Husband is concerned if we hyphenate our childrens surname that theyll be "bullied"...

Can anyone with a hyphenated surname or knowing others with hyphenated surnames confirm or disprove this?

Husband seems incapable of compromise when it comes to culture and parenting decisions...

Im due in 2.5 months, and every time we discuss certain parenting choices he shuts down.

We come from different cultural denominations and for the most part Ive taken on his culture entirely.

I moved to his home country, gave up my job, etc etc.

I kept my surname when we got married and I suggested that we hyphenate the kids surname - he wouldnt have it - initially he threw in the towel and said he didnt want the baby if it wasnt having his surname (this was early first trimester), then he changes his tune and told me just to give the baby my surname but that he would NOT hyphenate - he has not provided any explanation.

In his culture, they shave the babies head either in the first or 3rd year (its a ritual)...while in mine we do not cut the babies hair at all until it turns 3 yrs old. I asked if we could find a compromise and do so in the 3rd year out of respect for both our backgrounds and he simply said "its either following yours or mine not both, its not even born yet and Im already confused. do whatever you want. You make all the decisions, i dont care".

I was discussing the hair cutting with his sister as well and I suggested finding a middle ground and she insisted that "you HAVE to shave the babies head. You came here" as if im expected to erase my entire background and solely adopt theirs.

Is this a deal breaker? Has anyone had similar experiences with culture/kids? Outcome?

Seeking advice/opinions/experiences from twin mums that travelled at 26/27 weeks gestation...

Im currently living overseas, returning home (Australia) to have the di/di twins.

Aside from the babies measuring big (just over a week ahead of schedule) and having some difficulty walking long distances due to the weight, the pregnancy is uncomplicated and Ive been cleared to fly.

Wondering if anyone else has flown this late and if you wished youd flown earlier?

Currently due for an 8 hour flight on 25 July...

Im 23 weeks and considering moving flights earlier, not sure if its worth it though?

Anterior vs posterior placenta - twin pregnancy

So one baby has an anterior placenta and at 21 weeks I barely feel him, which leaves me worried...

Other baby has posterior placenta and gives me zero peace.

The gap in movement makes me worried about the first.

Is this normal?

How common is PPROM with twins? Those who had this, what were your symptoms?

Send help.

20 weeks with di/di twins, Ive been constipated for 3 days, am hypermobile and was feeling a bit off yesterday, left work early, because I was feeling very heavy and very stretched.

Im currently overseas for work and due to fly home for the birth at 26 weeks but had 4 bowel movements in the last six hours and at the 1st one this morning felt a bulge/gush of fluid that left an 8cm wet patch in my underwear.

I didnt think much of it because ive been particularly wet since the start of pregnancy, discharge has been smelling extra bleachy today. Significant cramping in my glutes but no abdominal cramps.

Being overseas the country Im in doesnt amazing facilities so ED is a last resort.

How/why did you leave your spouse while pregnant with their child? Any regrets?

Not even sure if Im posting on the right sub....but to the married/separated women out there who have left or have decided to leave, how did you commit to it? What was the final straw? What led you to making that decision in the end?

And do you have any regrets?
