After 8 months with PX8S2 I am back to Beoplay H100

I switched back to H100 because I found them to sound better than PX8S2. H100 has better bass, bigger and more detailed, relaxed sound.

PX8S2 sounds artificial boosted in middle highs, weaker bass and they have a small soundstage (like earbuds). Also H100 beat PX in anc and they nicely cut the wind noise outside

My intake about Xperia 1 Mark 7

I've owned the Xperia 1 Mark 7 since 2025. I bought this phone mostly for the audio and camera, but over time, I've faced a lot of issues in those departments.

First of all, audio: it's nice to have aptX Lossless codecs, and the speakers are very good, but I have a problem with the AAC codec. Whenever I connect to my AirPods Max using this codec, the highs in the music keep disappearing back and forth, so I have to switch to the SBC codec. It's the same with my Beoplay H100, which only has the AAC codec, so the problem is definitely in the phone.

The screen was okay in the beginning, but it's getting annoying over time. It has a low PPI and resolution, and it's not sharp enough, so my eyes get tired after a few hours of usage. I owned the Xperia 1 Mark 5 before...

The camera is supposed to be good, but it's not. Very often I just want to snap a quick shot, pulling the phone out of my pocket, but the camera has issues with autofocus. For a few moments, the screen is just blurry, and I miss shots almost every time. Also, there is some problem with colors—for example, I wore green pants, but they looked bronze in the photo. I only use the auto mode, as I don't care about manual photos; it just takes too much time.

Video has very bad stabilization in every mode I've tried, so I have to edit every shot one by one in the gallery app. Speaking of which, the gallery app is very bad and not intuitive.

My wife's iPhone 15 Pro Max does better night video than my Xperia. Also, when I record a video and zoom in, there is a visible jump every time the next lens is activated, and it just looks bad. It's not smooth like it should be for this brand and price.

The battery is good enough—I can't say anything bad or good about it.

Other than that, the Xperia software is very fast and snappy, but it lacks customization.

I can't recommend this phone, it only looks nice

I tried Beoplay H95 vs PX8S2

Hi

I own a PX8S2 and was wondering about Beoplay H95 because I heard some good opinions about them.

So I got H95 today and just tested 2 songs and I knew the difference was stark.

First comfort: PX8 feels amazing and sits on the head like a cloud but H95 feels cheap and light, they are moving on the head and my ears touch ear mesh inside

H95 Sound: (heavy metal) My first impression H95 sound mudded in mids. mids are recessed and much less detailed. Voices are hidden, guitars much less pronounced. The overall sound was much less detailed in midrange

(Electro and Rap) It was the same impression, H95 sound muffled in midrange, maybe bass gets lower but was less punchy

I was shocked at how much better and more detailed PX8S2 sound. They have a bigger soundstage and amazing punchy midrange where guitar and voices kick in mine ears. PX8S2 are just miles ahead in those music genres

Beoplay H95 or PX8

Hi

I need a recommendation on which headphone will sound better for Rock and Hip Hop music. I am using Spotify lossless over Bluetooth

I owned H100 but not quite happy with sound and only AAC codec.

I need a headphone what is not sibiliant fatiguing and have nice sound on mids/vocal and backgrounds. Which one should I pick up ?

PX8, PX8S2, H95 for smooth treble ?

Hi all

I would like to ask for advice on which one I should choose.

I own a PX8S2 and they are amazing, sound phenomenal, sharp and powerful but I am facing some fatigue from extended highs.

They sound good with Rock and Metal but when I listen to Hip Hop I can hear "ss" peak at around 12 Hz which makes my ears cry (I have very good hearing at my age of 30)

I don't want to use any external EQ app as they reduce audio quality

I want to ask how PX8 sounds ? They are less fatigued in highs? they still sound as good as S2 but with less high peaks ?

I am also considering Beoplay H95 as their treble are smooth. Have some of you tried them and give any advice comparing to PX8?

Beoplay H95 or BW PX8 S2 ?

Hi

I would like to ask if any of you have compared these two headphones and could advise which one I should pick up?

I only care about sound quality and listen mostly to Rap, Electro and Metal songs. I will use them over BT with aptx codec

Tired of PX8S2 sibiliant

Hello

I own a PX8S2 and I like how these sound, full of texture and powerful but I am tired of sibilants. I tried EQ with Poweramp but I need to reduce highs pretty much and the sound gets muddy.

I am looking for any alternative from who faced the same issue and found the right headphone.

I am not a big fan of Sony, Bose etc. They are not in the same league in sound quality. I consider Beoplay H95 at the moment but maybe can you recommend something else ? I mostly listen to Rap, Electro and Metal music.

Alternative for PX8S2 ?

Hello

I really like my PX8S2 for how it sounds and looks. But I am tired of SIBILANT. I tried EQ from different apps and always when I reduced High peaks sound gets muddy also. I can't EQ them in the proper way.

I listen to lossless music from Spotify, all genres

I am looking for premium ANC headphones that don't have any sibiliant and sound as good as my PX8s2 and support High resolution codecs

I was thinking about:

Master & Dynamic MW75

Sennheiser HDB 630 or Momentum 4

Battery degradation Xperia 1 m7

Hello

My battery has 230 cycles and the condition is showing 94%. My phone is 1 year old. I always charge my phone up to 80% and never use a wireless charger. What do you think about battery degradation? I would expect the condition to be a little better than it is now

After 6 months with PX8S2 and playing with EQ everyday I found my perfect EQ. It suits for all genres. You thank me later :)

Hi

I need some recommendations from you on which headphone I could get next. I have owned:

1.Airpods Max- good soundstage but no EQ and only aac codec, they also don't sound so good

1.Beoplay H95- narrow soundstage, sound quite sibilant and can't EQ properly with the app, also too low volume

2.Beoplay H100- good soundstage and good bass but sound only a little better then airpods Max, only aac codes, also quite heavy

3.B&W PX8S2- nice pair of headphones sound very nice but they lack subbass, sound sibilant and need EQ, also quite muddy in mids compared to H100, soundstage mediocre

I would like to find a pair of headphones which are nice, slim on the head, good for going out and ok for a gym. Headphone with a big soundstage, sounding good in subbass and mids

I was considering M&D MW75 or Senheizer Momentum 4 or HDB 630 or maybe do you know something else ? please no Focal and Dali because they are bulky and not nice
