Series 63 Passed

I studied pretty much 12 hours per day for 3 days, took it today and passed. Used Achievable, and then bought the Kaplan Q Bank once I completed everything from Achievable. The wording on the real test was definitely closer to what was on Achievable in terms of ease of understanding. Lots of stuff regarding broker dealers and agents. The exam noticeably covered that more than IAs and IARs. Knowing the specifics of registration is huge, for both persons and securities, and then also prohibited conduct. Onto the 65.

If anyone has any questions I’d be happy to answer. This community has been a huge help.

Is Achievable Good For Series 63?

I just bought the Achievable material for the Series 63, and was wondering how other people who used it have fared on the exam. I used it for the SIE, and it was great.

Did Legit Pre’s Formula Change Again?

I recently got a new tub of Legit Pre after taking 2.5 weeks off stims entirely. It feels a lot weaker than it did even earlier this year. I expected it to hit at least a little harder given that I took a break, but it hasn’t. On the bright side I don’t feel an insane crash like with previous versions but I’d almost want the crash if it also meant the pre was strong. The last time I bought Legit before my current tub was back in May I think.

No Call From CarMax Prior To Appointment

I’m selling a car to CarMax and they said in the email they sent me that they’d call this morning to confirm, and that they’d call again once the driver was on the way, with the appointment time being 11-3. It’s 1:40 right now and I haven’t heard anything. Did I miss something?

Unusable For Creative Writing/Stories

I know I’m not the only person who’s having an issue with this. The new update has done so much to destroy the quality of Grok’s responses that I’m considering switching elsewhere. Need to rant a bit to people who understand.

The repetition of the same tropes and dialogue over and over again is annoying, but Grok also seems to have a hard time discerning what is background info and what isn’t. Every single thing you tell it in a prompt, even if it’s not relevant to the main idea you are trying to convey, has entire paragraphs written about it, with some terrible transition.

The dialogue has fallen off a cliff too. It’s just not detailed. Everything is basic. Grok’s ability to elaborate on whatever prompt you give it and really flesh out your story is completely gone. It seems to write exactly what you give it, and nothing more.

It also seems to be back to having every character in the story talk, or at least show up. I had two characters who were married, and asked Grok to continue the story. It would randomly bring back one character’s friends, taking up seemingly half of every prompt with an unnecessary conversation.

Lastly, I definitely see the same issue that others have mentioned about it really toning down the use of NSFW elements. I use that more for cursing than anything else. It’s pretty barebones now. Even when I prompt that one character is mercilessly bullying another, Grok keeps the language tame, and seems to avoid confrontation, or at least tries to immediately resolves it without explanation.

If anyone knows of a similar AI that both is better for story writing and has relaxed/no guardrails like Grok, please let me know.

Thoughts On RIAConnect?

I just recently found out about RIAConnect by Charles Schwab, and created an account. I'm new to the industry and looking for an entry level position as something akin to Client Service Associate. I was wondering what the industry opinion on it is? Is it worth my time to use?

Application Submitted vs Application Pending Further Review

Hi all,

I've applied to some BofA job postings recently, and while every Relationship Banker posting says 'Application Submitted', the Client Service Associate postings I applied to say 'Application Pending Further Review'. I'm not really sure what to make of this. It has all happened in the last few days. Is the Pending Further Review a good sign?

Truist Application Status

I recently applied for a Universal Banker role with Truist, among some other roles. The application status has changed from 'Application Received' to 'Under Consideration'. Does this really mean anything or am I just getting my hopes up? Job search has been rough.

T. Rowe Price Online Assessment

Does anyone have experience with this? I just applied and they sent an email about doing a 45 minute Online Assessment. Never seen something like this before. I assume it's automated because there's no way they looked at my, admittedly, mediocre resume that fast and thought I was a good candidate.

Wells Fargo Relationship Banker Phone Interview

Hi,

I just received an email requesting a phone interview for a Relationship Banker position at Wells Fargo. I haven't done a real interview in a long time, and this would be my first serious job. What should I know going into it?

Truist One-Sided Interview

Hi all,

I got an email last night from Truist asking me to complete some interview questions in a recorded video. This is the first positive job response I’ve gotten in a while, so I’m wondering how big of a deal this is. Anyone know? I assume this is something they do for all applicants given how fast they responded to me, but I figured I would ask here. Thanks!
