Lonely but I hate people

I long for a deep connection.

I feel like I have so much love to give.

Even just a good conversation I'm so hungry for it.

But I am continually disappointed in people.

Maybe abuse has ruined me.

Maybe my standards are too high.

I live in constant fear of two things.

  1. I will never love or feel loved ever again, I will never feel excited or truly interested in someone else.

  2. I will fall hard and fast into the wrong hands, and I will waste years of my life and incur irreversible damage.

I hope neither happen.

But I know one things for sure, I feel most lonely when I am around many other people.

I like not being simple or standard.

I have so many interests, hobbies and passions, but I would have thought by now I would have found a small home somewhere.

I'm 31 and depression and anxiety has kept me socially isolated for the better half of 17 years.

Everytime I try to reach out I'm either burnt or just dissapointed.

Ugh, what a drag.

I just throw myself into my hobbies until the feeling passes.

First time fundraiser walking 35km/21.7m as a reasonably unfit, socially anxious person... looking for a little support as I don't really have friends I can ask yet.

This will be my biggest walk in my entire life!

Challenging myself in new ways like this really helps me get out of the house and build my confidence as I am recovering from depression and ptsd.

Aside from my individual personal reasons, I am walking to support people living with mitochondrial disease (mito), a debilitating, terminal disease. This cause is what donations will directly go towards.

Helping me is just a happy side effect :')

Even a few dollars would truly mean a lot.

This is my first ever fundraiser, I struggled to let myself sign up knowing I won't be able to raise as much as people who have an established social circle and friends.

I already donated myself so, I'm hoping at least one other person can help out and I'll feel like I earnt my place.

Thank you for listening!

How bad are my fillings?

I have severe anxiety and I needed to be sedated for these fillings which all up cost a lot of money...

I discussed whitening with my dentist and he said we will get to that after the fillings.

It's been a month since and I have observed:

- extreme cold sensitivity in two of my teeth, one which was broken prior. (Bottom- my left)

- difficulty flossing between a tooth on my lower left, second gap from the back.

- slight bumps in my mouth which I can tell aren't a huge deal but feel weird to my tongue, like for a second it feels like food stuck in my mouth, slightly maddening.

Most of all

- I am terribly unhappy with the colour, it is more yellow and dark than what is natural for me in that area. You can see clear lines where my tooth ends and the filling begins.

I know it's not something most people will see but I look at it everyday to floss and feel hideous. It looks dirty! I paid thousands of dollars for this...

This has been harming my mental health for over a month and I am going back for a review in a week, I just want to know what other people think.

I have seen people get teeth rebuilt and you can't even tell, I wasn't expecting such a missmatch and for it to be darker of all things when we specifically discussed whitening. So if that ever happened the contrast would be even greater. I am in disbelief.

I know the colour might almost exist in my mouth but the placement is so wrong and we discussed going lighter.

They also are telling me I owe them around $300 when my bank statement says I paid in full. No split payment or additional costs were discussed pre-op. It feels like this process has just created more problems than it solved and I am devastated.

I am freakinggggg out because I fear like they will think I was looking them up and I wasn't!

Full disclosure of course I had a peak but it was agessss ago and from a different account entirely!.

I don't know why this is happening now.

I'm so scared I'll make them uncomfortable.

Ughhh
