Bought my first Royale today. I've never been a fan of the stock strap and had an extra adapter to convert it to take 22mm straps.
I'm calling it The Gadget.

I'm calling it The Gadget.
Any tips or tricks from peeps that have the same model? Does the strap get more comfortable? It's pretty stiff right now.
It's kind of a bandolier type of strap. A fake one of course. Kind of like something that someone who was a '80s hair band musician might wear. And that was my favorite music of all time. I know that's dating myself but the strap is just icing on the cake for me. It's got that '80s plain digital but the strap adds that bandolier look so mixing a little Rambo Schwarzenegger '80s vibe works for me.
Started this Sunday thinking I’d wear my new G‑Shock GBD200 with the MIP display. But once I checked the weather — and actually had to run errands in severe thunderstorms — I knew exactly which watch fit the mood. This was the Florida version of Gotham. Dark, stormy, rainy.
So I went into the cave — the bat cave — and pulled out Bizarro Batman. It started life as a blurro with the blue sunburst dial. I added a double‑dome AR sapphire crystal with a blue tint and a ceramic Batman bezel. When it arrived, I realized the colors were upside down, which made the name obvious.Today’s weather made it the perfect choice. Third picture in the background is my Dad's flag I got when he passed away. We were both in the Navy. He was stationed in Key West during the Cuban missile crisis but always told me even though that was going on he had a blast down there.
I have to thank all the members on here who recommended the Jays and Kay's adapter. I saw a bunch on Amazon that were cheaper but I didn't want to cheap out on this setup and I'm very glad I went with them. I'm going to have to give them a five-star review.
Picked this up today. Love how simple and clear it is. I put it on my signature strap which I wear on a lot of watches. It's a gray textured rubber with a black underside. It originally came with a brown leather strap which is nice.
I have a bunch of cheaper casios in my collection. One I just bought has the negative display and I thought it was pretty cool looking until I picked up this watch today. The MIP display is unreal. I thought when I looked at the watch that it was some kind of sticker to show what it would look like with the time on. That's how clear it is. I was looking for a G-Shock that had MIP display and not a whole lot of writing /advertising on it like solar powered radio controlled this that and the other. I just wanted to be able to see the time and the date and have it look as minimal black as possible. The second picture is the same watch but for some reason the picture came out looking great. I already ordered an adapter from Jay and Kays on eBay so I can wear 22 mm straps. It would be great if it was solar powered and had the radio function. But I have one that is solar powered already and another that is a wave cepter. As soon as I figure out how to connect it with my phone, I think the time should be pretty much on the money. But solar would be great.
I purchased an aftermarket gray textured rubber strap with black underneath that peaks out on the side. And has black hardware on the back side. This is like my favorite strap and I own every size for my different watches. I'm liking how it looks on the geriatric shock but the midnight shock is iffy for me. Right now I have the midnight shock on a black expandable nylon strap which is super comfortable and it may be the one I keep it on but I'm going to experiment with a few straps. Do you have any opinions my friends?
This is my favorite Duro mod but it doesn't get enough wrist time. I'm more into rubber these days.
The brown leather strap that came with it is actually very good and I thought about keeping it on the stock strap, but I have this other gray rubber textured strap with black underside that I love to put on other watches so I ended up going with that but the watch will see some other strap swaps in the future.
The strap that came with it is pretty nice I must say. Usually if I buy a Timex or a Casio that will be the first thing I swap out is the strap. But this one is actually pretty sweet. I'm just looking forward to night time when I can use the indiglo feature. That is my favorite thing about Timex watches the indiglo feature like I have on my other Timex the field watch expedition. Which I paired up with black parachute with a thin yellow stripe to match the second hand.
I love this watch with its blue and huge digits. I put it on a blue expandable nylon strap and it is so comfortable. I don't even realize it's on.
I’ve had this Duro setup for a while now, and I’m still blown away by how dramatic the color‑shifting effect is.
I compared it to my other big boy and the time size is about the same just in a square and this one is black and has a light button at the bottom which I really enjoy. And it stays on for a couple seconds after you press it.
This new guy reminds me of a G-Shock that anyone over the age of 50 should check out. It gives off that G-Shock vibe but obviously not as tough, but I'm not having anyone shooting a 100 mile per hour slapshot at me or climbing mountains. The geriatric shock?
This is my 20 year old Yachtmaster on fitted black strap. Recently changed the hands on it.
Upgraded to a black French Para with a yellow stripe. Seconds hand finally has a teammate, and the Indiglo glow feels like arena ice. Named for the hockey heritage that’s been part of my life forever.
