Started August 9th, is this purging?

Hello everyone! I started 50mg of spironolactone on August 9th. I take it at night because I do get a bit dizzy on it. Is this purging? I feel like every day I have a new painful pimple. They're even in my hairline at the nape of my neck. It's very frustrating because I have a very forward facing job (teacher) so I have to be infront of teenagers all day with these big giant zits! I'm pale too so they really stick out. I started using benzoyl peroxide wash (4%) and spot treatment (2.5%) to try and combat them. Will this end soon?

33F - Goth, Witchy, Teacher

I'm new to this subreddit so I may have chosen the wrong tag! I'm sorry if I did. I'm 33F, in MA. I'm looking for other witchy, goth, people who love music, nature, and art. I'm trying to make friends and get out of my house! I'm a teacher currently, and I would love to also meet other teachers. :)

I love thrifting, crafting, urban exploration, music, singing, eating (haha), vintage jewelry, science, literature and so much more.

I'm looking forward to meeting other like-minded people! :) Preferably in MA but I'm fine with long distance friends as well! Tell me about your state or country! :3

Help! First time having monsters plants!

Hello everyone! I have this beautiful monster plant but I noticed several things recently. One, it grew into the pot of another plant and started rooting and two, it has big dry areas. What should I do? Should I trim the dead leaves and the root? I don't want to kill it! Does it need a larger pot?

Thank you!!

Acne?

Hello everyone! Does anyone else suffer from terrible jawline acne? I was recently switched to Slynd (which is causing migraines and headaches.... and I already have chronic migraine...). That's in an effort to combat the endometriosis and terrible acne. However I saw a dermatologist today and she prescribed spironolactone... I refuse to take both Slynd AND spironolactone because they are both involved with blood potassium levels and can cause hypokalemia. Which can KILL you. Has anyone taken Slynd or spironolactone? Which did you feel worked best? I used to be on norethindrone.

I'm just very tired of the acne. It's destroying my face.

Thank you!

Food Elimination?

I found a video on foods that mimic thyroid peroxidase and cause hashimoto's to get worse, here: https://youtu.be/zJXjewr-bo8?si=TzPYoD05VFwuLrq1

What I was wondering is; is it possible to still eat some dairy? I feel better without gluten and I don't eat cod, mushrooms, lentils, or peas. Has anyone tried a diet with some dairy and felt better?

I've gone off my super restrictive diet because it was wearing me out trying to only eat a small group of foods. But I then lost all my energy, my skin is bad, and my nails started breaking again (I do take iron and Vitamin D3).

Just diagnosed, help!

For years I've had lots of different symptoms, and finally after dealing with GERD and having an endoscopy and lots of bloodwork I was diagnosed by an endocrinologist with Hashimotos. What's frustrating is that she said because my TSH is normal, she won't put me on anything. The issue is, I have lots of extreme symptoms from it. The most extreme is the hairless, inflammed skin, and joint pain. Is there anything that is all natural that people have done? I've already been changing my diet and losing weight but the inflammation is out of control.

I'm at my wits end. My thyroid has done this for years, since my late 20s. I'm now 33. 😭

▲ 12 r/GERD

Hello Everyone, I'm 33F.

I was recently diagnosed with GERD after suffering for months and losing 32lbs. It's been terrible. I've been on omeprazole, pepcid, tums, Gaviscon... OTC antacid (liquid). Sometimes it's fine and I don't notice it all day (mainly at work, when I'm working with students). At night is when the flares come. Bloating, belching, globulus sensation... I had an endoscopy April 6th. They biopsied some polyps (from inflammation) and dilated my esophagus because inflammation had caused swelling. No EoE, no H.Pylori, and no celiac disease. I'm still working on finding my food triggers (I notice a lot of belching AND breakouts when I eat dairy).

My question is - are there exercises or movements that help with the globulus sensation and bloating at night? Anything that has helped people?

Thank you! I feel miserable and tired all the time. I wake up with a sore throat and hoarseness almost every day, and laying down causes me pain and anxiety.
