Starting With This - What Do You Do?

Routine: Minimalistic and cheap. Just regular head and shoulders 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner. Towel pat down and a little brushing. Sleeping on a normal pillow.

TIL that in Mongolia from 1920s to 1997, people didn't have surnames and lost association with their clans as the communist government there banned them since its founding.

What Are These Glitchy Lines/Shading On My Character?

You can see it along his chest and bicep. When I go to the barber it’s also noticeable on the face. It’s this weird hazy line shading thing. Is it from anti aliasing or something?

How Do You Feel About Indie Games In An Indigenous Setting By Non-Indigenous Developers?

I was curious about what the sentiment around this is.

Take a game such as This Land is My Land for example, from a Ukrainian developer. I’ve seen some fair criticism that it wasn’t done with consultation, but i’ve also seen indigenous people in the reviews say they really enjoyed it and loved having some representation.

In that instance the studio, while indie, was a little larger so I think they should’ve probably done their due diligence and hired someone - but if you’re a one man team you don’t really have the resources to hire a cultural consultant. The best you might be able to do is exchange emails with someone from that community.

Is it just a setting/topic that shouldn’t be touched by small indie developers and left for the bigger companies to handle? Are there any examples of games you enjoyed that explored indigenous themes/narratives in a cool way?

Installing SSD and Cleaning Fans?

I’m hoping to put an SSD inside the laptop (in my case a G16 from what I understand it has a second empty ssd slot) but i’ve never really done something like this before so there’s things that are obvious to other people that I’m unsure about.

I’ve heard that touching any of the interiors, particularly dropping a screw or something on it can fry the motherboard and destroy the laptop.

Despite this, I also haven’t seen people disconnect the power supply which I’ve also heard you should do because it can electrocute you or something like that?

I’ve also heard that you can’t just use a brush on the fans because that’ll push the dust deeper into the laptop - but then I saw that if you use a vacuum that by the fan spinning from the suction you could activate some motor and destroy the computer that way too.

I’d really appreciate if there was some beginner friendly step by step guide I could watch if you have any you could recommend me, or otherwise just some general advice to ease my mind about this.
