The UofA’s strain on Fayetteville
I have family who work with the university and said that there’s 30k more students this year. How is that sustainable on the town? Why are we allowing more than we can fit here? Multiple towns in the area are under water usage warnings and the roads are already jam packed. The construction of MLK and i49 are leagues away from being completed.
So our solution in the meantime is to ruin more forests to build more expensive apartments? And the locals are driven out by the rising costs and students who can’t drive worth a d*mn (from a state I won’t name)
I was born and raised in Fayetteville and in my 29 years I have seen my hometown decline so much it’s depressing
The university’s greed is ruining what made Fayetteville funky
EDIT: Not 30k extra students but more than we should have anyhow
