Lucifer is a pastel axanthic vpi hes nearly 5 months old and does eat great but today he missed his strike twice. Im hoping hes just a little stupid. Ive had 2 BPs in the past but years ago and one was a spider morph.

Ive had lucifer for about 1 1/2 months and just have a feeling his eye sight isn't perfect. Im heating the rat head up each time to help him but after today's feeding im abit more worried

This is my bioactive ball python enclosure its been just over 7 months in the making with my ball moving in last month. He has eaten full shed and poop.

He now fully explores the whole thing. The plants all seem to be thriving with a couple just in bad areas but still producing new leaves.

My isopods have really taken off and I dont really notice the springtails but im sure there still there.

Custom open top so I can do spot checks and just some gardening

(Temps and humidity are low because ive just added the dracena marginata on the left and had it all opened up)

Hes had his first shed with me with the eye caps on the shed so I know he hasn't got stuck eye caps.

I just keep noticing his eyes seem bulged out to me hes only 4 months old, so could he still be growning into himself?

Also his eyes just look different its been hard to get a good photo of his eyes and I will try later when hes out exploring his enclosure.

I had him registered with a local exotic vet before I had even picked him up and can take him if its worth a visit

Ive had my little guy for just under a month he's eaten each time I've fed him and went into shed last week. I've got what I thought was great hides for him in a custom made bioactive enclosure but he buried down and made his own hide (it annoyed me abit but if he likes it its good)

Anyway got home tonight looked in his home made hide and saw a skin.

When i pulled it out and checked it its a full shed with eye caps im so happy because knowing hes eating fine and now shed fully it means im doing everything correctly.

My only concern is I cant find any poop yet. Im 75% sure he should off by now but with it being bioactive and so much clutter theres a possibility hes done it and its hidden somewhere. From past experience with bioactive i used to bury every other and the CUC would deal with it id just remove the urates. There isn't a smell so think its ok

Tomorrow ill have a real look but for tonight im just happy

My little baby was in blue the other day eyes looked milky ect, I know just before they shed they then semi look normal again. I dont want to get him out yet incase he hasn't shed and did a quick scan of the tank and cant see any shed anywhere. He's a pastel vpi axanthic and only 4 months old does he look like hes shed or not yet?

He's out and about but since ive had him he's doing that more and more so snapped a quick picture

I have a bioactive set up for my ball, ive had him for 2 weeks. The enclosure has been growing in for nearly 6 months.

I have the vivexotic AAL enclosure it is 1200mm x 625mm x 625mm (roughly 4x2x2 foot)

Custom backgrounds, all live plants and a CUC of springtails and isopods.

My concern after more research is the heating and lighting and potential lack of UVB.

My temps and humidity are fine and I constantly move the two probes i have to check temps and humidity around the enclosure

My heat source is 150w CHE on a dimmer thermostat that drops 1.5 degrees Celsius at night and my light for the plants and daytime is 13w reptile systems new dawn LED ill post a photo of it.

Do I need more i thought

I can afford whatever I need to get so thats not an issue I just want to make sure my boy is healthy

Im terrible at knowing morphs and trying to learn.

So the parents are pastel fire double het clown and what the breeder has written is VPI x leopard VPI het piebald or thats what it looks like

Ive had lucifer for just over a week now. I tried to feed him 2 days ago and he showed no interest at all. Originally I had just let the rat defrost at room temperature and tired to offer it but he showed no interest at all. Today I defrosted in luke warm water then i dunked the head of the rat in hot water afew times to get it warmer, as soon as I offered the rat he started going crazy and withing 10 seconds had grabbed it.

He ate it all withing a minute or so.

So proud of my little fella

He's done a lap of his home and I think he likes the clutter. He doesn't even need to be in a hide to hide but going to add another cork round at the front so he can hide more

I pick this little boy up next week just have 1 issue with the humidity in one of the hides but other than that im all ready

Im getting my new baby in the next week or so and decided to put the probe in the hides to see what im reading. One side is great but the cool hide is at 99% humidity. When i deel the substrate its fine as in not damp but humidity wont go down.

The hide is i think an exoterra but then I have coved it inside and out with silicone and covered in sphagnum moss just so it looked more natural.

I do have a spare hide thats a half round log, I could swap it out but I feel the one in looks better.

They both look good and I will sacrifice looks over the wellbeing of my new noodle but as I dont have him yet I want to try and see if I can control the humidity in this one

Any ideas or shall I just but the log back in?

I had a beard and have just shaved it all off, as soon as i shaved it off this colour difference was there. I dont think its a rash as it was there straight away.

Male 36 180cm 65kg no health issues. I do smoke and drink regularly. Same colour patch on my right cheek just under ear but not on the other side

This is the first time ive fully shaved in about 5 years, I was expecting more tan difference as last time I fully shaved there was definitely a tan line but not darker/red like this time

I started making this back in February its a vivexotic AAL 4ft x 62.5 inch x 62.5 inch vivarium that ive made afew modifications too. Did a custom background and sides. I also made a water feature that turns on and off by a remote and doubles as the water bowl.

All the plants are real and have a CUC of isopods and springtails that have taken over everywhere.

The lights are on timers and have managed now to get the temps and humidity near perfect on each side.

Ive got 4 more plants to add that are arriving this week.

I have think i have my baby sorted as well im looking at a pastel axanthic and if all goes well I should have him in about 3 weeks

What do you all think? Any other ideas?

Was just looking around my enclosure and saw one of my prayer plants has flowered, I had to have a goggle to see if its a good thing and it is. Its showing i have the perfect conditions for it.

I have read some people pull them off as they drop after a day or so and can start making a mess but surely thats all part of my bio set up and my CUC will deal with it

Im looking at getting this adorable like noodle but just want to know if there are any health issues with dreamsicle? Its traits are Lavender Albino and piebald ive emailed the seller to find out what its parents were.

If they are know for having issues ill avoid getting one as I dont want to be part of the problem creating demand

Definitely cost me more than 50p but I think its worth it 👌 last photo shows the eye of sauron reflection, ill get a better photo at some point but im not removing it from the capsule

Ive just made what i think is a silly purchase but maybe not ive bought the new 50p from the royal mint
