Photographer Request- Niagara Region

Hey everyone!

I’m looking for a photographer in the Niagara Region who’s available on August 9 to photograph our son’s baptism.

We’re just looking for someone to capture the ceremony and take a few family photos afterward. If you’re a photographer or have someone you’d recommend, please drop their info below or send me a DM.

If you have a portfolio or Instagram page, I’d love to check it out. Thanks so much!

From damaged fences to disappearing reviews: our experience with ShutterLux

I wanted to share what happened in our neighbourhood because I think other homeowners should be aware.

Over the past few days, Rolling Meadows was flooded with ShutterLux advertising signs. Even worse, many homeowners discovered that the company had drilled its advertising signs directly into private fences overnight without permission. Numerous fences were left with holes and damage.

Needless to say, people in the neighbourhood are furious. This is not how you earn customers. Damaging private property and using it as advertising without the owner’s consent is unacceptable.

After this happened, many residents posted negative Google reviews describing their experiences, and the company’s rating dropped. Now those reviews appear to have disappeared, and the business is back to an almost perfect 5-star rating. I can’t say why the reviews are gone, but the current rating does not reflect what many homeowners in our neighbourhood experienced.

Our experience has been extremely negative, and based on conversations with neighbours, many people have said they would never do business with this company because of these advertising practices.

Factor Meal Delivery Experience as New Parents — Disappointing and Frustrating

Our son was recently born, and like many new parents, we suddenly had almost no free time. We decided to try meal delivery to make life a little easier during the newborn stage. We chose Factor because they advertise heavily, and honestly, we had a pretty good experience with them about a year ago.
Unfortunately, this time was completely different.
During the first week, while we were still in the hospital, we tried to skip the delivery. Support told us it was already too late because the meals had already shipped. To their credit, they refunded us with account credits, which we appreciated. The meals unfortunately had to be discarded, but at that point we understood it wasn’t really their fault.
The second week was where the real problems started.
The delivery window was Saturday between 8 AM and 8 PM. Instead of FedEx, they used a small delivery company called Antropco. The box arrived around 7:45 PM on a 28°C day after sitting in a hot truck all day. The ice packs were melted and the food was warm and close to spoiled. We did not feel safe eating it, especially with a newborn at home, so once again everything had to be thrown away.
Support again offered account credits instead of a proper refund.
Then came the third week.
They used the same delivery company again. This time the meals were not delivered on Saturday at all. We were told they would arrive “first thing in the morning” the next day. At that point, the food would already have spent about 3 days in transit with only ice packs for cooling.
The next day? Still no delivery.
When we contacted support, the only response we got was reassurance that the delivery company would “keep everything cool.” Based on the condition of the previous deliveries, we honestly did not believe that anymore.
We ended up canceling the subscription, but as you can probably guess, no actual refund was offered — only more account credits to keep us subscribed. After multiple ruined deliveries, that simply made no sense to us.
The result:
wasted food,
wasted time,
extra stress during the newborn stage,
and extra money spent ordering Uber Eats or cooking while exhausted.
It’s especially disappointing because the company honestly wasn’t bad when we used it before. Maybe the issue is the delivery contractor in our area, but the overall experience this time has been extremely frustrating.
