Imo this guy is just comparing apples to oranges. Retro handhelds and current gen consoles serve different purposes.

What do you guys think of this ?

Just to clarify:

1- from what i understand, they (for some reason) called the retroid pocket 6 a "PSP".

2- the "switch 2 comes with one game" probably means that the switch 2 comes BUNDLED with one game (referring to either the mkw bundle or the choose your game bundle).

Mario teases luigi by stepping on his leg ONCE and people (especially luigi glazers) act like he killed their family.

Like what ?? Do you not know that siblings do shit like this all the time ? Why ignore the many times mario saved luigi like in mario galaxy 1, 3d land, and the 2023 movie (where it like half the damn plot) ? Why ignore how luigi stomps on mario's head and tries to throw a koopa shell at him in mario 3's title screen intro ? Why are luigi glazers act like luigi is always the victim and that "mario hates him" ?

One single cutscene made people think that mario is a psychopath who hates his brother and other shit like that.

This is not necessarily grifting, but i couldn't find any other subreddit to make this post, and i thought that this is the "perfect" subreddit to share that.

Also, the fact that they had to make an entire video to debunk this claim truly shows how stupid some people are.

I'll start:

1- nsmb wii is overrated, and i perfer nsmb 2 over it.

2- i perfer the no-collision multiplayer from mario wonder over the one seen in the nsmb games (which is one of the reasons why i don't like nsmb wii that much).

3- the mario galaxy movie was a bit overhated, but i understand the criticism.

4- i don't mind the fact that rosalina and peach are sisters in the movies (i comsider the movie universe to be separated from the game universe).

5- mario bros lost levels is overhated.

6- i think that the gbc, gba and (sadly) 3ds had the weakest mario games (yeah i liked most of the 3ds games, but i didn't like the "NSMBification" of the mario series at that time).

7- i consider mario run and bowser's fury to be mainline games (especially because the mario portal website mention these games in the "history of mario" section or whatever that's called).

8- not sure if this is a hot take, but i hate how some people act like luigi is always a victim and is being mistreated by mario, with their evidence being that one cutscene from mario tennis. That type of actions is something called "brother rivalry/teasing". People who say such things clearly don't have siblings, and i believe that the mario bros. deeply love each other. But let's pretend like such actions are out of hatred. In mario 3's intro, luigi throws a koopa shell at mario, causing him to lose his super form (or raccoon form, i forgot). Shouldn't this be proof that luigi also mistreats mario ? But no, luigi is "always the victim" ! If you think that such actions are proof of cruelty, why focus on one but ignore the other ? (Again, i believe that the mario bros. love and respect each other).

9- i dislike nsmb wii because i think it has less interesting bonus content, the presence of player collision in multiplayer (bumping into others, carrying and throwing other players) and the levels are too big and empty.

10- i think that mario wonder is the best 2d mario game.

11- mario world is better than mario 3 (cold ahh take but still).

12- i'd argue that rosalina is the worst playqble charqcter in 3d world.

I'm honestly kinda confused.

Because people claim that the game is too short to be a mainline game, yet whenever nintendo makes merch about "the history/evolution of mario", usually involving mainline games, they include this game but not the other spinoffs/remakes (but they do include some switch rereleases, like 3d all stars, NSMBU deluxe...)

What do you think ?

Edit: just in case it wasn't obvious, i'm asking if it's a FULL mainline game.

He makes skits, game reviews and covers gaming news, but some of his takes, mostly nintendo-related, are so dumb (in his switch 2 review he claimed that nintendo is comfortable doing the bare minimum and isn't that innovative in comparaison to xbox and ps, yes you read that correctly, ps and xbox) and he glazes steam A LOT (this mf literally admitted it in his latest long form video).

When nintendo, playstation and xbox raise their prices, he calls them greedy and stuff. But when valve does it, suddenly it's ai and datacenters (ik it's always been that and RAM prices)

The version michael left before he died was an older demo made in 1999 for invincible, with a much different vibe and instrumental

But the 2014 version is a new modernised version by timbaland and other collaborators

Plus the number of this type of vids started increasing a lot these days (i think especially after the release of the biopic)
