The fringe theory about Grace and the clones makes the most sense for the story

>!sorry about the click bait title, just didn't want to spoil !<

___

>!The theory that Grace IS a clone still makes the most sense. My thoughts are that she was a clone just like Chloe before her, and Emily and Marie after her, but was injected with Elpis. Because of this, she is the first, and apparenlty only, successful blood memory experiment test subject.!<

>!This, to me, explain:!<

>!- why she never gets infected despite being bitten by the police guard (and yes t-virus transmits via bites, as we see when leon is running through wrenwood streets after Victor and Grace. If you hang around, some victims of zombies soon get up and become zombies themselves). She also doesn't get infected despite swimming in pools infected blood with an open wound either!<

>!- she looks the part. Victor thought she was, the connections thought she was. The kicker is, Spencer had access to her as an orphan. Well, which orphanage? Maybe, the ones he's doing clone experiments in? Sure, coincidence. But what's the more simple explanation? Iirc Spencer calls her his hope.. just like he calls Elpis.!<

>!- she knew the password. I mean come on, even if she inferred from the clues it was hope, it still could have been "h0p3!115" or some bullshit, but she got it in one. Evidence to me that she's a cured clone with spencers blood memory!<

>!- this doesnt relate too much, but why are we staring at the wheelchair in ARK for, eh?!<

>!If she's not, as the mainstream thought seems to be, and just a normal girl as Spencer, whose known to never tell lies or misdirect, says then we just have a girl who was taken in by Spencer as an orphan and looks like a clone, *but isn't one of Spencer's orphanage clones*, knew the password first attempt through some clues and a lot of luck, and is immune to t-virus, because... plot..? Everything, then, is just a really coincidental red herring that no one but some capcom writer intended to throw us. Well i say, they threw too hard, csuse it makes more sense than the supposed truth. !<

>!I know it could easily go either way, capcom will do wherever capcom will do. Vital organs and all that. But Grace being an Elpis injected clone is the theory im running with until we're told one way or another, because it's the simplest explanation of what happens. !<

It might have been my first resident evil, but I found this game absolutely amazing!

It's rare for me to find a game that truly engages me, to the point where I'm instantly starting a new campaign after finishing, but re9 was it from the start. The only other games to really do this to me are doom and monster hunter, so I've officially become a fan.

Truth be told, I almost quit near the start as i wasn't handling the horror elements very well (never dabbled in the genre before), but around the east wing something clicked, I figured out how to relax into the game and was absolutely engaged. It was all I could think about some days at work and shit lmao.

I absolutely loved Grace's sections by the end. They were such a joy. I played on standard modern, but felt like i probaby had more ammo than needed. >!By the end of the campaign i had 65 bullets, 5 injectors, 3 acids, 2 molotovs, 3 bottles, 3 knives, 5 scrap, 300 blood, and all the rest of the items. And that was after killing every licker and zombie in ARK, though i was medium conservative in the care centre and basement. I felt a little like Leon by the end tbh.. not sure if resources tighten up on classic?!<

The leon sections were fun, for a change. >!Mopping up care centre was a real treat and playing sniper to help grace was fun. Some sections were quite frustrating in the second half like when the zombies are firing mortars on the rooftops, or those fucking elite guards (before i realised there was a licker i could release in them). I also couldnt understand why grace could 1 shot multiple lickers ez-pz with 1 empty bottle and 1 acid bottle, but leon was getting into a scrap with them. His sections were also devoid of horror, which i was finally coming around to, but i appreciated them still. Ultimately, i figured the aim of both playstyles was 'this encounter is a puzzle and you need to figure out how the devs intend for you to solve it', and i enjoyed that quite a lot..!<

It was my first resident evil, but by the way this sub talks about it, it's apparently fairly average. So hit me with your recommendations, which ones should I play next (ps5, or switch). Which ones are more grace than leon?

Is this compliant?

1.5mm tps run on uninsulated pergola for bayonet light fittings. (Fittings will go where loops are obviously). 10A breaker/rcd for whole light circuit

Is that compliant? As long as its double insulated

I'm an electrician but god its been a long time since ive done any normal electrical work. Everything i work on now requires a laptop and some expensive automation software

What is the toughest Doom game since 2016? Can you rank them?

As title i would love to see some opinions on how people think the nu-Doom games stack up to one another in difficulty.

For me, i need to go back and replay eternal and 2016, so my opinion could be way off, but my impression is

(For Ultra Violence only) Tag1 > eternal > tag 2 > revelations > 2016 > dark ages (which is actually my favourite)

Would love up hear what some of you think

What exactly is our beef with Xal'Goroth

Why do we want him dead? Why does he want us dead? What is he imprisoned for and by whom?

Sorry in advance if i missed a codex entry

Is Monster Hunter your favourite game series?

Honestly, for me it absolutely is. Out of the modern 3 games, i struggle to even put them in any kind of order cause i like them for what they bring independently to each other.

Is it yours? If so, what other series do you like? Personally all I can really think that id be a fan of is

  • doom (2016, eternal, dark ages)
  • zelda
  • 2d metroid

I play a LOT of games outside of these 3 series, but nothing that would make me actually get excited for a future release (And even zelda is hit or miss). Surely there's a gap here and im hoping some other fans of monster hunter can tell me where it is (is it elden ring?)

If monster hunter isn't your favourite series, what is? How does monster hunter compare?

Are there any fights in base Wilds you couldn't complete?

As we move into the DLC, are there any fights you're leaving behind?

I consider myself pretty good at this game. I got 'A' rank on all the free time trials and plenty of the other trials, and compete most quests including proof of a hero with multiple / different weapons (favourites being gunlance and LBG). But i do have a confession, there's two battles i couldn't complete.

The first is 10* gog. I've only tried it once, and I'm aware of the farcaster trick, so was going to go with that if i didn't hit dps check. I was about 20 mins in and after my first farcaster i just thought to myself "wow, what a load of bullshit" and quit. To me, that's not monster hunter. Farcasting out to avoid dps nukes and getting the win in the 40 min zone? No thanks. Absolute kudos to any of you that can make the dps check in that fight (solo / support), but i know for a fact im never going to be able to. It's sometimes tight enough on 9* so no chance at 10*. So i quit it and proceeded to pretend it didn't exist.

The second is Savage. I tried it about 10 times and for the most part the fight is fine, but i could not for the life of me hit the dps check. The one time i did the support hunters didn't quite cut the mustard in fulfilling the roles (especially healing me when i was tanking). The reason i didn't persevere is because nothing tilts me more than spending 10-20mins on a repetitive and fairly easy fight just to lose to a two fucking minute fucking dps fucking check. It'd be fine if it was at the start or something but putting it towards the end just crushes me. Not my thing, but definitely a "me" problem.

But... i feel fine about leaving these two quests behind. Im not a completionist, and the rest of the endgame was great. I particularly enjoy proof of a hero, i wish there was a time trial for it

Are you leaving any quests behind?

This game is actually quite fun

I bought ghost of tsushima on deep sale way back before i first tried God of war, which i proceeded to hate and thought was boring. For some reason my experience with GoW told me to expect much the same of GoT (maybe due to the over the shoulder camera? Idk). The internet also confirmed this. I saw reports of "it's the prettiest mediocre game", "it's repetitive", "boring", "it's just fox shrines and the same side quest over and over", "basic/repetitive combat". Im usually a 'gameplay first' kinda gamer, and I pretty much only like doom, monster hunter, and legend of zelda, so any complaint that's hints at a game being boring is a massive red flash for me, and it really put me off ever trying this game.

Well, recently I did decide to play this game, and tbh i really like it. The combat is pretty fun, the world feels engaging, i like switching between being an assassin and straight hands, which to me makes it feel like I've got two different but overlapping combat systems. I won't go too much into reviewing it because you are the choir, but at the very least it seems like a fun game so far, with a definite focus on gameplay and not just an interactive movie type that people sometimes say it is. Not a hot take for many, given the popularity of this game, but that's my two cents

One criticism i do see is that people complain the game drags or overstayed its welcome after the first or second island? I'm still on the first, and i can see how that might happen. There's already what feels like a full games worth to explore just on island 1. Any tips for avoiding burnout, or are people that make those complaints overstating it and are the same types that need subway surfers playing in the background of any videos over 45 seconds?

Dark Ages Weapon Tier List

As title says, what's your weapon tier list in doom dark ages? Ive done a handful of playthroughs now, maining different weapons each time, and this time its been accelerator and dreadmace, and

Holy

Fucking

Shit

These things are so fucking powerful. Two swings with a dreadmace? Demon dead. And accelerator for bosses when its super charged literally melts health bars.

I'm also a big fan of super shotgun (obviously) and shredder (shield bash > shield throw > shoot till glowing > pull shield back.. usually does most things in pretty quick). Impaler is good but requires too much actual skill. Early on the chainshot was good but it's kinda fallen off late game. Grenade launcher is a Meme weapon I'd only use for self imposed challenge runs. Ive never given pulveriser, ravager, rocket launcher a good go. Keep killing myself with the rocket launcher lol. Cycler is meh.

What stands out for you

▲ 3 r/capcom

Recently got the Kunitsu-Gami + okami bundle. Im a big fan of most capcom games but especially monster hunter (with like 300 hours in wilds alone), street fighter, and the legend of zelda oracles games so i was riding on a lot of capcom brand trust buying the bundle

Unfortunate, Kunitsu-Gami bored the hell out of me. I persevered, but it wasnt for me. It was somehow too boring and then randomly too difficult at the end (sorcerer cheese all the way). I wasnt a fan of the solo combat mechanics, and the flexible tower defence portion didnt feel strong enough be satisfactory.

I have, though, heard things about okami. I was excited to start it up. But boy has it been a slog. I just unlocked the cherry bloom brush skill and I genuinly have no idea whats ahead of me still. I feel like ive spent a few hours doing nothing. Combat is simple button mashing > brush skill, and adventuring is brain dead. But I cant tell if im bored, or still frustrated from Kunitsu-Gami and seeing the crossover.

Can someone put me to rest? Is a great game ahead of me, or if it hasnt clicked by now should i move on? Thinking pragmata next...
