Finally got my SSM on, but it's a little shifted passenger side
Only took so long because with children I am only able to work on it for short periods at a time.
Few questions. Are there any problems with the rubber bushings touching the frame rails?
They're within mms of being completely level. The passenger side does need to come up only a few mms. But both the driver and passenger side need to simultaneously shift left half a finger.
Ive tried bending the exhaust hangers but I'm finding it doesn't make much difference at all. Unless someone has a really good tip for which of the 5 hangers I should be bending maybe I'll just leave it where it is for now. I am hoping the driver side with only 1 finger of space won't melt my rear defuser's plastic. I bend the hangers on the car, not the mufflers right?
Wish me luck. Attempting in the morning
Do I need to put any thread lock or anti-seize on the bolts?
thank you u/taetwotimes
How should I repair this area on my house siding? Foam, caulk or flashing?
Maine, metal siding
How would you "temporarily" fix this bottom stey?
The bottom step is getting very spongy, weak & soft. I am not sure if it's fiberglass or made entirely of plywood to begin with. It is free standing (not attached to the house) The hand rail has already been replaced with a sturdy homemade/make shift handrail to begin with before I owned the house. I don't have the money right now to replace the entre step set. I do have a bunch of scrap wood, screws, deck bolts, tools & pressure treated plywood. I was thinking of just screwing a piece of pressure treated plywood to/over the bottom step. Okay plan, terrible idea, know a better way?
Is this all the same lip?
I am about to buy a lip for my 2000 ap1, silver-stone metallic & red interior. I believe this ebay "GT-S style" will look best with black Honda weatherstrip. I don't love the lips that flow into the grill//intake & fake vents like the GReddy GRacer or the Back Yard Special... however I do love the Rock Star Garage Gears lip. However the RSG Gears lip... I think visually it would need a Mugen or Seibon wing for visual balance.
I was lucky enough to get an oem wing spoiler in great condition for $650. I need it painted to color match plus I have a dent to fix in my boot lid anyway. I plan to do the prep work (from the directions I found on s2ki), get the lip painted professionally plus follow the directions to fit the lip. I am not afraid of polyurethane.
I have one backup idea... to buy both the ebay "GT-S style" lip & an oem replica, have both painted, test fit both. Figure out what works//looks best with the oem wing spoiler. However I cannot decide if I should get a Bayson R or ikon ap1 replica. ebay (I have a $70 offer).
