I think I know the answer but is this product junk?

Planning a kitchen Reno and was going to put Schulter Ditra heat under the slate. Saw this as I was walking through Menards, it’s on clearance and I’m assuming at this price point it probably junk? Anyone ever used it or know anything about it?

Buying Morsø 6143 and shipping to US?

“In theory” if I could somehow get this stove from Denmark to the US, would this be a good buy? I know these are sold in the US but tend to be pricey stoves. What kind of issues would I have if I brought this used stove over to the US and tried to set it up? 7,000 DKK is about $1k USD btw.

Did my own panel swap, any obvious issues?

I still have to get service entry clamps for the 10/3 and 6/3 as well as secured the romex outside of the box. I may use wago lever nuts to extend the two lines that barely reached. I know current code requires AFCI and GFCI breakers but they are the bane of my existence, always trouble in my rental properties with Siemens panels. Otherwise how does it look for someone’s first try whose full time job is paramedic. Feel free to just absolutely roast me too. I have a newfound respect for all these clean organized panel pics I see!

Water not over plates?

I bought this replacement battery for my generator after the original went bad in less than 100 days. My old battery was sealed but I popped the cap off and noticed it had gone dry and there was lots of corrosion. I popped the new one open and it is brand new but still water is below the plates. I’m thinking I should add distilled water until it covers the plates, right?

Yes I know this is a Chinese battery, unfortunately the generator has a special battery box and these are the only batteries that fit. I tried a standard replacement.

I think I’m ready to buy a new panel and call the electric company to pull my meter, advice before I begin?

Hi all, picture attached for reference. I bought a 60’s era ranch home with a Square D panel box. Over the years it has become an absolute mess with very little labeling/identifying. I finally got everything identified and labeled. I’m going to buy a 4x8 sheet of plywood and a new Square D QO 42 space panel and redo the entire thing. Some of these circuits aren’t even tied to anything anymore. Anything I should be mindful of before I start this process? Thanks in advance for the advice!

I’m also going to be putting in an interlock and running an outdoor plug for a generator.

2009 Lincoln Nav for $900 that needs timing chains worth buying, and advice on the work?

I do a lot of DIY car work, last winter changed the timing belt/tensioner and water pump on my 2019 Ridgeline. Wondering if buying this Navigator with a 5.4 is worth $900 or if I am getting over ambitious. Thanks in advance for the advice!

Advice on excavating the half of my basement that is still crawlspace?

Here is the link to images of said crawlspace in question: https://imgur.com/a/tOAm0Fy

I have a 1600sqft 1960s era ranch with half of it sitting on a basement with concrete slab, the other half is split with a block wall and it is crawl space with a dirt floor. It starts at almost full height and tapers to about 4ft at the lowest point. Currently it is used for bulky storage. My plan is to excavate small areas of the footer at a time and set forms and pour a new footer under the existing footer, rinse and repeat.

After finishing all the footers I would set new center supports by pouring a footer and installing permanent floor posts to replace the block columns.

Finally I would set forms for pouring finished walls around the entire perimeter, and then pour a floor.

Any reason this wouldn’t work or be a good idea? Obviously you would have to work in small sections and not dig to close to the footers until ready to dig under and reinforce. They say no less than a 45° angle for digging towards the footers to ensure proper support.

I ordered this AC compressor for a 2014 GMC Sierra, the one I ordered is model# 75AS18A. They sent me this one with model #75AS17C. They somehow follow the same part no. This one has r1234yf and I need r134a. My research shows GMC didn’t even start using the new refrigerant in the sierra until 2017. I used the self service portal but since the part number matches they don’t care about anything else and want me to pay $35 to return this one and reorder the new one. No thanks, I filed a dispute with my bank. Maybe they will actually reach out and I can fix this. I know for a fact Rock Auto used to have a customer service email.
