Bonnie's spot was stolen this morning
She will have her revenge

She will have her revenge
Will justice ever be served?
Bonnie says she is already striped like a criminal so surely she is guilty.
Maize says it's first come first served, so ya snooze, ya lose, and she will not share
What is your judgement on this case π§
She is a pretty little princess π₯°
That or they are getting used to me. This is a female and she came right up to inspect my camera. The open avairy is one of my favorite spots π₯°
Of course it was right as I needed to start getting ready to leave to my grandparents π. I found his drink zone though and set a tent up so I can get back to it when I return.
I suppose I shouldn't hold out hope they will raise the level cap and give us more points. I am already really missing the increased weight capacity π₯²
I didn't even see him in the formation pictures till I got home and started going through them. You could say he stole the thunder π€£
I will be posting many more photo's tomorrow but tonight I am tired π
He just sat there for 3 in game hours, legs moving in the air π
I am also now running across ghost trail. I had 4 different trails of male puma's that I was following only for them to stop cold with no more traces. I ran very far out, to the sides, and backwards but the trails just stopped even if the recent scat still showed fresh. I take it he is playing tricks again.
My plan for tomorrow is to work my way east and check along the river. Maybe I need to stop doing duel hunts. My current operation is go to a drink area, set up, sleep till 14:00, farm Taruca in hopes of getting a diamond, once finished sleep till 00:00, see what cougars show up, kill all the cougars, walk to next watering hole tracking any male cougars we hear chasing along the way, reach new watering hole, and repeat.
I also get a lot of Vicunas durring the Taruca time, some Teals, and the occasional Bear. Its been quite lucrative and getting me the money to supply all the tents and tripods I set up. I suppose if I want full efficiancy and to cover more ground I should only be focused on the Cougars and ignore everything else π
I realized after looking at my map that I after all my hours and exploration I had never set foot in this crater. Upon arriving around 6am I harvested some Vicuna and decided to look around for need zones.
I found a drink zone for a cougar that a male used durring the night. I followed the tracks to a short distance away where I can upon a feed zone. I analyzed some scat and realized he was JUST there (Just now). I never got a single warning or fleeing alert from him. I followed the trail only for it to go cold pretty quick even though his last sign was a pile of scat that was still fresh. The blue circle is the area I searched trying to pick up his trail again but he simple vanished....like a ghost. I will camp out here tonight in hopes he returns. Though I have learned to not be to excited as he is quite the trickster.
One of the many babies emerging at the Minnesota zoo. Little guy got tuckered out exploring his habitat for the first time π₯°
I realized I wasn't doing the drink zones properly. I would shoot with my rifle at the first cougars that showed up resulting in only 1 or 2. After learning some patience I now sit and watch. The last 2 in game nights I have seen 4-5. I was able to stealthily take them all out with my bow except 1 level 6 male that got away. But thats okay because he is not who I am looking for.
I will now be keeping track of what drink zones I check. The blue circle is the spot that I last saw him in a couple weeks ago and the direction he ran. He was fleeing as I had shot at something else and ran right past me. I took some pot shots at him but missed every one. No hunting pressure was on the map so I for sure missed him (and the first thing I shot at because I suck at long range but am trying to get the achievement for hitting something at 400m π )
I was ready to give up and go hunt something else but I found my second wind somehow and am determined again now that I got a routine and a plan. The Ghost is out there, ellusive, silent, hidden, and toying with me. But I will prevail in the end πͺ
Was tracking a male
saw one ahead
took the shot
Was a female, male was right behind her in the bushes
Had to track the male for another Kilometer before getting him, got trolled yet again π©
Or maybe I already am insane, I don't know anymore. Its been several days now, I have slaughtered many. I am starting to wonder if he really is still on my map. I have camped out several drink zones and tracked down many durring the day. I tracked one for 10k and it still wasn't it but I followed him all the way over into Yungas, almost to The Valley of Souls area. That got me wondering though:
Do they stick to the area they spawn in or do they wander around the entire map?
I have heard of a mod called population tracker that can tell me if he is still there. I am very tempted to try it but at the same time it feels...dirty, like I would be taking the easy way out. I want the true hunter experience and I suppose i'm getting it with how frustrated I am getting over this one Cougar.
Would using the population scanner to confirm he is still there be considered cheating?
And for those who haven't been following the saga: The Ghost is a level 9 legendary grey cougar I saw on day 2. I have yet to see him since.
These are the new Przewalski wild horse foals at the Minnesota Zoo having some together π
They are 2 colts the oldest one was born April 5 and the young biter was born on June 4th π
I was tracking a puma for quite a ways. He was always fleeing without warning whenever I got within 100m of him. I wondered if this could finally be The Ghost I was looking for. My heart jumped with excitement when I saw the flash of white *It has to be him*. I started creeping as I closed in, my dog let out a low growl warning me of a predator nearby. I was so close but I couldn't see him. Suddenly there he was right in front of me but he was not the level 9 legend, just mere 8. My disapointment is immeasurable and my day ruined.
Immediatly after the frustration I heard a warning call from another male just over the hill not 100m away. He was yet another false ghost. He is playing his tricks again. The second one sits so smuggly knowing it had me fooled. I camped out yet another watering hole but only had females. I followed the blood trail of the last one I shot and harvested her. I looked around tired and exhausted only to be met with an amazing sight.
I was in the exact spot at the exact same time that I first saw the legendary Ghost! I feel closer than I ever felt before. To find this place again as I finish up my last hunt feels like fate. I am closing in on him. I feel we shall meet again soon but for tonight I must rest, for he shall not go easy. My mind must be sharp so my shot can be true. Goodnight my hunters, my your map be blessed with your own Ghosts in the night π
I was wondering the hills when I happened upon a place that was....familiar. I was confident I had found the place I had seen The Ghost, when hark! A white cougar! But upon inspection I saw it was a female. She then came running by in the same manner as The Ghost once did but I was more experienced now. I hit this time clean and sharp.
As the dawn rose I heard a hunting call from a male in the distance. I took off toward the sound of the hungry predator. As I got closer I crouched and sneaked my way into the opening. I was filled with joy at what I thought was the legendary white cougar only to be met with a level 7 trickster. As I stare at his cheaky grin I realize The Ghost is taunting me. But if he has become so bold that must mean I am getting closer. For as a hunter closes in the hunted gets more cunning, more desprate. But as I go on this journey I wonder...will I be able to pull the trigger when I finally have him in my crosshairs? He has become quite the legend and is creating quite the story. I am starting to feel a connection with this illusive creature.
It is late though so I will continue my journey to track down this illusive creature on Sunday. Good night my fellow hunters π΄
