Cross platform searching

Hello,

I know that you can find and/or purchase other content through the other DriveThruRPG sites - I posted 2 adventures to DTRPG, and a few downloads have been through DMsGuild for instance. What I don't understand, however, is I cannot search for my adventures in DMsGuild. They don't show up.

I figured how it worked is if it is marked as D&D (Especially 5e) then they show it in the DMsGuild database as well. If they can't find it via search, how are people buying it through the other sites anyway??

I'm sure this has been answered before, but now I'm wondering if "going wide" and publishing on DriveTHru, Ko-fi, itchio was a mistake.

PWYW one-shot for 2nd-level characters: a missing shipment leads to a forgotten temple.

This introductory adventure has literally been in the making for years. My first draft was over a year and a half ago now, I believe. The I learned about homebrewery, aimed for a release, got feedback, reformatted and designed it 3-4 times. Made other adventures, then came back to this one for the last reform (adding encounter blocks and the like).

Here we are. A PWYW 2nd level one shot to get new players into the campaign, or to begin a new campaign which I'll be working on for the next few months.

Please let me know what you think!

Is there data on customer product use? Can we get it or make polls?

I've finally got a few products up, and people are downloading/buying them. I'm so grateful, but now I'm curious how many people are actually A) Reading them B) Running them C) Running them multiple times?

Is there any old posts, articles, or reports on customer use from DriveThruRPG, DMsGuild, and the like?

Anyone try to poll this information themselves?

What about you? When you get a product, what are the odds you'll

  1. Never open it
  2. Read it
  3. Run it
  4. Run it a few times

I've been mostly getting free or PWYW stock art and adventures. I'm trying to make a point to read each adventure to learn, as I don't get to play much, I doubt I'll run more than a few of them. As for the art, I'd say I try to "read" them, but I haven't "run" any into my own work yet.

Do we know if we can use warcraft after release?

With new official world of Warcraft content coming from WotC soon, do we have an expectation that some of the content will be usable for products on the guild?

It seems like most other recent publications of settings have offered us some work allowances but obviously with Blizzards it being their IP this is a little trickier and less certain.

Anyone got a quote anywhere?

Had my first sales

More of an excited splurge here. My barbarian subclass I published got some actual buys despite being PWYW. Very honored. Feel free to check it out. I have a few adventures in the works, one with Modrons and such that'll hit DMsGuild probably in less than a month.

Path of the Shattered Mind

Took a stab at a psychic barbarian modeled a bit after Berserker since they're strong but PHB. I wanted the main feature to give a AoE option, but I think it may still be a bit strong on the output, and a bit over damaging on the self damage.

What do you think of half damage to self? What do you think of level 14's buffs (which I need to rename to Improved Mind Quake), too strong? 25ft aoe psychic damage is a lot.

Another new publish price question

I have two one-shots nearly ready to publish. They're both generic D&D. I could publish in Drive thru but I plan on doing DMsGuild for a more targeted audience.

They have slightly customized monsters, magic items, some riddles/puzzles, a few combats each. One has a hand drawn map. I'll likely keep creative common art/photos for covers for now. About 14 pages each. Price suggestions?

I've seen plenty of posts any PWYW vs fixed price and I appreciate this subs input. One is the opening to a planned campaign, any value in making that PWYW?

Excited for my first published!
