I found an entire meat stick hidden in Roscoe’s bed this afternoon

Other things I have found hidden in his bed or in the bean bag chair include bones, sweet potato treats from an entire bag he pilfered off the counter and couldn’t finish, ketchup packets, and Parmesan packets. Never a dull moment in this house.

I think I just received my first gift!

I live in a fourplex so I don’t have my own yard, but I do have a nice balcony. I’ve started feeding the crows unsalted peanuts while walking my dog until I was able to lead them back to my place, so they know where I live now. Sometimes in the morning they perch on the fence across the driveway and caw for me to come out and give them treats. I also gave them a cooked egg once, which they loved.

I’ve been seeing shiny bits of trash (squished bottle caps, etc.) along the fence line and just thought it was a careless neighbor littering, which is odd to me because all of my neighbors are great. Today I fed the crows on my walk and when I came back this silly little goose caught my eye along the same fence line. I’d like to think they brought it just for me. 😊

Remember toe socks?

Did anyone else have toe socks?

I had a pair as a tween that I thought were goofy so I wore them around, mostly at home. Like many families, my family does this thing where once you show an interest in something they would gift way too much of it for every birthday or holiday. Suddenly I found myself with about twelve pairs of toe socks.

They weren’t even comfortable. My toes prefer each others’ company!

Seeking dentist recommendations for chipped tooth fix, husband is uninsured

My husband chipped a tooth while working on his car last night. He is uninsured at the moment. Anyone have any affordable but good dentist recommendations to get it fixed?

He is also a veteran. I know in Santa Clara they have a program for free or discounted dental for city residents, but we are technically in Campbell.

Any leads are appreciated! Thanks.

Refocusing during practice

I am fairly new (3ish) months to practicing yoga. I go to a variety of classes about 3x/week at a studio near my office.

I have a question for the more experienced yogis here. How do you refocus when you feel your mind wandering more than usual during class?

Every once in a while I’ll have a day where my mind wanders, whether it be to something outside of the room like a problem at work, or something inside the room like not loving the instructor, or even internal like having heartburn/indigestion that day.

Any tips for bringing my focus back to my movement, breath, and a still mind?

Found in my car after the car wash.

This was in my cup holder after the car wash. I’m guessing someone was vacuuming and found it underneath the seats. What is it?

Eyeshadow blending tips?

Here’s a cool-toned look I was trying out yesterday for an evening out with this girlies.

My eyes are semi hooded. Pretty often, I’ll think they’re nice and blended and then later on realize I could have done a better job. I use a nice fluffy brush on them but can never seem to get them really smooth. I do have urban decay eyeshadow primer but don’t always use it (as in these photos) Any tips? Other constructive criticism welcome, too.

A couple of quick notes: I swear my eyebrows are not on different latitudes. For some reason every time I take a photo I have a tendency to involuntarily lift my right eyebrow. It drives me nuts lol. Also I am still healing a mole removal on the left side of my face and I can’t put makeup on it yet.

Products:
Natasha Denona Mini Xenon Eyeshadow Palette
Tower28 mascara
Benefit precisely my brow pencil
Benefit clear eyebrow gel
Milk hydrogrip primer
NARS radiant creamy concealer
Laura Mercier translucent loose setting powder
Milk cream blush
Milk cream bronzer
Cherry chapstick
Revlon lipstick in mauvy night
Urban decay all nighter setting spray

Does your partner snore? What do you do when they snore?

My husband usually snores a little. But once in a while this man starts sawing logs right in my ear before I get the chance to fall asleep. He is also a cuddle monster. Sometimes I’m able to get him to roll over but other times there is no escaping it. I feel bad shoving him or waking him up just to tell him he’s bothering me, and even if I do he just makes sad sleepy sounds and falls back asleep immediately.

Now I’m relaxing on the couch before giving a good night’s sleep a go again. Whenever I do this, he is always so sad and pouty the next morning.

So, friends, what are some of your go-to moves when your partner reaches maximum snore volume?
