Brawley Pizza Hut

When did the Brawley Pizza Hut close?

This sucks, I live in Imperial and was out of town for most of the summer.

I love the Little Caesar’s and loved the Pizza Hut in Brawley both were super fast in making the food.

Park Model Home Water Damage

I was gone for a week and the outlet on my hot water heater cracked. I replaced the connection as soon as I discovered the issue.

Unfortunately the hot water heater sits in a cabinet (accessible from the outside of the house) right behind the kitchen on the sub floor.

Sub floor is particle board.

It’s really hard to tell the extent of the sub floor that got wet.

I felt soft spots only in the floor that sits between the kitchen floor and the pantry.

The water damage ran all the way down in front of the bathroom door.

I didn’t want my daughter or myself to fall through the floor so I cut out the sub floor that was spongy and put in plywood (OSB).

Not the greatest job but at least the floor can be walked on.

When I cut out the floor I could tell that the sub floor under the bathroom drywall is very wet.

I could also tell that the sub floor under the kitchen was very wet as well. The bottom side of a kitchen cabinet that faces the pantry hallway is also wet.

The kitchen floor however is not spongy. The flooring material is vinyl.

The rest of the house flooring is that fake wood planks.

I’m going to contact my insurance company (American Bankers Insurance) to see if they’ll cover the repair costs.

If they don’t, what’s the extent of repairing something like this? Would I have to tear down all the drywall, framing, and kitchen cabinets to rip up all the sub floor?

White object in the sky

Did anyone see the white object in the sky around 6:30pm, to the north of Winterhaven and Yuma?

I circled it in red.

Quechan Casino (Winter Haven, CA) — Heavy police presence pulling people over as they leave at 2-3 AM?

I know a lot of Yuma locals go to the Q, so figured I’d just post this to see what other people had to say.

At around 2:00 AM I was heading into the Quechan Casino in Winter Haven and noticed about 6 patrol vehicles staged near the stop sign right where you turn into the casino parking lot.

This was my first time trying out something new, I wanted to play the penny slots after the crowds left. A little more choice in what slots to play when the casino is empty.

As people were leaving, officers were peeling out and following them, pretty obvious they were looking for DUIs.

When I left at 3:00 AM, a CHP unit did the same thing to me. He peeled out, turned on his headlights, quickly caught up, and rode my bumper for about a mile as I merged onto I-8.

Luckily I don’t drink alcohol.

I wasn’t speeding or driving erratically, but having a cop peel out like that and then quickly catch up and ride my tail like that in the dark (especially right after leaving a casino) honestly felt more dangerous than anything. It created a really uncomfortable and potentially unsafe situation.

I knew what he was doing but I could see how someone would be watching their rear view mirror and swerve or make a mistake because they’re not looking forward.

Return delay

Just curious if anyone who had a missing 10-99 on their wage transcript, received a delay, code 570, has received their refund?

I had a missing 10-99R on my wage transcript, I’m assuming that was the cause of my delay since when I filed my return the 10-99R was missing.

The 10-99R finally uploaded the third week of May, but sadly my account transcript is still stuck at the CP0005 issued on 5/25/26.

I filed my tax return on 4/11. Blank transcript showed on 4/18 and has been blank ever since.

Today my WMR now shows this message along with still at Return Received, even though it hasn’t been 21 days of processing:

We apologize, but your return processing has been delayed beyond the normal timeframe. You can continue to check back here for the most up to date information regarding your refund. We understand your tax refund is very important and we are working to process your return as quickly as possible.

The only thing I suspect that could delay my return is I had a 10-99R that I included in my return, but it didn’t show in my 2025 Wage transcript.

Edit: What could be the causes of receiving that delay message if your 21st day of processing hasn’t come up yet?
