishing so the fish gods were listening.

I went out after work Tuesday to another part of the lake and caught the same bass, with the hook stuck that we couldn’t get out Sunday(was able to remove it this time)

I’ve seen people have this happen years later or months later but couldn’t believe it was only about 48 hours apart 🤣 wife and other family are not as impressed as I am though so I thought I’d share

Good start to the weekend on the neighborhood lake

Had a few dinks in between but landed some of the biggest bass I’ve caught out of this lake so far

Should I let the neighborhood kids in on the secret?

I only got back into fishing 3-4 wks ago and have been playing around with a few different things.

Found one side of the lake where the bass are at and they’re devouring weightless Texas rig 4in senkos…

I watch kids out there all week with spinners, poppers, cranks, etc and hardly ever see them land anything. Should I steer them in the right direction or just keep it to myself?

Edit: the secret isn’t necessarily the spot, they already fish that when they rotate around the lake. The real secret is going to this lure setup, which none of them seem to have tried too much yet

Recommendations for Hi Vis braided line?

Title pretty much says it all, looking for recs on hi vis 15-20lb braided line. Currently running moss green for most of my setups but would be nice to be able to see my line on something new I’m putting together.

Sometimes a small change makes a big difference..

Was running a 1/8oz weighted Texas rig with a 5in senko without much luck the last week or so on the neighborhood lake.. decided to switch to a weightless 4in senko and couldn’t keep them off my the hook this morning.

Not the biggest fish but a great way to get the confidence up since I’m just getting back into it after 20 years

Found my old Abu Garcia combo from ~2005 in my grandparents garage, it’s still in great shape since I didn’t use it much. Any recs on how to get this reel cleaned up and in use again? Just got back into fishing the last few weeks after 20 year hiatus

Going for bass. Thinking 7’ MH Fast as per most people’s recs. $150 budget if it’s really worth it, otherwise would like to stay under $100 for right now.

Got our first quote from Cabinet Joint(which is supposed to be a budget friendly alternative to traditional cabinet makers) and it is minimum $35k more expensive than any other quote we’ve gotten so far…

Am I missing something?

Leading quote is from Integrity at $56k for stained white oak with all bells and whistles, delivered, and installed

Cabinet joint was $66k (JUST FOR THE RTA CABINETS), $13k for assembly, $4k for taxes, and another $5-6k for install… that’s with no custom inserts or any upgrades.

Anyone else experience this working this them? Our biggest concern was lead times and the fact we have not found a stain we like, so the custom stain option from cabinet joint was looking quite nice.

We really like Arga Dekton for basically the entire home. All counters and even shower walls.. but I have a lot of concerns about the chipping issues. We started on Taj Mahal quartzite, should we revisit that? This is our forever home and we want quality, longevity, durability.

Open to suggestions for other materials as well with similar color patterns.
