We are working with a 20gal pool liner from Lowes as our pond. We let our pond sit de chlorinated with plants, gravel, 3 cement rocks (which we got rid of because someone told us this whole thing about cement rocks leeching chemicals which we didnt realize when we got em) in it for a week before putting fish in. After we let it sit and acclimated the fish, we finally put 2 females and 1 male in, and only 1 female survived the day after. Also, we had the whole wildfire terrible air quality and massive rainstorm in the same day we introduced the fish. We tested multiple times with the 5 in 1 test kit before and after fish, did ammonia test today for the first time because today we was the first time someone really broke it down for us about needing to test ammonia levels and how important it is, put a shit ton more active bio in today and just letting the pond chill for the next week and we will test again and so forth. It's hard to write all the details and then have people nit pick you while you're responding to one comment and getting 20 more. In the meantime, all saying the same thing is just some helpful and some mean.

But my own reason is because they look cool, I like many styles of porch ponds now I come to find out, and are chill, and i like to chill. and we got other projects on the way. Looking for a community for help and inspiration. This video was taken before we got the fish. Heading back to petco in just a bit for more plants and fish. We need more cover. Originally we went to an aquarium shop for the fish and plants but, now we're opting for a shorter distance. Lets see what happens. We are from VA just fyi so if any of our followers or comments are from the area.. what up my peeps!
