If you ever wondered what a bonded pair looks like, this is it. They look for one another when the other disappears from sight. Before anyone chooses them, they choose each other. They’ve built their own tiny world where neither one has to ever feel alone. A paw becomes a hug. A belly becomes a pillow. And the windowsill becomes their favorite place simply because they’re sharing it. They don’t know what bonded means. They just know that life feels safer when they are together. And maybe that’s the most beautiful part. We spend so much time searching for the perfect home for our rescue babies, but Peekie Boo and Papito have already found part of theirs. They found home in each other. Now they’re just waiting for the person who will give them the rest of it.

This brother-sister duo really need your help.

Sugar Rush and Sweet Tooth’s deadlines have arrived. They’re going from having free rein of a home to being confined to a crate. Please imagine that transition. Suddenly, their entire world will be limited to the four walls of a crate. What scares me even more is their bond is at risk. What they are missing is something I cannot provide without the community. Their future depends on people scrolling past this post. It only takes one person to change everything for them. They lost their current foster home. Please don’t let them lose each other next. Surviving in a crate is not the life I rescued them for.
I am one person running a small foster-based rescue, and a foster-based rescue cannot function without people willing to open their homes. Even temporary placement could change their immediate reality. Sharing this post is not small. A single share could lead to their future home.

Sugar Rush & Sweet Tooth are losing their foster home. Crown Heights

Rescue is full of cats people love but overlook in reality. In rescue, waiting can become its own kind of heartbreak. Sugar Rush and Sweet Tooth have built their entire world around each other. Bonded cats don’t just share a home. They share emotional safety. But sadly, as they get older, adoption interest drops drastically. Add a “bonded” pair to the equation, and the chances become even slimmer. The longer cats wait in rescue, the more invisible they become. These siblings have been patiently waiting for seven months with no adoption interest. The worst part is that they're losing their foster through no fault of their own.
