I want to change my plate from SOFETCH to something else.

I want to change my plate from SOFETCH to something else.

Turns out Regina was right. Fetch is not going to happen.

I’ve had SOFETCH on my license plate for a while, but I am losing my mind because non-believers keep asking me:

"Is 'Sof-Etch' a glass etching company?"

"What does 'Soft-Tech' mean?"

"Is Sofetch your last name?"

Raise your hand if you have ever been personally victimized by people missing an iconic reference.

It’s time to retire it and get a new Mean Girls themed plate. The maximum length is 7 characters.

Give me your funniest, most absurd recommendations so I can go file the paperwork on a Wednesday.

These are the best pop rocks

Works out to $0.41 per pouch and damn, these are the best pop rocks. I saw some place selling name brand pop rocks for $2.00 and hands down these dollarama ones are much better and cheaper.

Fairfield without complimentary breakfast.

Looking at hotels near Disneyland California and I noticed this Fairfield was extremely pricey (always around $300/night) but noticed in Hotel Messages - as shown in this screenshot - it says this hotel does not include breakfast, even though most Fairfields do include breakfast.

So, my guess is that the location is such a prime location that it doesn't need to offer freebies, it can pick and choose what it wants to offer, regardless of brand.

Why not just rebrand into another Marriott chain that doesn't offer breakfast? Does anyone else know of another breakfast included brand that opts not to offer breakfast?

Just curious is all.

Residence Inn downtown Toronto (Newly renovated)

I stay at this hotel a couple of times per year and this was my first time here since they renovated. It was also my first time staying in a Residence Inn with this new decor. Not sure if this is the future of Residence Inns but I really liked the new look. Bright, airy, modern.

Unfortunately though, they did not renovate the bathroom.

Mirvish Productions in September

Hey folks

I'm going to visit Toronto from Sept 10th - Sept 14th, so I thought I'd check to see what's playing at Mirvish. However, it looks like nothing is in the calendar from August 30th until September 23rd.

& Juliet and Mama Mia both finish August 30th, and then Hell's Kitchen starts September 23rd. Are they leaving this three week gap with the plan to extend Mama Mia and & Juliet?

Best bang for my 21,000 Tim points?

I married a Newfoundlander, so I'm at Tim Horton's far too often. I've racked up a bunch of points but I'm wondering what the best value would be to use them? If you had over 21,000 points what would your redemption choice be?

And yes, I often forget to spend them so I normally have points that expire every month.

I haven't ordered an ice capp in like 10 years but lately all my weekly offers are for them. So annoying.

I'm going to DLP for the first time, from Nov 23-25th 2026.

Since I might find myself back in Europe in Oct 2027, I thought buying an annual pass for my trip this fall would make the most sense. I just want to make sure I understand the logistics of using it.

Since I live in Canada, I understand that I'll need to buy the pass at the gate. I will also need to wait until I enter the park before I reserve my next few days. So, if I enter the park on Nov 23rd with my newly issued pass, then I can book Nov 24th and Nov 25th.

Do I have this right? Is it a high possibility that when I go to book my dates after I have entered that the dates might be sold out? Anything else I'm missing? I already checked the calendar and my dates in November do not have any black outs and I'm okay with one park per day on the cheapest annual pass.
