savings for pharmacy school

hi everyone! i’m currently applying to pharmacy schools this cycle. i was looking mainly at schools in california since i’m a ca resident. one of the things i am taking into account is the cost of attendance, especially with the new federal loan cap.

how much should i have saved up before starting to not be absolutely miserable? i plan on taking out a majority of loans (as expected these days) but also wanted to have a good enough cushion of my own savings to fall back on.

d:u wtl stadium lucky draw

hi! does anyone have a picture of what the back of this pc should look like? i’ve tried searching but can’t seem to find what the authentic back looks like. the card itself is very matte and the colors are very muted compared to a real pc, and it doesn’t have the same hole (?) pattern when you hold it up to the light. the material doesn’t feel like the cardstock used in authentic pcs, so i have a suspicion that this might be a replica/lomo.

salons with blowouts for stubborn hair

hi everyone! i’m interested in getting a blowout sometime this month while i’m in sf but my main concern is that i have really stubborn asian hair that can never hold a curl no matter how much heat or hair spray i use. it usually straightens back out after an hour or so.

are there any salons that have experience dealing with this? ideally i’d like something cheaper (under $100) but i’ve also struggled to find someone who could work with my hair so i’d be willing to pay a bit more depending on how good they are

summer itinerary

hi everyone! i’m going to be in sf for a summer internship from june-aug. i’m very type a so i wanted to make a bucket list of spots to go to or things to do since it’ll be my first time in the bay/norcal in general.

currently i have:
- chinatown and japantown
- golden gate bridge/park
- enhypen concert!
- i’m also trying to get last min tickets to the don toliver concert

but in general, i don’t have much planned. i’m a bit of a homebody but i really wanna go out more since i’ll be in a new area and i just turned 21 so i wanna explore the night life a bit. i was mainly hoping to try cafes/resturants or sight see. any recommendations are appreciated 🙏

when is a gap year worth it?

sorry this is lowkey a vent but i applied to one school this cycle and got rejected after being waitlisted, currently trying to decide if i should apply again for 27-28 school year or take a gap year and wait.

i think what killed my application is that i didn’t really have any experience, just a volunteer role for a club event committee (that lasted abt a week) and a research internship that lasted 10 weeks. gpa was a 3.6. don’t know what i was expecting lmao. not much as changed except i got a part time office job and another research internship this upcoming summer. i am considering trying to get a pharm tech job after my research ends, but even if i do i won’t get the license in time to put it on my application for this upcoming cycle.

i want to apply again for this upcoming cycle but i feel like i won’t get in anywhere and will waste all my time, energy, and money. i am considering applying to 8 schools. i think it’s over for me and at this point am desperate to just get in anywhere. i think it may be better to take a gap year to strengthen my application and save some money but i know myself and i won’t want to go back to school if i take a break. the faster i can start working the better.
