EA-6A Intruder Cold War Restoration [OC] Part 7

Here’s Part  7 of my Cold War aviation restoration project — the A‑6 Intruder.
For me, studying this aircraft feels different. Its wide wings and advanced design were not just about missions — they became a foundation that later helped shape the legendary F‑14 Tomcat.

This restoration was special: I wanted to capture both the Intruder’s rugged, mission‑ready look and the sense of innovation it carried. The first slide shows my restored version, the second one is the original.
Feedback means a lot on this one!

Su‑15 Flagon Cold War Restoration [OC] Part 6

Here’s Part 6 of my Cold War aviation restoration project — the Su‑15 Flagon, a Soviet interceptor known for its distinctive long fuselage and sharp delta wings.

For this piece, I focused on enhancing the metallic tones and atmospheric depth to emphasize the aircraft’s altitude and speed. The restored version highlights the jet’s clean aerodynamic lines and its Cold War character — sleek, fast, and unmistakably Soviet.

The first slide shows my restored version, and the second one is the original.

My Star Wars Poster Collection — X‑Wing, Falcon, R2‑D2

Hi everyone,
Over the past few weeks I’ve been working on a small set of Star Wars posters. I wanted to explore a cleaner, museum‑style look — simple layouts with some details, not classic fan art.

So far the collection includes:

  • X‑Wing T‑65B
  • Millennium Falcon YT‑1300
  • R2‑D2

It’s just a personal project I’ve been experimenting with, and I’d love to hear what you think about the style.

Northrop F‑5E Tiger II Cold War Restoration [OC] Part 5

Here’s Part 5 of my Cold War aviation restoration project — the agile Northrop F‑5E Tiger II, one of the most recognizable lightweight fighters of its era.
For this piece, I focused on enhancing the motion blur and atmospheric depth to give the jet a stronger sense of speed and altitude. The metallic finish was refined to highlight the aircraft’s clean aerodynamic lines and its distinctive Cold War aesthetic.

The first slide shows my restored version, and the second one is the original.

Looking for feedback on my Etsy shop — is my brand direction solid?

Hey Etsy community!
I’ve been working on my shop, focused on technical poster design. I’m trying to understand how strong the concept feels overall — both visually and strategically.

I’d really appreciate feedback on:

  • Brand identity and consistency across listings
  • Visual style and description tone
  • Whether the niche (technical art) feels appealing or too narrow

Here’s my shop if you’d like to take a look: thechartprint.etsy.com
Any thoughts or critique would mean a lot — I’m testing how viable this brand direction really is.

Grumman F‑14 Tomcat Cold War restoration [OC] Part 4.

Here is Part 4 of my Cold War aviation restoration project — the legendary Grumman F‑14 Tomcat, one of the most iconic carrier‑based fighters in history. For this piece, I focused on enhancing the depth of the sky, sharpening the metallic texture of the fuselage, and giving the jet a more dynamic, powerful presence compared to the original photo.

The first slide is my restored version, and the second one is the original.

Feedback is highly welcome!

Sputnik 1 in low Earth orbit. Space restoration, Part 3 [OC]

For Part 3 of my Space Restoration series, I recreated the legendary Sputnik 1.

My main goal was to accurately capture how it actually looked in real life while in orbit.

How accurately do you think I managed to recreate its real-life appearance? Feedback is welcome!

Lockheed A-12 Archangel Cold War restoration, Part 3.

Here is Part 3 of my Cold War aviation restoration project — the legendary Lockheed A-12 Archangel, the precursor to the SR-71 Blackbird. For this piece, I wanted to enhance the overall depth of the image, bring out the rich, clean dark metallic texture of the fuselage, and give the clouds a more voluminous, realistic look compared to the original photo.

The first slide is my restored version, and the second one is the original.

Feedback is highly welcome!

The dawn of the Nuclear Age: A tactical visual breakdown of the "Trinity" test (Manhattan Project, 1945). [OC]

July 16, 1945. The dawn of the Nuclear Age. Deep in the New Mexico desert, the Manhattan Project culminated in the "Trinity" test. The "Gadget"—a complex plutonium implosion device—was detonated atop a 100-foot steel tower. The blast released 21 kilotons of TNT equivalent energy, changing military technology and global geopolitics forever. This is a technical documentary breakdown and visual chronicle of the world's very first nuclear detonation. Unclassified data.

Giving this vintage F-104 Starfighter a fresh, dramatic background. Cold War restoration, Part 2.

Hi everyone! Thanks for the awesome support on my previous post.

Here is Part 2 of my Cold War aviation restoration project — the legendary Lockheed F-104 Starfighter. I wanted to move it from the dull desert background into a much more dramatic, mountainous environment while sharpening the aircraft details and metallic texture.

My infographic poster for Vostok 1.

Hey! Designed this in Photoshop. Combined technical specs, blueprint and archive photos into a strict grid layout. Also spent time restoring the capsule-in-space image to make it sharp. Feedback on typography and spacing is welcome!

Finally framed my new SR-71 Blackbird poster. Absolutely in love with how it turned out!

For me, the SR-71 is the ultimate masterpiece of aviation engineering. What’s your favorite fact or story about the Blackbird?

Hi all! My hobby is restoring Cold War aviation photography. What does Reddit’s aviation community think?

I've attached two photos below for comparison: the first one is my work, where I placed the A-5A Vigilante into a new, dynamic environment with clean technical markings, and the second one is the original image.

I wanted to capture the authentic spirit of that era but present the aircraft in a fresh, dramatic look. Feedback is welcome!
