Contex on Garlic Bread appreciation?

Hi. I've been aware of my asexuality for a while and fully consider myself to be part of this community. Recently a friend of mine has attempted to convince me that I am not, in fact, asexual (kind of thing they do relatively often, last time was trying to prove I was an AI), and whilst most evidence is highly speculative or does not cover all of asexuality, the friend has pointed to my opinions on garlic bread as a point in his argument. I have seen a noticeable appreciation in this sub of the flavoured baked good and whilst I am almost certain of my own sexual orientation I would be very thankful if the whole 'A proportion of asexual people tend to really like garlic bread (apologies if that's stereotyping)' thing and if my general indifference towards it contrasts with some kind of thought patterns that correlate with asexuality? Just thought I'd try to make completely sure. Thanks so much!

My case for the Flying Sigil

I've seen in this reddit. alongside other discussions of thus game, a fair mass of frustration towards the flying sigil at both its apparent lack of use and its high levels of use to Leshy. These two sources of anger are not, I claim, paradoxical, and solving why may shine a light on how one could better use such cards.

First, do allow me to compare a few cards so as to demonstrate the value of this sigil. As shown in the images, this change made to the 1/3 1-blood stoat is made at a cost of one health, the 2/1 4-bone coyote demands no cost for flight, and the 3/3 2-blood amalgamate demands one power to change (although it should be noted that the amalgamate is a rare card, and so slightly more powerful than an ordinary 2-blood). Clearly, healthier creatures better work with flight, but why?

At least to me, flying cards speak of inevitability: unless a mighty leap creature is on hand - a case rare for Leshy and almost never present for ordinary players - you cannot stop a flying card. Thus, anger can be brought about by Leshy's prepared flying cards on his back rank prophesising unavoidable damage lest he is immediately beaten. However, consider now that your first turn is made with no creatures blocking your path (barring boss fights, of course). This means that your creatures attack Leshy directly regardless of sigils, as they do whenever no creatures oppose you. But when they do, and only then, the flying sigil is incurred, and we can further analyse this.

Should you play a flying card to block an enemy without the flying sigil, (and if you do they are essentially on separate permenantly empty lanes,) you deal damage and then take damage from Leshy's cards. However, this damage tends to quickly kill most flying creatures, especially since you're using them to block and so often pick the biggest threat to play ahead of. However, Leshy's cards move and strike after yours, allowing for placement and attack of birds with more ease.

Leshy's infamous raven addiction points back to the matter of health and flight: a flying creature that survives one turn deals double damage in total, and when you have turkey vultures or bats, that's game-changing mathematics. This is when makes the cuckoo's ability to spawn a (usually) 0-power creature incredibly synergetic. Thus, I suggest the investiture of health campfires and stinky sigils to the flying creatures, as to prolong their lifespan. A mere sparrow with this sigil and buffed only three times at health campfires can finish an even game whilst standing down a wolf. When you do play them, choose tankier targets like snapping turtles rather than, say, a rattler.

Ultimately, I conclude the flying sigil to be more useful than is traditionally claimed, and hooe my advice is used well by all. If any information was missed out by me, or you feel a correction must be made, feel free to say. Thank you all for listening to my TED talk.

What do we think these characters' dream jobs would be?

Honestly, I have a hunch Teacher would go crazy with some stand-up comedy stuff. Beau definitely seemed to not enjoy surgery work and our good intern is a bit troubled with his current job so I'd doubt they're ideal positions? Keybug also feels like they'd make a really fun mailbot. Not sure if the sentinels are sentient enough to want jobs, but this question assumes they are. Also I feel like Khan would pretty much certainly not want to be part of defending the Workers if he didn't have to (Note the PTSD).

Ten more seconds of reflection here and we'd have a whole different show playing out.

(Sorry for typos, I need wayyy more sleep.) Seriously though, this does open up a surprisingly viable AU vein. Of course, immediate death of Uzi could be possible (although the mentioning of 'Plot Armour' on N's visor is a curious mention that could skew the fight seriously), but in terms of plot this would be ultimately a bad idea for J due to the Solver present in Uzi, and so a chosen mercy rather than fighting is possible - and I'd like to bring back up J's attempts to de-escalate at the Pilot battle's end, even if her coping strategy of Business Mode did screw her over. If J was the first to find Uzi, however, the whole suggestion of fixing the rocket would go out of the window, as well as any attempts to incite rebellion, but if J was truly swayed to entertaining the notion of Uzi's plan at surface level, N and V would likely follow suit. This would pretty much remove the second episode, wheras the third would be unaltered other than perhaps a quicker co-operation of V, N and Uzi in the Prom Fight. From that point on, however, the original Murder Drones plotline could theoretically be restored as J's Admin was Cyn originally, essentially forcing her down the same path. Uzi's Admin ability demonstrated in episode five's end could be used to regain J's self in theory - and with proper demonstration of Cyn's value might switch sides - but given how close Cyn and J tend to be (closeness is relative, this is of course considering the many dozens of miles apart the drones often are) I'm not sure if Uzi would have a chance. Ultimately this would improve the fight's favour on the side of the Good Guys (TM) but not alter their success in a way I could see woulf drag the story out much further. J's choice to rebuild the ship in Absolute End's credits would either be nonexistent or done with the others' help, but simce this isn't really explored further in canon I can't really make many safe guesses as to what could happen from here. I could see a ridiculous expanse of extra scenes here, possibly more development of J in Home, and all in all this seems like a really promising idea. Feel free to explain how you think this could have gone!

Is it possible to lose one's ability to feel rewarded or proud after creating art pieces and finishing them?

Motivation is ultimately not a problem for me most of the time. I make pencil art mainly but do a little dabbling in various paints and the occasinal digital works. Recently (for about a month), I've noticed a shift in how I feel when completing artworks, more often seeing them as 'done incorrectly', 'not of a high enough quality', or occasionally, 'not me enough'. This was originally nothing big but ultimately I'm starting to see less of a point in making art if I will get nothing out of it. How long do these tend to last, and is there any way to better keep oneself producing artworks during this time?

Since the Swap AU is brewing nicely, I thought I'd throw in some Fell AU art (Nightshaded)

My idea for this would be Cyn transmiting some form of hostility virus to the dissasembley drones as an attempt to have it spread to the workers and better cultivate the Solver within them. As always, any constructive criticism on my style would be greatly appreciated. Hope you enjoy!

What do you think the >!Spolier!< give you for beating their games?

By spoiler I meant scrybes other than Leshy, couldn’t figure out how to block off the words. Sorry.
Since we never actually finish any game other than Leshy’s one, I’m left wondering if PO3 would leave us a reward after he completes the great transcendence, if he didn’t die. This also brings about the question of any gifts recieved for completing the games of Magnificus and Grimora. My current belief is that PO3 believes the game uploading is reward enough and Magnificus might give you a big crystal, but I’m unsure about Grimora. Let me guys know what you think!

How would each character react if you plugged them into the mains?

Building on my previous post. Of course, not just limiting you to the drones I have pictures of. Only real conclusions I have come to so far is that Tessa, the Lord and Lady, Mitchell and Dr Ridley would all feel pain/discomfort and remove the mains connection, but frankly that’s boring. I’d love to see what you all think!

DMs, how do you deal with banning players?

When I say this, I mean the actual logistics of getting them to stop coming. My party has this one guy who genuinely never stops ruining plans the players made, interrupting deep moments, breaking character, breaking rules, breaking meta, and he’s genuinely just here to screw around more than to play DND. I’ve sat him aside many a time to try and get things straight but never once have I seen a change. I set him three strikes and he practically speedran getting himself banned, but the next session he still showed up and will not leave if asked. I ignore him best I can, and the rest of the party try too, but this is honestly ruining the game for me and likely the players. I need some kind of way to actually have the ban work. Any ideas or things I might not have thought of?

PO3 Stoat Art - Patron saint of Oats

Saw these comments (image 2) on my recent post on the names of the talking animals and found it both so insightful and amusingly out-of-pocket that I couldn’t help but draw it out. Not my most careful work, given I did rush it a little, but as my first real Inscryption artwork it feels quite nice. Any constructive criticism or notes on my style would be appreciated!

Say it wasn’t just me… (STOP Hypothesis)

(For all wondering, I’m referring to this as a hypothesis and not a theory due to my lack of evidence at this point. Sorry for any confusion.)

Why is it that only now I see that Leshy has named these three cards with the same first two letters. Honestly, I have little in terms of possible reasons, but one idea that’s been growing on me is that each Scrybe made their own Deathcard (though it’s basically proven false that they didn’t choose their pictures) and each chose a ST name to show the player that they were similar beings and wanted to STop Leshy. Maybe grasping at straws here, but also apparently if you play a combination of daus, rat king and mantis god the cards will also spell out stop - an insect that is stated to be ‘worshipped, in Uberbot form, a ‘vermin‘ containing many within (the zip.file uberbots) and a furry creature that gains its power from spheres. Let me know what you all think!

'It's best for you... even if you hate me for it.'

New bit of pixel art, now of V! Sorry for the wait. Feel free for some constructive criticism as always. Enjoy!

First try at some MD pixel art!

Could never understand what that smudge on the left eye was, a tear or a glitch maybe. This face is from the end of episode eight.

(Honestly just really love the details on the right, somw humans I know could use that advice.)

We know that the brains of Worker drones are purely made of coding, but since Dissasembley drones are made of some human parts I'm wondering if they could possibly contain at least parts of human brains? Just a thought, what with the way that Dissasembley Drones seem able to display emotions faster than Workers (though I'm sure one of you will find proof that's just my confirmation bias). It would certainly be a notable part of Dissasembley anatomy and the possibility of Tessa's mind still existing within N, V or J would, I believe, be gold dust for some fanartists and AU makers.

This is a bit of a long stretch, but bear with me. The first image I've shown is something that's caught my interest since my first rewatch of the series. It shows that N has been programmed to realise if a person is abnormally lucky or likely to succeed, but the words 'plot armor' rather than just a warning-sign eye like J's in episodes 7 and 8 seems an interesting choice. Could Cyn perhaps be aware of the Plot, and so the fact that Murder Drones is a show and all is preordained?

Yeah, you see what I mean by 'long stretch'. Still, there's a few interesting thimgs Cyn says that could relate to us rather than one of the cast. I've chosen mainly episode 2's creepyholocrabsnakething's word choice as examples: Uzi does remember her mother, at least enough to identify her, and knows at least the bare minimum about the solver. On a viewer's first watch, though, they habe not a clue who the hologram is, nor of the identity of Cyn. Instead of showing us what it means, it proceeds to try to get more hosts for extra screen time, assimilating rather than explaning. Additionally, the "if you can read this, you're in range" sign cannot be read from Frank's perspective, but can from ours, suggesting a possible attempt at communication with us, stating that we are within the Solver's range of awareness.

We also see in episode 3's end 'Tessa' bringing J back and consequently keeping people expecting more of J - maintaining their belief. Episode five's mention of having to reset the memories again shows that an N has already died and this N is a replacement, which again she is fine with because if we're here watching a flashback, then other people must be here too.

Honestly, I think I'm more on something than onto something looking back over this, but if anyone has any evidence for or against feel free to share! Thank you for your time.
