Is it bad that I choose not to workout anymore? (8 months post op)

I (40m) had my MD surgery 8 months ago (L5-S1). All has been amazing since I woke up from the operation, I can happily say I'm pain free.

But I did realise I can still get a flare up if I push it too much.

I've had two flare ups since, the first was a big scare. I thought I had re-herinated, I was at the gym 2 months post op. Doc said "no limits" after the check in call, so I tried working on my core with barbell squats, no weight, just the bar. I felt a weird feeling in my leg and flared up pretty bad after that.

I've learned that the nerve is still angry, I had sciatica for 4 years, so it was probably pretty damaged. I only found out what it actually was after 3 years of pain. I think I kept aggravating it by gyming all the time and never really let the disc heal I guess..

So basically, my theory is, maybe it's best for now, if I just stick to walking, and some stretches/planking? And quit the gym for at least the next year?

Or is it essential to go to the gym and do PT sessions and big core workouts? I just want to make sure I'm doing the right thing. Need advice.

How did these guys see me? I'm so confused..

I had 3 crappy sessions in a row of my game last night.

It's like these guys could see me through the walls! They somehow keep meeting up and wiping me out.

My in-game mic was off so it wasn't that they could hear my audio to me.

I'm purely just PvE and love to chill in solos. But honestly, every session lately feels like players team up in solos, just to just kill mindlessly. It sucks any joy out of the game for me.

A great example of respect = reward in Arc Raiders. Instead of just killing people.

Plus I made a good buddy, fun times!

I had the MD surgery 8 months. It's been great! But I've learned I still get flare ups. Need advice.

I suffered with Sciatica pain for 4 years. Since I woke up from surgery (L5-S1 Microdicecomy) the sciatica nerve pain was completely gone, and it's been amazing since! But I have learned that the nerve is still angry and may flare up.

The first flare up post op was when I tried going back to the gym after 2 months, the doc said "no limits, go back to normal life" so I tried barbell squats again to work on my core, I had no weights on it, just the bar. Then I felt a weird twang and knew something happened. I'm pretty sure it was the nerve.

Next thing I know, I had a flare up for a few weeks, at first I was in a bit of a panic thinking I re-herinated, but no, turns out it is normal and the nerve still needs time to heal. Things went back to normal, no pain and happy life.

And now I've had another flare up, this one happened by working too much in my office job and not resting enough. I'm an artist for Marvel and I took on a larger project that requires more of my time than usual, so I'd work days and nights at my computer. I have a standing desk and would switch from sitting and standing every 25 mins.

This flare up is bad though, from my butt down through my leg feels like it's on fire, a bit of numbness too. But not that usual sharp pain in the back that I used to get before I got the MD surgery. This is just the nerve being inflamed and angry, no building disc pushing on it.

Anyways, I wanted to get some advice from anyone else who may have experienced these kind of flare ups post MD surgery? Do you think I have permanent nerve damage and will always need to take it easy? I heard it takes a year for the nerve to fully heal, will these flare ups stop?

Has anyone ever bought one of these to help your pain? Is it worth getting?

I've been looking into these to help with flare ups, a lot of reviews said these are great. I just wanted to see what people thought here. I'm hoping to avoid dodgy devices or rip offs.

This low taper fade haircut, which style is best here, when adding product? 1 or 2?

I'd like to know which way to style this hairstyle.

I was about to leave, with less than 2 mins left 'til the bombs drop.. but I couldn't leave a fellow raider behind. This was intense!

I had been doing Trials and racked up some good points, I was honestly happy to risk it all here though.

I pulled off a super smooth Assessor run, cleared all 3 and zipped straight to extract.

Usually I'm dead in the first few tries haha, but I just wanted to share this successful run :) Peace!

In this current time, which young rising actor/actress can match the natural comedic genius of these 3?

I'm just curious, I can't think of anyone who has that natural comedic flare.

Rocketeer Driver farming (for Wolfpack trial), my fun and easy way.

- Setup close to the hatch.

- Zipline to and from the vantage point.

- Barricade on the peak of mountain for extra cover.

- Lots of cover in the building structure for the main battle. 100% success rate.
