Je suis donc guitariste de Metal et passionné par le shred, donc trois erreurs de choix de vies, déjà !

J'aspire donc à être un énorme shreddeur sans âme critiqué par son manque de feeling ☺️

Et pour ce faire, j'aimerais pouvoir faire des arpèges en sweeping. Sauf que... Comme tous shreddeur idiot qui se respecte, je ne connais que les gammes et RIEN D'AUTRE en théorie musicale. Alors euh... Comment qu'on fait ? 🥲

I like Necrofagist, Death, Opeth, Gojira, but also Dio, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, etc. My brother almost exclusively likes Metallica and is very closed-minded. He's not very good (to be fair, he's young and a beginner). We want to make a playlist that's fun to play, not too complicated for him, and that people will enjoy. Does such a thing exist? 🥲

Is there such a thing as a technical Death'N'Roll band? I was wondering what Black Star would sound like with sweeping riffs and a neoclassical solo 🙃✨

I recently switched to Death Tech and I'm a huge fan of Prog Death and, in general, anything heavy and musically interesting. I admit I chuckle a bit when I think back to my favorite bands from not so long ago! Korn, Slipknot, Godsmack... I think I still enjoy Slipknot though. It's like extremely accessible Death Metal. Without any hate or stupid snobbery, what do you really think of these bands? I'm starting to dislike them, and yet I'm really not a snob or a haughty person 😅

Hello! I'm not a big fan of Death Metal in general, but Progressive or Technical Death Metal is quickly becoming my favorite genre! I've definitely noticed and always been intrigued by the bass/drum intros in Atheist, Death, and Control Denied.

For example, there's Mother Man, Consumed, What If...?, and (even though it's not an intro), the bass/drum section after the chorus of Spirit Crusher.

As a musician, bassist, and guitarist, I'd love to be able to compose intros like that; they're fantastic and incredibly creative! Has anyone here analyzed what's going on in these intros and could help me understand them a bit better?
