ATL–FCO: The halibut was actually quite nice
Was a little skeptical about ordering fish on a plane, but the halibut ended up being quite nice.
Finally made the drive to Marietta for the spicy strips
Finally drove up to Marietta to try the new spicy strips after hearing all the hype.
The flavor was actually really good. Nice amount of heat without being overwhelming.
My biggest complaint was how greasy they were. Maybe I caught them on a bad batch, but it definitely took away from what could’ve been a really solid item.
Anyone else have the same experience, or did I just get unlucky?
More Ways to Promote Gambling?
I understand this isn’t gambling. There’s no betting, deposits, or financial risk involved.
What concerns me is the bigger picture. Problem gambling among younger adults has become a growing issue, and sports betting has become deeply integrated into sports culture. It’s on TV broadcasts, podcasts, social media, stadiums, and now even airlines.
Even if this is just a free prediction game, it still gets people into the habit of making picks and chasing rewards. It feels like another step toward making gambling-related activities seem like a normal part of everyday life.
Am I overreacting, or does anyone else think companies should be more cautious about partnering with betting brands given the rise in gambling problems among younger people?
My Chrome Hobby Box Pulls
a few of the better pulls from my hobby box.
Has Anyone’s Order Shipped?
This says arrives July 24, but it hasn’t even shipped.
Trade Value?
Can anyone provide any advice on the value of this card? The local card shop offered $150 in trade value.
Value of Pull?
Pulled this out of 2026 Topps Finest today and I’m struggling to find any comps.
Kyle Karros Rookie Patch Auto Purple /25 (14/25).
Does anyone know what part of the jersey/logo this
patch is from? Any idea what a realistic value would be?
I know he’s not one of the biggest names in the product, but it’s a pretty sick-looking patch. Curious what you guys think.
Costco Weber?
My local Costco has the Weber Genesis E-335 Gas Grill (labeled as the C-335E Costco version) for $899, while Lowe’s has the Weber Genesis S-335 Gas Grill for around $1299.
From what I can tell, they seem VERY similar feature wise:
3 burners
sear zone
side burner
Genesis platform
similar cooking space
The main difference seems to be the S-335 having more stainless steel finishes/components, while the Costco model is more of a Costco exclusive configuration. I’ve also read the Costco one may include extras like the cover depending on location.
For a $400 difference, is the S-335 actually worth it? Or is the Costco version basically the better value unless you really want the stainless finish?
Question About 777-300ER
Usually fly with Delta Air Lines, but we’ll be flying Air France business class back from Paris in August. I was reading that some of the 777 300ER business class cabins have been updated with the newer seats/product. Is there an easy way to tell if my flight is on an updated aircraft?
Also, is there a better place to sit vs. where we currently are?
Our plane does show La Première, if that helps identify it at all. Thanks!
On a bit of a mission to hit every stadium and get all my MLB passport stamps — I’ll be in St. Louis this weekend at the tail end of a work conference, so figured I’d grab stamp #22 and catch the Dodgers.
Looking at tickets and had a question for those who’ve done it:
Is the CommunityAmerica Cardinals Club (green seats) actually worth it? Looks like around $500 and trying to figure out if it’s a “must do once” type experience or more of a skip.
What all is included — is it truly all-inclusive (including liquor), and how’s the food?
Also debating if I’d be better off just doing the Champions Club instead. Seems like a solid option too.
If you’ve done both, which would you pick?
Appreciate any insight — trying to make the most of the trip.
