Sorry to sound ignorant. 50f. I have become aware that I likely need some more help than my PCP prescribed Prozac can give me. I want to find a psychiatrist… but everyone keeps telling me that I will also need a counselor and a then a psychiatrist will just see me for a few minutes here and there to monitor my prescriptions. Is that valid ? Are there no psychiatrists that would actually do both ? Thank you in advance for explaining this to me.

Local move - maybe 3 miles.

Departure home will be a pain - it’s a tall skinny townhouse so there are stairs. One bedroom. No appliances . Just bedroom furniture / living room furniture / small kitchen table / 2 tvs

Arrival home is a ground floor 1 bedroom apartment - no stairs easy access

Hi guys … new on this journey …. Started Estradiol patch and progesterone about 6 weeks ago and have found I am so weepy.
Has anyone else experienced this ? Does this mean I need to be adjusted ? I know I started on a very low level of the patch .

Good evening from Oregon - looking for some honest opinions -

Recently seen two doctors - my primary care and one other ..They both agree I am likely in menopause but can’t confirm since I have only gone 8 months with no period and not the standard 12 months needed for the official diagnosis. However they both had vastly different stances on hormone replacement therapy which has left me very confused.

One says I need to start an estrogen patch and a progesterone pill to protect my cardiac health and bone health.

The other doctor says I absolutely do not.

I have had no menopause symptoms at all.

These are both doctors I trust and I want to do what is right for my body and this feels very uncomfortable to me.

Thoughts ?

Today I got the news that I can order tshirts for our courthouse therapy dogs to match the tshirts that some of our youngest child victims wear when they are at the courthouse. This took a lot of work and will be a big deal to the kids and I am so excited . ( see picture in comments )
