I didn't go into the restaurant even though it was wide open. There was evidence that someone was living there and I, personally, didn't want to meet them.
Edit: I looked up the parcel information on the GIS website. The mini-mart was built in 1993 and the restaurant was built in 1959.

Location was completely shut down in July. This picture is from when it was still operational in November 2025. I still worked at the gas station attached to it which is also now shut down.
I am so happy that I finally got the opportunity to visit Monowi, Nebraska. It was surreal and beautiful. I'm glad to see the place has a consistent stream of visitors from all over the world. I highly encourage you to drop in and give your support.
