Two no-fault accidents making it impossible to get insurance

I was t-boned twice in two years by the shitty drivers in my area(Northern CA) and found not at fault both by the police AND my current insurance company. It was clear as day that both people ran red lights and struck me. The second incident totaled my car.

I got a used car worth half as much as my last car, I’m driving significantly less now, and somehow my insurance has gone UP. I went to shop around and nobody is even willing to offer me a quote even when I explain the accidents were not my fault???

It makes absolutely no sense that I pay so much when I’m an excellent driver with no accidents or tickets in the ten years prior to these accidents. I’m in my mid thirties.

What should my next steps be here?

Dopamine sources other than buying garbage???

HELP.

I’ve recently returned from a vacation and unfortunately I am in my luteal phase which means my brain is devoid of dopamine and serotonin and the only thing that I can think of to scratch the itch is BUYING SHIT OR EATING TRASH.

Please share how to get out of this loop. I don’t want more shit I have to declutter and I don’t want to feel like there’s a cinder block in my intestines. 🥹

I’m exhausted and at a loss with my complicated case. Please help.

Six years ago, I went to a dentist on an emergent basis due to extreme tooth pain on #4. I hadn’t seen a dentist in ten years. This started an excruciating journey of two years of nonstop dental work. I had six root canals, eight fillings, and three teeth pulled after the root canals failed within days/weeks.

I then adapted an entire dental care routine that kept me cavity free for years.

I’ve seen endodontists, oral surgeons, and three different dentists. I’m seeing a fourth today.

Tooth #4 was re-treated in February of this year. I presented with slight facial swelling and extreme sinus pressure. Endo found an infection at the root tip on a CBCT. He treated and I moved on. Yesterday, I woke up with very slight ear pain, facial swelling, sinus pain. I felt like I had liquid behind my ear drum. I saw a doctor and she said I have a middle ear infection, but that facial swelling and neck pain isn’t typical for this issue. She gave me antibiotics.

After my re-treatment on 4, the endo told me the sinus was extremely close to the root of the tooth and if I had any issues to let him know.

I woke up this morning to my cheek being more swollen than yesterday, and my upper and lower jaw being very painful with a severe neck cramp on the same side.

I’m headed to an emergency dentist in a few hours because I’m concerned this is a bigger issue now.

I am *exhausted* I’m ready to pull all of my teeth out and just get dentures because I’ve sunk tens of thousands into this and the constant lingering pain is killing me.

Where do I go from here? How do I stop this rollercoaster of hell?

Norethindrone acetate to delay period tranquilized me

Hello friends of similar ailments,

I decided to get norethindrone acetate(synthetic progesterone) to delay my period for an upcoming event. My provider is aware that I’m auDHD/PMDD, and still prescribed it anyway(an issue for another time) and I wanted to share my experience.

First off: I’m on a very small dose of an anabolic steroid that I inadvertently discovered basically cured all of my ADHD and PMDD symptoms when I ran a cycle. I cut the typical dose in half to take during my luteal and I’ve had *zero* physical or real ADHD/PMDD symptoms except sleep disturbance. I share this because this steroid combined with my ADHD medication gives me fantastic energy and mood stabilization and has consistently for over a year.

The day I started taking the norethindrone, everything tanked. My energy was so low, I couldn’t do my normal cardio or training schedule. I couldn’t even find the energy to figure out what to make for dinner. This is VERY unlike me. I was so moody, sad, and just totally unable to control myself emotionally.

This went on for about four days until I realized the only thing I changed was these meds. I did some research and lo & behold: this synthetic progesterone is not only a central nervous system depressant, progesterone overproduction and mis-appropriation by our brains is often what contributes to our insane luteal phases.

I stopped taking these pills and the first day was a nightmare. I was crying over my dinner for *no* reason. I couldn’t function. I got a terrible night of sleep and woke up this morning to cramps and feeling almost completely normal again.

It *did* delay my period but the cost of my sanity was NOT worth it for me personally.

Put your carts away please!

The number of people just throwing their carts anywhere they want to when there are cart returns some 15 feet away is honestly insane. It was 94 degrees today and the people working at costco deserve to not run all over the parking lot gathering inconsiderate people’s carts.

PSA: you’re sleeping on potatoes

Russet potatoes are *the* most satiating food on the satiety index. They make you feel fuller longer, are a complex carb despite what people believe, and they’re CHEAP. They’re not just great if you’re bulking, but they’re fantastic as a dieting food as well. Low FODMAP, and higher in potassium than bananas.

I eat 1 and 3/4 cup diced russet potatoes every morning with two eggs and bell peppers(on a cut, by the way). I airfry the potatoes and peppers, season with seasoned salt, and throw my pan-fried or soft boiled eggs on top. Sometimes a sprinkle of cheese, some avocado and pico de gallo if I need even more sustained energy. This seriously keeps me full and the food noise non-existent for four to five hours EASILY.

Note: potatoes have a high glycemic index so if you are diabetic, please be aware of this. If you want to incorporate them anyway, I recommend boiling them until just done, freezing them for 12 hours minimum, and then air-frying or baking them when ready to eat. This turns regular starch into resistant starch which helps your body digest them slower = slower insulin response. This also works for my PMOS(formerly PCOS) girlies that may experience insulin resistance.

DON’T SLEEP ON POTATOES! 🥔
