Was jesus actually born in bethlehem?
Was jesus actually born in Bethlehem? I heard that many scholars don't believe he was born in Bethlehem and I was wondering why do they think that?

Does Deuteronomy 22:28–29 talk about rape?
This subreddit doesn't get nearly as much hate (from what I saw) as r/atheism does, and people shit on christianity here probably even more than they do on r/atheism yet this subreddit seems to be under radar for almost everyone
Why is this subreddit so much hated? I barely notice any hate for the r/exchristian but in the other hand I see people hating and youtube videos mocking r/atheism fairly often.
Are there any old testament prophecies that talk about jesus? If they dont, is that why jews reject jesus?
Christianity pretty much "forces" young and inmature people to marry as quickly as possible. You are horny? You can't jerk off. You wanna have sex with your partner? You have to marry for that.
And I imagine the result of that is usually people who aren't nearly as ready to start family, being forced to start one (especially because catholics consider use of condoms sinful), they possibly aren't even done with getting needed qualifications for the job they want (or they drop out) and not to mention the incredibly funny situation when the couple realizes they rushed into marriage too much and that they actually don't wanna be together anymore, and it turns out, its sinful to divorce!
Christianity is such mind and life fuck it's insane.
Do old testament prophecies really talk about jesus? If they dont, is that why jews reject jesus?
Anyone else here got religious OCD despite being atheist? Especially if you were religious before? Did leaving your religion help you with your religious OCD?
Anyone here also suffering from religious OCD despite deconstructing? How do you manage it and has it gotten better since you left christianity?
Would you date christian? For me personally, I consider it ideal to not date a christian, but it would also heavily depend on how that person acts. I could absolutely date a christian that has basically no idea what her religion is, brings it up only in context of celebrating holidays like easter and christiams etc. Even if I wanted to date a christian I couldnt because it would be pretty bad for my mental health (unless the said christian is like what i described)
Is this subreddit specifically exchristian, or just excatholic? Like if I came and made post promoting protestantism or orthodoxy and trying to convert people to it would I be banned? And if I made post trashing about other christian denominations, orthodoxy for example, would i be banned?
So is this just for ex catholics that converted to some other denomination or ex christians generally?
Do you fear that you will come back to christianity one day? If you feared it, but don't anymore, how did you overcome this fear?
How do I stop seeking some kind of proof that christianity is 100% false? It just feels like endless research and journey, apologetics always come up with some silly shit, like that when jesus talked about flood he didnt believe its real but simply used as reference for his second coming because those near him knew about the flood.
It sounds incredible cultish and silly when I see christians say "wages of sin is death" no matter for what, even if it's some silly shit.
Like it sounds like shit you would hear from some random desert death cult, I find it even creepy sometimes.
Bible very explicitly claims that global flood happened in genesis 7:4 and genesis 7:19-24 and if it wasn't global flood there would be no need for noah's ark and some local flood couldn't cover mountains

Does bible actually claim that global flood happened? Any verses that are very explicit regarding this?
Im asking because if bible actually claims that it would help me with my deconstruction a lot.
Debating them is so annoying, they all got different interpretations and views of the bible, you are gonna argue with 1 guy and then other guy with completely different view gonna tell you "well actually the bible doesnt say that!"
One guy literally told me "we dont have to justify atrocities of old testament because its all human made bullshit, and most of new testament is probably also human made bullshit and not actual words of jesus, but im still biggest follower of jesus out there!!!"
And another person told me "there are no stonings for working on saturday in old testament" and then i sent verse where god commands moses to stone some person they found working on saturday and i ended up getting downvoted.
