Do VLSI graduates from top IITs gets better teams (in terms of work quality) than other colleges?

So I know for fact that for software roles, top college graduates are often picked by important teams at MNC's , my cousin at UBER told they only hire IITians/NITians for certain teams.

Does same thing happen for VLSI graduates too, everyone who gets hired end up in random teams or they get in teams with better work( better is a subjective word, I just want to know if they get exposure to better work early in their careers).

Please dont vent on me, this is a genuine question

Do I have Chance at any of these universities with these qualifications

CGPA - 7.86/10
Target Course - Masters in Electronics Engineering

My undergraduate course work highly matches the Italian university course for masters degree. And I hold minors in VLSI Design along with my Engineering degree

I carried out two internships during my undergraduate in Electronics domain , ASIC and FPGA . One internship in Computer Storage Multinational Company other in a Government space organization. Work carried out there is highly alligned with degree and industry.

Went to two international rover competitions , worked in electronics domain. (I dont know if this will help make my application strong).

so can i get in (I will be applying for 2027)

  1. Polimi
    2.UniBo
    3.Sapienza
    4.PoliTo
    5.Padova

Is there anyone here who has rich parents but they feel only their way of living life is correct?

So, my mother expects me to have

  1. 8+ cgpa (nothing wrong with that)
  2. Expects me eat only veg and at max eggs, however she allows me to eat non veg when I am not at home.
  3. Always talks in a taunt style of language because I my internship didnt convert to full time (the team got fired actually).

She is not willing to accept the fact that I can be different than her, I can think independently and act independently.

My parents never said no to anything that needed money like college, but if I eat non veg there always will be some kind of lecture before transferring money.

So, Here I am , I get money but no emotional support, all those small things where I am indirectly being told that you need to follow my religion, need to eat only what they want me to, you need to be great student(believe me I study a lot, but getting 8.5+ cg is tuff), when I told how I feel, she said its all pity things and you are wasting time thinking about wrong things, Idk how to tackle with my mother, I asked if we could go to the psychologist she said , I she was not wrong and she dosent need it but I surely need it(I do feel like I need it badly).

id what I am expecting from this post, but just sharing it cuz my mother wont listen to me, and when I tell her these things she says I am crazy.

How to keep ourselves industry relevant with AI entering VLSI

I am going to start my Mtech in microelectronics next year, I see layoffs happening across industries because of AI. Although I have skills relevant to frontend VLSI , like SV, Verilog, FPGA dev, etc . What are other technical skills that might hold immense value in future in Frontend VLSI?
One of my friend working at STM said ML is been used for something in Design, I didnt understand why.
Industry Experts please give your opinion

Placement for Mtech VLSI at NIT/IIT vs BITS/Manipal

from what i researched about placements of private institutes like , MSIS, Nirma and all for Microelectronics/VLSI . Their Placement department heavily depend on 1 year internships and they hope for PPO, but they rarely have Placement offers.
I have seen a considerable amount of students are not able to convert the offers not because of their performance but becuase there was no full time vacancy. Which is horrible as you spent a year with a company and now you are jobless in this ruthless market.

But in IITs or BITS I didnt get any info about how placements exactly works. I am sure they would be getting the Internship offers as well , but are PPO's guaranteed to them based on performance? Do IIT/NIT's get the Placement offers as well in VLSI field?

I am asking this becuz i dont want to end up with nothing after internship from private insitutes , so maybe i will grind now for GATE to get IIT/NIT

edit: I added bits in the list of other private institutes, sorry guys, my lack of info

So i am pretty much done with my Bachelors in Electronics Engineering. I have no clue what my chances are to get into any grad school for MS in electrical (niche in VLSI ).

1.I have been a robotics team, won 2 national awards for a rover competitions and 10th in an International competition held in Poland. Also have leadership ex becuz of this.
2. I did internship at Western Digital in Vlsi domain and currently interning at the national space agency of my country in same domain.
3. My cg is 3.07/4

which universities can i get? in US, EU or anywhere. All i see on internet is people doing crazy things to get in prestigious institutions but i have no idea where I stand.
someone please give your thoughts.
