endless tower is too brutal?

I’ve finished the game and I’m just casually exploring. I don’t find enemies hard at all at level 75, but I feel like I’ve hit a bottleneck. So I tried out the Endless Tower. I fought the Qualist, and I died in the first or second round. Maelle has 10,000 life but couldn’t even make it to the third round. Is that even intended? What’s next? Should I start NG+?

i'm done with dating. My life is much better now

My emotions used to always be up and down, which affected my career and, obviously, my personal life. Now that I’m past 28, my life is so stable and free of relationship problems. Other types of conflict, like those with colleagues or family, are much less impactful to me now. Maybe I just don't give a damn lol. I've found a peaceful way to deal with life's problems, which is to deal less with people and focus on the things I actually want to do.

general problem of modern rpg games

There are open-world RPGs nowadays that are super complex. Without the internet, it’s so frustrating and might even lead to abandoning the game. It’s hard because the map is freaking big.

Unlike simple RPG games in the past, where you had to do one thing to progress, and you knew that by going to the newest place, you would eventually find the next step to move forward.

But in newer RPGs or open-world games, you can do whatever you want, but eventually, you just become lost.

Is rtx5090 worth it?

Or similar range build. I can spend that money but 20-30k might as well go travel. Because I think my eyes can't notice the difference. If I spent 10k can already have 95% of 20k, I'll use the 10k to buy other stuff like monitor, speakers or better a chair.

dating strategy is like finding a job

i learned something recently about dating. I used to be an innocent young guy, just date when there's a chance. Then i got into so many upset, things didn't work out. But after so many years seeing the same pattern in switching job, I learned that if you don't know what you want someone will give you bad options. Then later you will complain why your boss treat you this and that way.

If you set your bar high, have something to offer and limit your pool, omg the quality of girls are limited but it helps you to filter out the one you dislike. Just like in finding a job, it's just a matter of time you will know there are red flag with some hiring manager. You can already tell you're going to work OT during the interview. They will ask you how you handle stress and weekend shift. If you're not careful and accept that offer, what do you expect? You will work OT for sure!! That's why you must do the same in dating.

You need to be upfront what you want? just tell upfront you don't want gold digger and want to date for marriage as an example. Then you will filter out those who just want to date for fun. if you don't have preference, you will be surprised hanging out with people who will surprised you also, especially those who are broken and have lots of problem. Suddenly a girl I know for 1 month asking for money and fetch her to work. I was like wtf, don't you have a job. Now you don't want to drive anymore?

Questioning Christianity and Christian leaders

This might not be a Reformed-specific question, but due to the quality of discussion in other places on Reddit, I can’t really engage in an intellectual discussion there. So I’m sincerely opening the discussion here.

My background is also Reformed, so I know Reformed denominations don’t shy away from hard questions, unlike some groups that tend to favor emotion and experience.

Back to the main concern: things have piled up to the point where I’ve started to question the Christian community. Why is the title targeting Christian leaders? Because they are the frontline people. The community, or even Christianity as a whole, falls on their shoulders. It’s not fair to have the same expectation for new converts or those who aren’t even active in the church. I’ve also been observing how things work in other religions, and to my surprise, they are similar. I’m seeing the same pattern.

Do people just use Jesus’ sacrifice as a tool for personal gain, just as other religions use stories or tricks to build influence? That’s my question.

I’m a convert because I’ve done my research on how legitimate Jesus is. I believe Jesus isn't a fraud or a dude that never existed, but I’m disappointed by my church experience. Maybe this is common for those who have been in church for decades.

The same issues keep coming up: power struggles, backstabbing, hiding facts, and whitewashing history, leaders departure for new venture. I’m tired of switching churches because Christians are so divided. It’s worse than the worldly system, such as changing jobs. My church membership isn’t valid in the churches nearby, whereas in my job industry, people kind of know each other, and I can change jobs with a reference letter.

In the Protestant world? There is constant fighting, and people just keep starting their own movements. Whatever the reasons are, and whatever they tell their people, could it all come down to one thing?

Do people just use Jesus as a tool for personal gain, just like how most religions work?

bosses at plague makes no sense

the level is 20x harder to kill than the regular enemies wtf? i crushed the enemies easily with my tank build but when it comes to the bosses they could kill me with 3-4 hit while i'm blocking! i have 400 freaking health and physical resistant of 70%. Dafuk the capped lvl at 30 to force me to farm super rare item is just pissed me off!

base stats of weapons are less important

than gems like ring. I think this is broken. I hold highest tier weapon, lvl 16, the base stat looks good, armor 800 point, sword 400 damage, but so useless without rings with gem equid! it doesn't feel balance because of the effort finding rare items to craft the item and upgrade them!

Shield can have runes

But I'm 70 hrs into the game, done with the story, didn't see any runes for the shield? I've 4 util runes for bare hand and 4 sword runes fully equipped, where to find shield runes?

i've stopped playing this game

because the dimishing return is too little after i've upgrade, exhalted my weapon, still can't be beat enemy easily. so the dev are saying i need to put 1000 hrs to find the secret gem that drop 0.01% after finish 100 plague clearance? no thanks

i enjoyed the beginning where my effort paid off, but after i've reached to the end of the story, all left is boring plauge clearnace and hopping miracle gem will appear. It's not rewarding anymore if hoping gem to drop at 0.01% rate is the only thing i can do. Maybe i will wait till october to make progress.

i know lifesteay. I gain hp when hitting enemy... but what is lifesteal againt Bleeding Enemies? the enemies that's on fire? the enemies that doesn't have full hp? it's confusing as hell. I need official term for this explanation! can someone point me to a site where it explains everything?

so level 16 is max for weapon upgrade?

https://preview.redd.it/9eux1wy8dj8h1.png?width=1528&format=png&auto=webp&s=2f136c2ce1f1568f702fbc5145b1ce9b0a00e465

and when should we you exalt in watcher? i think the sequence should be

max out weapon stats (because it use torn as well), then find super rare gem (i'm still looking for damange return gem!), clear negative if you used enchant, then only exact in watcher? because exact is not reversible and it cost a tons of effect because it use torn effigy

am i right?

is my shield looks good? or it's waste of time? i still got stunned because i don't know where to look for poise stats. I expect i can block and do nothing but it's not strong enough when 3-4 enemies launch attack on the same time damn!

Idea for tank build

Stats focus on health, strength and focus.

Add gem to shield that will return damage when use block.

Add gem to single hand weapon for life steal.

Use focus to heal, need not to use any food if enemy damage is too great

If you can have enough health like 500, no way you need to dodge with this strategy.

The challenge is finding those gems!!

30 max level is a bad idea

for EA it should be 40 because my stats suck when gem and good weapon is freaking hard to find. I died like so many times fighting non boss plague enemies!

I parried like king in assassin's creed but only have about 30% success rate in nrftw, some moves from enemy can't be parried at all. If there are 3-4 launch attack at the same time the only option is a solid shield otherwise 300 hp would still die.

i did the most terrible mistake adding to the wrong stat

No wonder I was struggling! for 2h build i just need strength, stamina and health. i was maxing my equid load. It is so wrong because armor is useless. i can get lifesteal if my strength is high. stamina allow me to swing more hit. armor is only useful if defense damage back to the enemy.

now i'm running naked without anything, i have helmet to use the gem power that's all.
