I’m tired of reading the "Marathon is dead" doomposting, and honestly, I think Sony is looking at the current Steam charts (~4.5k concurrents) and sweating. Let’s restore their confidence and dedicate more resources into this game.!

We know the game is incredible and people can’t stop looking it up on steamcharts, but extraction shooters live and die by corporate perception and matchmaking health. If Sony thinks the interest is gone, funding for future seasons, maps, and balancing will dry up. Let’s show them otherwise! Make them spend hundreds of marabillions more on this masterpiece game!

We need to send a loud, undeniable message to the suits: We are still here, and we want this game to succeed and be brought back by popular demand like the movie Morbius.

THE PLAN: OPERATION RESURRECTION

We are organizing a massive, coordinated community log on event. No matter what platform you play on (PC, PS2, Xbox360, Nintendo GameCube), we want everyone in the matchmaking pools at the exact same time to spike the charts to the fucking moon.

Date: Saturday, August 15, 2026
Time: 1:00 PM PDT / 4:00 PM EDT / 9:00 PM BST
Goal: Push Steam concurrents past 20,000+ and trigger a massive spike on console charts. Let’s send marathon’s player count to the Mooon!

If you can’t actively play that hour, literally just boot up the game on Steam or your console and sit in the main menu. You still count toward the active concurrent player data!

Queue Up: If you can play, grab your squad and flood the matchmaking pools. Let's make the queue times hit absolute zero.
