Locals Only Sub

Hey, I need some help setting up a locals only subreddit please :)

If anyone out there will help me co mod the thing, I’d appreciate it.

Obviously, you must be a local, be able to prove it, and plan to live here for the foreseeable future.

Thank you!

Depoo Hospital

If you have a loved one who is suicidal, do not send them to Depoo. I went in a week ago voluntarily for suicidal ideation. The first few days were ok and I was starting to feel better. Then they randomly moved me to another floor that was very loud with constant loud bangs that triggered my PTSD. Charge nurse Nina lied to me and said there were no available quieter rooms away from the noise. She threatened me to force me into a chair in front of the nurses station (where the noise was worse), guilt tripped me and told me the dr took away my nicotine lozenges because I asked for one. She told me if I asked for my prescribed Ativan that he’d take that away too and told me that I either had to take all my meds or get none of them (this was a lie). I was not given my medication. Nurse ratchett (Nina) laughed at me, guilt tripped me and threatened me while I was having a nervous breakdown from the PTSD. They made no attempt to calm me, move me to a quieter area and stopped giving me my meds, claiming I was refusing them. I was not refusing them.

I spoke to Dr G the psychiatrist for about a minute a day on the phone via FaceTime of the social workers cell phone. This morning he told me that there was a quieter rooms available and that he did not discontinue my nicotine or Ativan prescriptions. I told him I was still very much suicidal but that my condition was worsening rapidly. He discharged me anyway without letting me eat or take my medication this morning. I drove 2.5 hours home shaking, crying and having a nervous breakdown. I’m home now but I’m much worse off than I was a week ago when I was admitted. They let me drive knowing it’s very possible that I will hurt myself.

The nursing staff seemed to get off on antagonizing sick patients. They made fun of them. The security guard who escorted me out called me names and insulted me the entire way to the door.

You and your loved ones are not safe here. I am in much worse condition now than I was when I went in.

I was hoping to get help through the intensive outpatient treatment program but was thrown out on my ass and not given any options for continued treatment.

I know there are not a lot of options for behavioral health care in the Florida Keys. But this hospital should never be on your list of options. They are medical malpractice, Nina is a liability.

Please don’t recommend or use this facility. It will leave you in much worse shape than you went in with. If this post can help just one person, it will be considered successful.

I’m not asking for advice and please keep judgements and insults to yourself. Thank you.

Manager Drug Testing Ques

A store manager of a cvs in my area got high in a public place this weekend and wound up being carried away on a stretcher to the hospital where he spent the night sleeping off the high and being assessed for a concussion after he fell off a stool and bumped his head on the floor. He was so intoxicated that a single hit off a joint left him babbling and unable to get off the floor.

My question for CVS is will his employer, because they are also his insurer, drug test or fire him for doing illicit drugs (weed is not recreational here) during his off time because they have access to his medical records? If cvs finds out, will he lose his job?

It was only marijuana, it was not laced with anything.

Thank you.
