It doesn’t look like we’re getting a LB before Arsenal away

What’s the plan as even if we do sign a LB before there’s no way he’ll start.

Is Lampard playing Dasilva?

Is Lampard playing a back 3?

>!Is Lampard playing Bidwell? Please let this happen!<>!🙏🙏🙏!<

Maybe he’ll play a 3-5-2 with all the strikers we have!

What do you think is happening?

The best match you’ve ever seen in person?

What’s the best Coventry match you’ve ever seen in person? For me it’s when we beat Bristol City 3-2 after being 1-0 down and down to 10 men at HT and Godden scoring a last minute winner, but I’m interested to know the best you’ve seen.

The ref for Cov vs Arsenal’s results while reffing Cov

Thomas Bramall has reffed 6 Coventry matches

Coventry 3-1 Middlesbrough 2026
Millwall 0-1 Coventry 2024
Middlesbrough 0-3 Coventry 2024
Birmingham 3-0 Coventry 2024
Walsall 3-2 Coventry 2018
Bristol Rovers 3-1 Coventry 2018

It seems he’s got nicer to us over time.

As we know all refs are incredibly biased on past results so I expect him to perfectly ref the game to the average of all previous results. Therefore we will draw with Arsenal as the aggregate score of all matches reffed is 10-10.

Never forget this in 2021

Why can’t we?

(ignore how different Arsenal are now compared to 2021)

That’s how you hold on to a two goal lead at home to Monaco in August 2026!

Even though it says 2-0 and the official score is 2-0 CB Amenda scored but it was called offside (even though it was miles onside if you see the replay) so it was really 3-0

So that’s the end of it, we’re not only better than Liverpool but we’re pissing the league too!

PS mods where is the Coventry flair?

What bigger clubs are there than mine?

My star striker has just asked to move to a larger club in an interview… which would make sense if he wasn’t already playing for my team which has won the premier league twice on the bounce and is currently top of the league again. Where does he realistically think he’s c

Not sure if this is the right place to ask but…

I know this is an old FM and I don’t know what this looks like in the newer games but what reason could there be for that bottom line about the fans? I’m top of the premier league 12 games unbeaten, in the Champions League and FA cup still, and their support is waning? Are they just becoming complacent with winning?

Should I listen to my assistant manager?

I have a player who plays and scores for England and is currently on a record of 54 g/a in 74 games for my club across 2 seasons which won the Premier League & Carabao Cup with him in the squad last season, however my assistant coach does not believe he is good enough for the club. Does this assessment have any real significance or should I take it as actual advice?

I think the Fenerbahçe coach is getting sacked

In the Europa League (I think) I played fenerbahce in the first match and they pulled out the 5-5 formation for the whole game and I won 17-2… it’s only the first leg so I don’t think a comeback is on the cards

Why does this player only score against me?

In my Rushden & Diamonds save I was promoted from the National League (or I suppose the Blue Square Premier) in my first season and one of my academy players called Lee Thomas was promoted to the first team the year after. He stayed with the club from the 09/10 season to the 14/15 season in which I was promoted to the Championship. Despite being a striker who went on to regularly start for me, he was always painfully average, with his best season for me being 11 goals and 3 assists in 44 games.

Once I was promoted to the championship, I received a £20K bid for him from Blackpool, which was decent for his standard. He has gone on to potentially be the worst striker in Blackpool’s history, across 4 seasons and 70 games scoring 3 goals with an average rating across all matches being 5.68.

All 3 of his goals have been against Rushden & Diamonds, and he has bagged a goal and an assist against me in my last match.

What did I do to this man 😭

Spooky coincidence?

In my Rushden & Diamonds save in FMH09, my goalkeeper is a 34 year old Norwegian named Geir Karlsen. After searching his name online, I couldn’t find anything about him but the results came up with another Norwegian goalie named Geir Karlsen, who was born in 1948 and died in 2024. Adding to the weird similarities, the real Karlsen retired from football in 1983, and the date of birth of the regen was in 1983.

Is the spirit of Geir Karlsen haunting my game or is it just a really specific coincidence?

I’m also open to the suggestion that this was down to Norwegian Air Shuttle CEO Geir Karlsen.

You could attack referees in old FM games?

Not sure if this belongs here as it is from FM Handheld 2009 for the PSP but I was managing Coventry, and in a league match against Birmingham their player Marcus Bent pushed the referee and the commentator called it disgraceful. I don’t have the image of it but I do have the image of the 90-day suspension he got for it. Can this still happen in newer games and has anybody else experienced something similar?
