Chiro was found abandoned on our campus. We really want to give her the care and safety she deserves, but it is difficult for us to keep her with us as students because the dogs on campus are territorial, and it is not a safe environment for a small puppy.

We’re People for Animals (PFA) Thapar, a student-run animal welfare group at Thapar Institute.

Our vacations have ended and we're back on campus, but during the break we ended up exhausting all our available funds on medical bills, medicines and feeding the animals in our care.

Now that we're back, the animals on campus still need regular food, medicines, vaccinations, treatment and emergency care. With our funds basically at zero, we're trying to rebuild our fund so we're able to help when the next animal needs us.

We've attached some bills showing where the money goes — from food, medicines and vaccinations.

We are Team PFA TIET, a student-run animal welfare society at Thapar Institute dedicated to caring for our campus's community animals.

Our previous Instagram account was unfortunately disabled, so we're starting over from scratch. It was our biggest platform for spreading awareness, finding adopters, and raising funds for food and medical care.

Meet Loki – a tiny survivor looking for his forever home

Loki is a 1.5-month-old male Indie puppy who was found all alone, with no mother or littermates in sight. Despite such a rough start to life, he's grown into an incredibly friendly, calm, playful, and affectionate little pup who loves being around people.

He's:

• Friendly, gentle, and great with people

Because of your donations, we've been able to continue:
• Daily feeding across campus
• Medical treatment for injured and sick dogs
• Emergency veterinary visits
• Medication and recovery care for dogs under treatment

Unfortunately, we now need to clear a bill of nearly ₹12,000, and there is still about one month of summer break remaining before students return to campus.

During the semester, volunteers help with feeding, transport, and monitoring treatment. But during summer break, only a handful of us remain on campus while the dogs still need the same level of care.

We're trying our best to avoid reducing food quantity or delaying treatments, but our funds are running low.

If you'd like to help us get through the final month of summer break, any contribution—whether ₹50, ₹100, or more—goes directly toward food and medical care for the dogs.

A few weeks ago, many of you helped support our fundraiser for the community dogs at Thapar Institute. Thanks to your generosity, we've been able to continue feeding them through the summer break.

We've attached recent feeding videos as an update. Unfortunately, summer break continues until 27 July, and our remaining funds are running low. With dogs spread across a 250-acre campus and only a handful of volunteers staying back during the break, we still need support to ensure they continue receiving food.
