Cannondale / Scott

Cannondale Synapse Carbon 4 vs Scott Addict 40 — which one would you choose?

I’m hesitating between the Cannondale Synapse Carbon 4 and the Scott Addict 40 (2026).

For those who know these bikes, which one do you think offers the best value for money?

I’m mainly interested in the overall quality of the bike, components, comfort, look, performance, warranty and after-sales service.

I have several shops near me with both bikes in stock, so I can also see and test them before making my decision.

Which one would you go for, and why?
Thanks!

Scott Addict 30 or 40

Hello,

I’ve been looking for a bike for quite some time, and the Scott Addict (30 or 40) really ticks all the boxes for me.

The Addict 40 would cost me €2,650 and the Addict 30 €3,250. Which one would you recommend choosing? Are there any differences between the two besides the wheels?

Will these models also receive new colours in September, or does that only concern the Addict Gravel?

I’m 175 cm tall with a 79 cm inseam. Which size would you recommend for me? I’ve tried both sizes in-store, but some people recommend a size M while others recommend a size S.

Thank you very much!

Synapse Carbon 51 or 54

Hi everyone,

I’m looking at getting a Cannondale Synapse Carbon 2026 and I’m hesitating between the 51 and 54.
I’m 175 cm tall with a 79 cm inseam. I’m looking for a comfortable endurance position and I’m not sure which size would be the better choice for me.

I’ve seen that I’m right around the overlap between the two sizes, so I’d really appreciate some advice from people with similar measurements.

For those of you who have a Synapse, would you recommend the 51 or the 54 at 175 cm / 79 cm?

Thanks!

Bike price

Hi everyone,

I bought a Cube Nuroad SLX in size M, model year 2026, back in July.

I’ve since realized that it was an impulsive purchase and that I probably won’t actually get into gravel riding.

The bike has less than 100 km on it and is in excellent condition. I’ve been trying to sell it for €1,500 for the past two weeks (I paid €1,850 in Strasbourg), but I haven’t had any serious interest so far.

What do you think it’s realistically worth on the used market? Do you think €1,500 is too high, or should I lower the price?

And does anyone know if bike shops or other professionals would buy it back?

Thanks!

Trek Domane Sl 5 gen 4

Hi everyone,

I absolutely love the look of the Domane SL 5 Gen 4. If anyone has pictures of the Ivy Smoke Green color, I’d really appreciate it!

I’ve heard that the Gen 5 is coming soon, but I actually prefer the Gen 4 because of the integrated storage compartment in the frame.

One thing I’m confused about is the weight. Trek lists it at 9.09 kg with the stock wheels, but in almost every review people say it’s actually over 10 kg and feels quite heavy. How is that possible? Does anyone know the real weight of the bike in its stock configuration?

I’ve also read about the seatpost slipping and the creaking noises. Are these issues easy to fix, or are they recurring problems? I find that a bit concerning.
Is there a good alternative to this bike in the same category?

And finally, for those of you who own one, what’s your overall experience? Would you buy it again?

Thanks!

Trek checkpoint sl 6 gen 3

Hey everyone!
I’m seriously thinking about getting a Trek Checkpoint, so I figured I’d ask the people who actually ride one.

I’m looking for one bike that can do pretty much everything: light bikepacking, long endurance rides, and fast road rides. I’ll probably be riding around 70% road and 30% gravel, so I’m wondering if the Checkpoint is the right choice for that kind of riding.
How has yours been? Anything you love or wish you’d known before buying?

I’m also curious about the SRAM AXS electronic shifting. I’ve never owned an electronic groupset before. Is it one of those things you can’t live without once you’ve tried it, or is charging the battery more of a hassle than it’s worth?

Comfort is my biggest priority. I’m 175 cm tall with an 79 cm inseam, so if anyone around my size rides a Checkpoint, I’d love to know what size you chose and how it fits.

One last thing… I have to admit I’m not a huge fan of the current colour options (green/white). Based on previous Trek releases, is there any chance we’ll see new colours in the near future ?

Thanks in advance! Looking forward to hearing your experiences before I make the jump.

Cube Nuroad Slx hpa 2026

Hey everyone!

I'm looking to buy my first gravel bike and could really use some sizing advice. I've narrowed it down to the Cube Nuroad SLX 2026 (HPA, Aluminium frame).

**My riding plans:** Mostly road-based with some light gravel thrown in - thinking 80% road, 20% light gravel roads/tracks. Nothing too wild, no single trails or anything like that.

**My measurements:**

* Height: 176cm
* Inseam (barefoot, book method): 79.5cm
* Wingspan (fingertip to fingertip): 188cm

The online calculator puts me right between S and M, which isn't super helpful!

I keep hearing "when in doubt, size down" but I'm wondering if I'd just end up needing a longer stem anyway with the smaller frame. What are your thoughts?

Here is a comparison between the two sizes: [https://bikeinsights.com/compare?geometries=68b9395e1e3c5e001b309ce2,68b9395e1e3c5e001b309ce3\](https://bikeinsights.com/compare?geometries=68b9395e1e3c5e001b309ce2,68b9395e1e3c5e001b309ce3)

**My main questions:**

  1. S or M frame - what would you go with?
  2. Any recommendations on crank length for my measurements? The S comes with 165mm and the L with 170mm
  3. If deciding for an S: What stem length? 100mm?
  4. What about stack in the both sizes?
  5. Anyone out there with similar proportions who can share their experience?

Would really appreciate any insights from folks who've been through this sizing dilemma or who ride a similar Cube model!

Thanks in advance!
