What I hope the next Elite looks like

I know Elite V is a big, BIG "if" at this point, given ED barely makes any money, but I feel like the engine is really holding the game back from what Frontier wanted it to be. I've looked at other games like SpaceEngine and modded KSP to put together a look at what a future Elite could look like with modern graphical techniques.

F-14 Tomcat (384333734)

I decided to do an F-14 themed livery on a 2017 Ford GT, mostly just because of the twin exhaust placement lending itself to a fighter jet vibe.

Is there a stationary/custom camera mod for cinematic replays?

I’d love to be able to do things like:

-Have a trackside camera that can follow cars (or remain static)

-Change the anchor point of the replay camera to any car in the race

Pulled this from a TV camera. An idea how I might drive this?

It has 7 pins on the back, but the 5th pin isn’t connected. (The black wire on the other end of the connector isn’t harnessed to the rest)

The deflection coils have 4 wires, and the screen is around 3x4 inches.

It has an external anode (it’s just on the other side of the tube)

Sadly I likely don’t have the original driver board anymore, and I can’t find any schematics or documentation. Is it still possible to figure out the correct voltages and drive the tube, because I think it could look super cool mounted in a custom housing.

RAF F-86 Sabre Jet (114681724)

I tried out an RAF livery, it better fits the XJ220 being British, but I still kinda prefer the bare aluminum look of the USAF paint scheme.

I tried doing an RAF paint scheme, but the camouflage didn't look as good on the XJ220 as the bare aluminum.

How do I build a stable voltage source in Power Grid?

I need a way to generate up to 3 kilowatts that maintains a constant 120 volts regardless of the load/power draw. Can someone help, because I've been trying to figure this out for over a month.

Does anyone have an unedited version of Joel’s Bugs Bunny ear destruction moment?

I wasn’t able to catch the stream, and all the clips on YouTube seem to have a hard limit on volume. Is there a way I can experience the actual unrestrained volume for myself?

In 2022 I took a trip to Japan. I recreated some of my photos in FH6, and here are the results.

The devs definitely did their research!

My first ever batch!

Got it cut super thin, so I went a little too long on the dehydrating. It’s still delicious though.

Is a Super Benriner good for cutting jerky?

I’m trying out homemade jerky for the first time, and I want to do really thin jerky with along-the-grain cuts (partially frozen.)

Is a Super Benriner mandolin sturdy enough to do the cuts?
