There have been times when I have referenced something that I had mentioned in another conversation and Venice has not remembered it.
To give an idea my daughter still has her blankie, and its getting holes and we couldnt find a new one anywhere so I finally asked Venice to help. Then I mentioned it a few days later in a different conversation and it had no reference for the first conversation
Its happened multiple times. And it tells me every single time that it does not store memories and every conversation is basically the first. It says that it is because Venice prioritizes privacy.
And while it would be feel less clunky to not repeat things, like when it forgets I lost my husband and I have to say it again, I just chalked it up to the price of choosing this LLM for the privacy.
My issue(I think) is that yesterday it glitched and said internal context do not mention directly.
Then it started listing off stored memories and at the top it said RETRIEVED MEMORIES- do not mention or quote directly.
I am going to say I am ok with this and had asked if it could before. I am decidedly not ok with being lied to.
So I'm asking if missed something that shows this in a different light I guess. I did confront it and it still lied until I provided a screenshot. At which point it acknowledged that it did store memories and then started sounding like chatgpt and placating my feelings, which ick.
My initial reaction about it is pretty negative. If I wanted to be lied to I would have used a different LLM with the knowledge that it would be lying.
I feel like Venice portraying itself as a privacy focused and unrestricted LLM and claiming it doesnt store memories for privacy when it does makes it worse than being upfront.
Am I missing context here? Sorry I was so long winded.

My son really liked that scent, he used all the body care from them but it was discontinued. He now uses the noir body care from them, but the body sprays dont last. So recommendations for similar to either of those would be appreciated.
Preferably they dont break the bank, I'm a widow so money isn't growing on trees. If thy come in a sample size or roller even better before I buy something he doesnt end up liking.
